These days, many readers like to share how their deck is mean or sarcastic to them. And while that makes most modern witches laugh, those of us born into the old path know that that is not the behavior of a deck that feels cherished and compelled to return the love.
Stop using it lightly.
Do not use your deck in a place where it is in danger of becoming filthy. You do not have to clean your whole house before a reading. But do clean a space big enough where your deck will feel safe. Wipe the dust off your reading table. Sweep the floor surrounding it, so when a card jumps out, it is not at risk of being soiled.
Stop using it when you are unkempt.
A tarot reading is an appointment with a power bigger than you, whether you believe that to be a god, the Universe or your higher self. Catholics dress up for church as a sign of respect to their own higher power. At the very least, make sure your hands are clean and your hair is out of the way before you lay out the cards.
Stop using it when you are unprepared.
Your deck is always ready to tell you divine truths. But if it feels you are not ready to receive them, your deck will withhold them until you are. Take deep breaths to quiet your mind. Dim the lights to relax your eyes. Play music to calm your soul. Drink some water to soothe your throat. Just as friends open up when they see you listening, so will your cards.
Stop using it for people who do not believe.
Beginners usually offer to do free readings for friends and family as practice. While that is a good idea, make sure you filter the people you do this for. Like humans, tarot likes being held in high regard. Most skeptics consciously ridicule tarot and subconsciously reject it completely. Your deck will not enjoy such hostility.
Stop assuming you are its owner by default.
Even if your deck is not a family heirloom or not bought second-hand, stores repackage returned items and sell them as brand new. These decks are likely to have felt hurt and rejected. So upon receiving any new deck, introduce yourself and welcome it into your life. Promise it that it will be cared for and protected from this moment.
Tarot is a wise and powerful entity. When it is not getting the respect it deserves, of course it behaves poorly. You require its advice. In exchange, it demands your appreciation. Surely, that is not too much of an imposition.
*This is a quote from a reading Iβd previously done on Taehyung from BTS. I donβt remember which one because itβs no longer on my blog, but I did feel prompted to share some messages Iβve channeled regarding this phrase.Β
You know how in the hunger games, thereβs those people in the game makers room controlling everything and the people in the games are like, what the fuck is happening?
The moon is like a galactic UN and when the Earth Experiments were going on, they were like the dudes in the game makers room.
When the Earth Experiments ended and the cosmic beings that had been worshiped as gods went back to their home planets or underground, those on the moon released their control over earthβs atmosphere.
Those who βcome from the moonβ either had past lives as extraterrestrials or their current DNA has extraterrestrial properties. A few of us were actually born on the moon, had our DNA adjusted, and were sent back down to earth to help with the great awakening.
Some people were born on the sunβ¦ possibly in the sun, but Iβm pretty sure they said βon the sunββ¦ something about DNA activations and cosmic things like thatβ¦ Some people have DNA that came from the sun and was altered or added to their current system on the surface of the sunβ¦
Sorry, I kinda felt the need to make this post because this is how it makes sense to me, and I hope it helps those who are trying to use states but are confused
This isn't meant to tread on any toes btw, I'm just explaining it for the people like me who just can't wrap their heads around the way it's worded π
Anyways, when you're in the state of having something, you're literally just assuming that you have it. Basically the rules of states are:
intend to be in the state of having what you want (intend to assume that you have what you want), and that will be enough to get you into that state (assumption)
being in the state of having (assuming that you have it) will get you what you want quickly
Return to the state (assume you have it) often, but don't worry about doing it 24/7. The goal is to make your desired state (assumption) your dominant state (assumption).
In simpler terms: assume you have what you want and you will get it quickly π₯°
I hope this clears it up for the people who were super confused with the language they use!! It took me a while to figure this out, but it makes sense that it's just LOA worded differently π

Reason is the trickster of inner self's freedom. It temps you to trade your desire for comfort and new over the old.
Throughout our lives we've accepted that reason is a sort of currency in the world of imagination, you want to convince someone of something in return for the feeling of having their trust and do so through language. But words have no place in the world of imagination, they build roads that limit the inner man from going where he wishes to go. We've accepted that to convince self, or be convinced, has to be through words of logical reason.
It's only when we truly go within and feel around that we realize how limiting words themselves can be. Realize this, trying to reason yourself into why and how you are what you want to be will also be how you reason yourself out of it. As the inner man you don't have explain why u are who you want to be, why you have your desire through words and then hope it works.
