i watched that part and audibly sighed with disappointment. there were so many ways they could’ve done that better. literally almost anything would’ve been better.

That whole thing with Matt feeling the painting and knowing it was Heather was just weird.

When we first saw all the drawings of Heather I gasped because I thought he wouldn't be able to tell what they were drawings of so even though the warning was right there in his hands Matt wouldn't know Heather was in danger. It felt like in horror movies where the killer is revealed to the audience but not the characters and we can only watch from the edge of our seats as the protagonists piece things together. That would have been so much better.

But no, he ran his fingers over the sketches and somehow knew it was Heather? Even if the paintings were textured, that's not how paint works. I don't know a lot about being blind, but even if Matt could tell the sketches were a face just by feeling the brushstrokes, I don't think Matt could've realized it was Heather's face specifically.

If Muse had made like. A sculpture of Heather. That would've made sense. But his other art seems pretty stylized, so even that might have been a stretch.

i love the idea of the writers being like “mwahaha then the viewers will think FRANK killed Hector” and then literally not one single person watching believes it was actually frank for a single second.

Linking music with content is my absolute favorite thing to do. I did it with aftg, and also for trc with this post (muse!!) and obviously the animatic, which happens to have turned 1 year old very recently (happy birthday).

Anyway, I'll do a trc reread soon, last time was two years ago (!!), i've read extracts since but it won't do for much longer.
