Bowynn Gods: The Kii

Bowynn Gods: The Kii

Kii  (Ky)  Kii are protective spirits of nature, home, work, the arts and various places. There are many types of Kii, large and minuscule and they all preside over different areas of nature. But all Kii are of good persuasion. And their appearance varies greatly. The three common type of Kii often seen and talked about are the small ones, which are described as no bigger than someone’s hands and have bird wings. There is a second type of small Kii that do not have wings. The third type are human size and have no wings.  And then there is the large type, which can be as big as trees and mountains. Some are humanoid in shape, some monstrous. The Bolquinn/Solquinn are big hair forest dwelling beasts.

The Kii were the creation of Brand and his siblings Kord and Brenda. They were created to guard and protect people and places during the destruction and seductive reign of Mano, who was starting to play nasty tricks on the gods. After Mano was destroyed, his minions the Tii were still causing havock, so Kord dictated the Kii were to remain, watching over the earth and its people.

Kii, like the gods, try not to interfere in human lives. Some try to avoid mortals at all cost. While some may protect the home or other such places, they do not get involved in mortal activity. One does not summon a Kii, as it is considered rude and can lead to mishaps. But if asked politely, a Kii may help. The Kii are not immortal but they do have a long lifespan. Some have been said to like about 200-300 years. No sacred story exists that mentions an individual Kii's name.

Here is a list of some of the different types of Kii, some of which include:  Golderay (lightning, electricity and storms) Morrqua (stars, sleep, dreams and night) Sanna (waters) Chappa (mountain) Suni (wind and clouds) Maukol (harvest, wheat and grain) Gorto (forge) Jakk (domestic fire and flame) Heather (flowers and gardens) Aetin (cemeteries) Hii (magickal arts) Laukel (trees and woodlands) Tayo (houses, hearth, children) Solquinn (Forests)

The Hii, Abonna and Kobbatti are often considered not Kii but instead as gods, even if they do not have individual names. Some folk do not consider the divisions of the Kii and just speak of them just as “The Kii.”

BOWYNN GODS: SHELI

Sheli  (Shel-Lee)  Sheli is the Mammont [Mammoth] goddess of the plains, bravery, long courageous trips and expeditions and she is the patroness of hunters and bravery. Sheli is very much one of the more revered gods during the celebration of the Great Migration.

Sheli did not play much of a role in the pantheon for a long time. For the most part she was looked at as the matriarch of the wandering tribes of mammoths, protecting them from dangers of hunters and predators. But it came to pass that the 13 great tribes crossed the Bosphorus into Europe utterly starved. While they had the protection and lead of the goddess Briathenaea, the people’s food stock was all but depleted. Brianthenaea asked Sheli for help. The goddess directed random herds of mammoths towards the tribes to be hunted. Thus, the tribes were saved again by divine intervention. It was at that point that the people revered Sheli as a goddess of travel and the guardians of plains and valleys where mammoths dwelt. In turn Sheli devoted herself a goddess of the hunt and protectors of hunters.

One of the great scared tales speak of the time when Sheli had issued a great warning to all the hunters of the tribes never to kill more than they needed. Especially when it came to the mammoths, for they were the guardians of the plains. Sadly, there came a point where her warning was forgotten and sure enough the mammoths were all but hunted off by greedy hunters. That’s when the great starvation of the tribes came. Sheli shunned the hunters and set them to survive on their own. It was the god Herne who prevented the starvation of mortals by sacrificing himself. Sheli saw that the people were grateful, and they brought her great gifts to repent. Sheli broke down and forgave the mortals and vowed to continue to guard and guide their hunts.

Sheli is seen in tow forms. The first being a mammoth and the second in her immortal true form; that is a woman of years, with reddish and grey hair, clad in travelling clothes lined in fur and a fir cap. Scared to Sheli are votive images of mammoths and elephants, hunting weapons and all sorts of foods. Bundles of grain are offered to her in autumn as a special tribute.

My Personal Prayer to Aetenn

O Aetenn, Ram-Crowned God, protector of arms and armor, I invoke your sacred presence as I stand before you with a humble heart. In the woodlands of Alaway, where the echoes of drums resonate, I seek your divine vigilance over that which I hold dear. Hear me, O Aetenn, son of Anhur and Rhya, guardian of warriors who tread the path of honor. I call upon your spirit, adorned with ram horns and the protective thorns of the black berry wreath. May your strength shield me as I navigate the challenges that lie ahead, that I may face them with the courage you impart. I lay before you the symbols of my devotion—swords and shields, crafted by the hands of mortals, and drums that carry the rhythm of my heart. Accept these offerings, O great Aetenn, as I seek your blessing upon my arms and the gear that I cherish. Let the resounding beat of your drums echo my intent to honor and protect all that I prize.

Grant me, Aetenn, your vigilance over my possessions, especially those that are most precious to me. As you guard the soldiers before battle, let your protection extend to my heart’s desires, ensuring they remain safe from harm. May your watchful eye preserve the integrity of what I cherish, standing steadfast through trials and tribulations. In gratitude, I celebrate your spirit, O Aetenn, the drumming god whose rhythms unite our souls. As your drums once communicated across campfires, may my prayers rise like the beat of your sacred drums, melding into the whispers of the forest, proclaiming my trust in your divine care. O Ram-Crowned God, I honor you with these words, pledging my loyalty and reverence. May your spirit protect me as I venture forth and may the arms and armor I wield bear the strength of your guardianship. Let my path be illuminated by your wisdom, as I carry your essence in my heart and in my actions. So shall it be, as the echoes of your drums resound throughout the realms of the living.

