I'm rejecting the narrative where umbrella academy takes place in one of those Out of Time worlds because like. just THINK of the online freakout that would've happened when Vanya dropped her book. that would have been the That Bitch(tm) moment of the millennium. #ReginaldHargreevesIsOverParty would have been trending world wide. the DISCOURSE over her siblings actions that would have been started....and they're always going on about how she exposed family secrets but we don't even know what the secrets were! anyway here's some shitty memes I imagine would pop up on twitter after her book came out

The things the Hargreeves each say to Vanya in the brain eating scene match up perfectly with how they see themselves/who they are.

Klaus accuses her of faking it, when we see a performance from him for the entirety of the show. He fakes almost everything the family sees from him.

Luther accuses her of not trying hard enough, and we know that Luther thinks he wasn't a good enough Number One. He pins this on himself completely.

Allison accuses her of using her powers too much and not being able to handle the consequences. This TOTALLY follows with her s1 plotline and her decision to use and use of her powers in s2.

Ben says that she isn't ready and it isn't her fault. This is how Ben views his death, we know from s1.

Diego and Five don't say anything because they don't REALLY know themselves at all. These two have declined getting to know themselves in favor of dedicating themselves to saving others. Diego literally says he doesn't have daddy issues. Diego. And Five does not know who he is without an apocalypse, or what to do with himself when it's over.

I think this is interesting. I dunno. I don't think any of these people (except Ben) ACTUALLY feel this way about Vanya. It's an analysis on them, done by Vanya in Vanya's head, but because Vanya is the way she is, it gets directed at her.

If the siblings’ season 3 alternate selves don’t have their actors’ accents imma be so mad.

Vanya Hargreeves from The Umbrella Academy is very autistic coded in my opinion. She doesn't express emotions well and bc of this could be seen as cold by some, generally awkward in social situations, is easily overwhelmed, and playing her violin is a stim for her. Her powers are tied to her emotions so when she gets overwhelmed and starts to have a meltdown her powers react along with her. I see a lot of myself in her honestly.

im gonna be totally real with you. i crack a lot of jokes here on butchvanya dot tumblr dot edu but im serious about this one. i ABSOLUTELY want (girlboss) harold jenkins to appear in season three because i think it would be very funny. i want to see vanya kill him again. like yeah yeah he didn’t do All That Hogwash in this timeline and ‘boohoo don’t kill someone for a crime they didn’t commit’ but consider: im a lesbian and i would like to see it. season two neglected a Key Aspect of vanya’s character which is that deep down she’s fucking furious all the time. she is so so angry and i would like to see it used for productive purposes, i.e. killing her abusive ex a second time just because she can. we were ROBBED of vanya jumping on reginald’s back like a spider monkey and tearing him limb from limb in a light supper and i would like to see leonard PISSbody get destroyed a second time to make up for it. 

there’s no way to know if he has the same relationship with the sparrow academy as he did with the umbrella academy but. i do not care. i want vanya to see him from across the street and run over and drop kick him before she even has one (1) rational thought. i want him to have no idea who she is. i want his last thought to be wondering why and how a tiny lesbian he’s never seen before in his life is telekinetically throwing him into traffic. i want this all to be played for comedy. i want it to add absolutely nothing to the plot. i want it to be an isolated scene that is never once revisited in the rest of the season. i want all the siblings to watch approvingly.

Because the siblings powers are evolving, what if Five can turn back the time on things other than people. Like he can make a house go back in time to what it looked like 20 years ago.

Another idea I had is he can make events that happened in the past play again. Like if someone gets kidnapped and Five can replay the event to find out what happened.

Is it weird a part of me is hoping the sparrow academy are just the guys from the hillywood parody?
