Reading Zoro’s character description for the LA really hit me hard with the fact that Zoro’s probably happier now than he’s ever been in his life. “Meeting Luffy is the biggest thing that ever happened to Zoro”. And yes yes yes that’s true for most Strawhats, but thats usually because Luffy freed them from villains who were actively making their lives their lives miserable. Zoro was in trouble when he met Luffy, yes, but it was because of a deal he willingly made with Helmeppo, a punishment he decided to endure against someone who wasn't a real threat to him. Zoro was always free to do as he pleased. But, much like Luffy was before setting sail himself, he was also terribly alone.

Unable to build connections because once he set sail from each island his sense of direction made it so he could never return. Having to fight and kill to afford each meal, while maintaining a very demanding lifestyle. Facing each battle knowing that even if he wins, it’s could still be game over, as he couldn’t afford to sit back and let himself recover, and there was no one he could trust to help him dress wounds and stand up again.

By giving him a navigator, a cook, a doctor, a crew, Luffy has given him the world. People to love and protect and fall back on, people to help him follow his dream and enjoy every second of the chase. And I’m sure he tells himself that if he were to quit the crew at any time, he’d survive on his own just fine, but that’s such an empty fucking threat because these people have made him happier than he’s ever been, just as free as before but now finally living. I love him sm.

I love how zolu fics that included marriage are usually between two extremes:

Either they got married in their solo sailing days/before meeting nami and have been married the whole time.

Or they're going through the slowest of slowest burns ever spanning the entirety of one piece and vow to get married after they fulfill their dreams.

Angry on behalf of their daughter again, I love how Zoro lets Luffy beat up the beast pirates upto his heart's content even though they agreed on a plan to stay unnoticed. Love that he says "alright Luffy if you are satisfied now, Lets get out of here."

Zoro's tough love towards Luffy reminding him to be careful is so heartwarming.

Usual Zoro protecting and taking care of Luffy when his haki ran out. He is carrying Luffy while fighting his opponents 😭😭😭😭

Zoro declaring to the Yonkos that Luffy is his captain husband multiple times, he used every ounce of power in his body to protect Luffy using his best attack and was able to awaken his conqueror's Haki due to Luffy.

I don't care what people say but luffy and zoro definitely have something going on. Whether or not its just loyalty is totally up to the viewer but you cannot deny their bond is unbreakable.
