I moved out a year ago and thought it'd be cool to share what I've learned so you don't have to suffer as much :,)
Decide a day to sit down and pay all bills and everyone
Know and accept you won't get your initial budget right, it took me a year
Google is your friend, but people are better.
Especially when looking for cheap markets and places to eat, or safe streets to walk around, people know more than google.
4. Speaking of cheap markets... get those (free) memberships for discounts. But most importantly, dowload and check every supermarket app and search for the cheapest one.
5. When looking for a place to live, try to speak with people who live there and check google maps reviews and your countrys site for custumers complaints.
6. You likely don't need to clean as often as your family told you, but cleaning your place will make you feel better. And you gotta clean the fridge. And hair. So much hair.
7. If you don't have a fridge, just a small cooler, check if the building has a common fridge/kitchen and Don't. Be. Shy to use it please.
I recommend not moving into a place without a fridge if you don't plan on eating out or going to the market every two days.
8. Carry your documents with you, or write them down or make a copy. I recommend not carrying the original since if you lose it/get mugged it's a pain in the ass to get it fixed.
9. Cook as much as you can in one go, but don't overwhelm yourself. Get those washed vegetables and cut onions, do what you need so you don't end up exhausted and crying on the floor... not that I've ever done that myself...
10. It's gonna feel hard at times and that's ok! The freedom is worth it, and after a year I'm really happy with all the progress I've made
11. Avoid pets, especially in a scenario that you're moving around or in a small studio or with financial difficulties (this can change from ppl to ppl etc)
12. Join or make a chat group with everyone in the building, without the sindicate so y'all can be honest about complains and create a single, solid complaint before showing it to the sindicate. (apartment manager? syndic? assignee? idk, whoever fixes things)
That's all I can remember for now, feel free to ad or correct me if you like :)
Why should we read the Bible?
1. Know God's will (Ps 119:105)
2. Grow in faith (Rom 10:17)
3. Receive instruction (2 Tim 3:16)
4. Receive correction (2 Tim 3:16)
5. Find comfort (Rom 15:4)
6. Find encouragement (Rom 15:4)
7. Share it with others (1 Pet 3:15)
8. Equip ourselves (2 Tim 3:16–17)
9. Overcome temptation (Ps. 119:11)

she (the sun) did it again

will ever be able to post on the day i study? we shall never know. *through tears* yesterday. i took myself on a study date and i was very productive! after coming back to my dorm, i once again studied in the cafeteria because it’s fun to be there. :]
In the end, all I learned was how to be strong, alone
August sun, soft and sweet
A bright sky slipping down my chin
Tiny grin, this little sin, no one knows
The sticky underneath
So lush to linger
Linger longer
Summer flesh, softened lips
Would you like a taste?
Guys? I think I'm really tired. Sometimes I just sit listening to people and I think: "I really wish I could hear you..." You know? Like with my own ears. I wanna listen to your voice completely unaided by technology. I wish I could hear what you sound like with my own ears. I just wanna hear you without everything sounding so dulled like it's underwater. It's been so freaking long since I really heard someone and I really just wanna hear you talk. I just wanna hear you talking, not even saying much, just talking. For hours and hours if you have the time. And I wish I could say things back and not stutter and sound like an idiot. I wish I could carry a conversation like other people can. I wish I could freaking talk. But I can't talk to you about all the crazy things I think of or listen to all the dumb things you have to say because some guy thought that it was more important for them to drink and drive than it was for me to be able to tell you the joke I heard yesterday the way I heard it said. I just really wish that accident had never freaking happened.
February is right around the corner, which means it’s soon time for Funguary 2023! the drawing event where we draw a bunch of mushroom based characters during the month of feb.
Here’s how it works:
Each week of the month will have a theme with seven different prompts, draw something mushroom related within that theme in order to join. The themes are Weird, Mystical, Malicious and Friendly. You don’t have to complete all the prompts, just one mushroom per theme/week is plenty!
If you’re hardcore you can definitely try and finish all the prompts though ;). The challenge intensity is adjustable to what suits you. This is a chill event where the goal is to just have fun and vibe, and honor the fungi kingdom with some really cool art🍄
I invite you all to come draw mushrooms with me! Use the hashtag #Funguary when posting your creations. I’ll be posting some of the creations here, and I’ll also be hanging out in the hashtag and comment sections! Really hope y’all join and draw fungi with me🥰🍄🌿 See you all on the first of February, LETS GOOOO!!
