WIP of a Radiostatic fan kid named Fin (They/Them)

They’re a swamp loving electric shark of a kid who looks a lot like Vox did as a human child, but has Alastor’s appetites and a deep interest in researching the magics of hell. Currently, Alastor and Vox are not on speaking terms and Alastor is forced to expose his secret child by bringing them to the hotel.

Fin loves swimming in the waters of Alastor’s swamp and wrestling gators with their bare teeth and claws. They also love both their parents deeply, but something is keeping Alastor from connecting as much as they want, and Vox either can’t, or won’t find a way to reach out…

So, they grow close to the hotel crew, and also a little spirit they seemed to have accidentally summoned while trying to cast a hellish spell. The spirit seems very invested in their happiness and safety…

This is going to be the strangest request, but are there any books that give any insight into ports, port life, and port jobs? Would like them from any time period, any place. In fact, the more diverse views of the goings on in ports the better. I also have a love of biplanes and seaplanes, and if there are any stories that involve details of planes or their workings I'd be interested in that too. The characters and story I'm flexible with, fiction or not too, but the story must have both or one of these things.
