TAYLOR SWIFT 'The Eras Tour' Concert Film premiere, Los Angeles October 11, 2023
TAYLOR SWIFT The Eras Tour Concert Film
After @taylornation ‘s most recent post I believe there will be a Cruel Summer music video.
I am not sure when but, it’s been all the talk. I am so glad cruel summer is finally getting it’s moment as a single!!
“Mondays forecast: Cruel Summer dance breaks ☀️🪩👯♀️🤍”
I cannot even begin to dive into this very small Ye seemingly important caption.
It is known that Taylor has referred to Karlie as sunshine many many times. She’s specifically mentioned in the VOGUE friendship video that Karlie reminds her of the sun emoji. ☀️
But this is common information right? Same with knowing that Taylor Swift sees herself as a mirrorball.— The popular song from folklore reveals:
“I’m still trying everything, to keep you looking at me.”
Taylor is always constantly reinventing herself to stay ‘relevant’ shifting her look, sound, and lyrics to create meaningful work.
This lyric and song can also hint at the idea that she’s changed herself for her partners—seeking approval from all the wrong places or people.
— These two emojis being followed up by the gal pals 👯♀️ emoji isn’t shocking. If sunshine and the mirrorball already represent Karlie and Taylor then it’s easy enough to understand that those two things together equal their long history as ‘best friends’ — the white heart, however, doesn’t have a clear explanation. (And if there is one I don’t know it)
Here’s my take:
White is often a color associated with reflection, purity, light, cleanliness and even hope.
Knowing her next re-release is 1989 (and that karlie originally was the first person to listen to 1989) I have a feeling that they’re referencing being CLEAN. Reflecting on the pairs past relationship and falling out.
This song is incredible! My take is that it’s about recovering from losing someone close to you, whether that’s a partner or not. Longing for the feelings they once gave you and how addicting and tantalizing it was:
“10 months sober I must admit, Just because you’re clean don’t mean you don’t miss it.”
For me this combination of emojis briefly captures the idea of a relationship that has come back together after a drought. Potentially this reunion (not only at the tour) could mean there will be some kind of part the Karlie will play in a Cruel Summer music video!!!
As many of us gaylors know—Cruel summer bears a striking resemblance to the storyline and imagry of their time in NYC: sneaking in through garden gates every night to seal their fates.
Do you think there will be a cruel summer video?
Turn of events! Not only did Dusty Springfield sing that song ‘You Don’t Own Me’ but so did lesbian singer Leslie Gore!
The whole Dusty Springfield x Taylor Swift theory goes so crazy and is SOOO interesting to me! I firmly believe we emulate, respect, and draw inspiration from artists we can relate to or feel represent our most cherished ideals.
It’s obvious that Taylor is aware of Dusty as [her] music has appeared during the eras tour prior / during the countdown.
It’s no coincidence that Dusty Springfield just so happens to have come out as Bisexual and been known for that moment in her life.
It is odd to me that Taylor’s current artwork and album work STRONGLY resembles the color schemes and aesthetics of Dusty’s past work.
Moreover, in a strange crossover episode Taylor Jenkins Reid (Author of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo) has mentioned the bisexual artist (Dusty Springfield) in her novel Daisy Jones and the Six.
It’s such a stretch but at the same time I swear to god she knows something we don’t and has stated that Evelyn Hugo could absolutely be Taylor Swift (as well as used Taylor’s lyrics as a muse for her writing.)
I honestly believe Taylor Swift has either read Taylor Jenkin Reids books OR directly inspired or co-written these stories (as TJR has an anonymous patron noted for Seven Husbands).
Idk…I don’t think any of these crossovers or similarities are just by chance. There’s plenty more visuals and information to support this fan theory but I don’t have time to pick through all of it.
I really believe that Taylor Swifts album 1989 (TV) is going to be her most freeing release yet, showing us her true colors regardless of solidified statements or coming out. The girlies who get it, get it, and the girlies that don’t, dont.
What else have you seen relating to this theory? Reblog and add your ideas!!!
Still not over Taylor Swift saying that the LGBTQIA is something that represents her in ME! on Miss Americana.
There’s literally no other way to interpret that. Not a single straight person has said that ever.