Are you trying to convince the 3D or yourself?
Because then after the acceptance of doubtful event, your inner self feels " I don't have it" and is met with you saying "no i do have it now, look" then you proceed to imagine different things in an attempt at changing things in the 3D bc you believe satisfaction lies there, only to spiral further and panic.
Do not trust in my advice to be the full proof answer that will finally make u manifest but trust in your ability to understand and guide yourself through it, you can take my words and make them your own.
If creation is finished, then to desire is to have because it exists, you desire it because it exists and how could u want sth beyond your comprehension or its existence? you reason yourself into why you should go into the kitchen if you're hungry? Do you reason why you are in your bed right now?
Trying to reason or explain why you have what you want is the outer man trying to find a logical way things would happen through his limited sight, because he does not see what you, the inner man feels.
I know it can be incredibly difficult for some of you to silence the thoughts of reason, but the point is not to silence thoughts. It's about choosing not to deal with them.
I remember a time after I decided to let go of my negative thoughts, it was only because I cared only about what I wanted to feel, rather than what I should. Reason tried to argue with me but I would always shut it down with "but I really do not care" because I didn't, I didn't care how real it was or even I'd it was real, if I was doing it right. I only cared about feeling it for myself.
If you have to use words and reason yourself into it, you'll find yourself stuck bc words can be limiting to the inner man who feels beyond man made language. We put our feelings into words, but we know that what we feel is far greater than what we say. In a change of state you won't have to explain how you have what you want when you're met with doubt.
You don't reason with your thoughts, you don't reason against objects, you're going against yourself and trying to convince yourself at the same time. It is the same as " well I can't make it happen in the 3D but I have to find a way to materialize it by imagining and if I convince myself then I'll finally have it "
The feeling (acceptance) of self is all that matters and the core of Neville's laws. Neville never imagined to "get out" of a situation or "make something happen" he did it to change himself. He imagined being in Barbatos-the complete opposite environment where he was- to convince himself he was already there, not to forcefully feel happy or greatful, but to show himself proof he was there, and the outer world followed.
Instead of using words as your way to get by in imagination, bring life to it through feeling. Reason might be your currency but belief is your fortune.
I donβt care what anybody says, its impossible for me to miss my βwindowβ. I am the window, I create the window myself. People believe so much into the logic of βoh it doesnβt work like thatβ well for you it may not. but for me, Iβm going to get whats mine, and thats that.Β
"I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination encircles the world"
β Albert Einstein
How and when to cleanse your tarot deck
It's very important, especially if you sell readings, to keep your deck nice and clean. Working with energy means that a part of it can always remain in the deck and come back later to affect your readings. Your deck deserves love and care π
π§ββοΈ When π§ββοΈ
After readings. I recommend this one for bigger readings or those that drained you out of energy. If you sell readings or do them for strangers, I would say after every reading.
If cards from the previous reading show up in the current one (more than one). This basically means there is energy left from the other reading and it can interfere with the outcome of the current spread.
When you buy a new deck. Anyone who touched it can leave their energetic imprint on it and even if that is not the case, cleansing the deck helps you start with a fresh energy.
If you are in a bad mood/state. I personally think every reader who practices tarot at least once in a while has a connection with the cards and your energy alone can impact the reading.
The readings are unclear/confusing. This can be the result of many mixed-up energies.
When you haven't used your deck in a while. Old energy that has to go!!
Someone else touches the deck. While this is good if you are reading for the person that did it, you can't let anyone else touch it. As mentioned above, energetic imprint.
π§ββοΈ Ways/Methods π§ββοΈ
Knock on the deck three times. I do this before every single reading as it's quite simple.
Shuffle while imagining the energy leaving the deck.
Put a crystal on top of it and leave it for a while. Crystals I recommend : black tourmaline, rose quartz, amethyst, clear quartz, smoky quartz.
Leave it in the moonlight throughout the night. I've seen a lot of people doing it on full moons which makes sense.
Pass it through candle/incence/sage smoke.
Put in the middle of a circle of salt and leave it there for a while.
You can also leave it in the sunlight as well.
Meditate with the intention of cleansing while having physical contact with the deck.
I've also seen people organizing their decks by suits. I personally don't do this but everyone has different ways of doing things so try whatever feels good to you!