BOWYNN GODS: TYR

BOWYNN GODS: TYR

Tyr  (Teer)  God of protection, soldiers and war. He is the son of Anhur and Rhya. Many think of Tyr as a match to the gods Mars, Ares and the German god Tyr. But the Bowynn god is not an instagator of war. Nor is he wild and unruly. Tyr is a god that protects against war, protections soldiers from death and a defender. Tyr is a god that is the patron of soldiers and a god of general protection from harm. There is nothing to fear about Tyr.

Tyr is one of the gods of the Bowynn faith that has endless sacred tales. Not by the wars he wages by by the lives he saves. His first major tale, speaks of he and his sister Briathenaea protection the first tribes of people as they migrated from the south. With arms raised the two siblings protected the tribes from the burning sun with the shields. In the many tales of wars and battles, Tyr was the god out front to guard his people from death and injury. Tyr is also the god people pray to bring skirmishes to an end fast. At the same time, Tyr is a god that will seek retribution to anyone that wages war. Most of the sacred tales of Tyr coincide with the theme of his guarding Bowynn soldiers in times of war, but Tyr has also been a judge on godly contests and tales of love. The most famed of Tyr’s love stories is for his love of the young female Kii, Quallin. She was a most beautiful Kii but her heart was originally for another male Kii. Tyr fell madly in love with Quallin almost instantly. And she fell for his charm and strength. But when Tyr found her kissing a handsome male Kii named Baul, Tyr went in to such a rage and Tyr blindly slew Baul. The murder was seen by other Kii who quickly delivered to word to Anhur himself. Summoning Tyr to Alaway, the gods cast judgment on Tyr’s act and Anhur sentences his son to 25 years of service to Chumash in Daunnat. In that time Tyr fell into great despair, thinking in that time Quallin would forget him. But when Tyr’s term of servitude was over, he found Quanill waiting for him on the shore’s of Evermore. The two returned to Alaway where they were wed and Quanill was granted immortality.

Tyr is seen as a strong god with long raven black hair and sporting a slight beard. His clothes vary from a black doublet to being fully armored. Whichever he is seen wearing, he still bears a sword or spear and a shield. In times of need Tyr will appear as a great magnificent dog. Sacred gifts to Tyr come in the form of mostly votive images of weapons, shields, helms, and images of dogs.

Can you make a spell for "become tour desired magical girl" or place a wish of "I want to become a toyko mew mew " on ur altar? Thanks!

I am oblivious as to what a "..tour desired magical girl" If you are asking about becoming a witch, no spell can do that. Like many things in real life, to be a witch takes years of study, work, physical and mental training and focus.

As to the Mew Mew, I am sorry real magic does not work that way. What you are asking for only exists in the realms of cartoons, movies and roleplaying games.

I am sorry I cannot help you. I am sorry.

QUESTION AND ANSWER: Folkish

QUESTION: Just wondering, how do you feel about people who claim to be "folkish Pagan?"

ANSWER: I had to do some research on this term "folkish" to answer it. I was disgruntled and disgusted to learn what the term means. But at the same time, I am not shocked, as I have heard of some demented Pagans with his sort of dark mind set.

Aside from it being racist, evil and a dark cult ideology, it is not even based on anything history to the Norse people of old. Just using a bunch of Neo Pagan wanna-bes that never studied their own culture and ancient gods, to dictate and control other people. Gee, where have I seen that kind of faith before?? Hmmmm.

I think that should sums up my answer.

BOWYNN GODS: TYA

BOWYNN GODS: TYA

Tya (right) along with her sisters Brea and a priestess

Tya  (Ty-ah)  Goddess of the element of Spirit and one of the first gods to come out of Bia’s creation. She is the sister to Brea, Unthar and the others. She is the goddess of the element of spirit, faith, spirituality and the human spirit.

During the creation of Mankind, it was Tya that placed a bit of herself into the first clay figures, giving them each a sense of feeling, hope and purpose. This she also did to all the first animals that were created. This was the only sacred story attributed to Tya and yet she, along with her siblings all holds the highest place of honor in Alaway.

Tya is seen as a rather young woman despite her time of reign. She is depicted and seen in visions with short hair, wearing a rather simple dress and hladd of blue or purple and a circlet on her head. Tya bears no totem animal but claims all are hers. All forms of offerings are sacred to Tya but ultimately candles and incense are the most divine gifts to Tya.

QUESTION & ANSWER: Familiars and Guardians

QUESTION: In your tradition's do your witches use Familiars and Guardians? If so, how are they summoned?

ANSWER: No. Mysts do not have any need nor summon any sort of creatures or spiritual animals. Our belief here is that a true working Myst is on guard and protected at all times. And that there is nothing a mystical creature can provide that we can not handle on our own. We do not believe in the calling of the spirits of the dead. As it is seen as rude, disrespectful and sacrilegious.
