@shyranno gave me the idea from one of their the Bad Batch: Downtime comics that Crosshair might have saved Omega in s1e16 out of love for Hunter, and not because he felt like he owed the kid. Somebody else, I can’t recall who though, convinced me of it with their interpretation of the scene: they said that Crosshair was preparing to stun Hunter to prevent him from trying to rescue the drowning child. He just happened to be able to see her and was able to reach her with his cable.
Anyone who knows anything about water rescue knows you’re not supposed to go in after a drowning person. You’re supposed to throw them a floatation device, especially in deep water. The reason for this is because the excess weight can drag you under as well, and their struggling can prevent you from swimming. Both people more than likely end up drowning.
So I think Crosshair, despite caring enough for Omega to want her safe from the impending fight between himself and his brothers, wasn’t planning on rescuing her from the ocean. It was a coincidence. And this piece came from my desire to see Hunter concede to Crosshair’s point that Omega is in danger as long as she is with the Batch. It might not be as much danger as if they’d left her on Kamino, or with the Lawquaines, but she is still in danger.
It’s also an excuse to indulge in a little Hunter hugging Omega properly, because that’s clearly not gonna happen in cannon anytime soon 😂
Wrecker has also found wormie fren :)
Oma couldn’t keep Peggy calm for her vaccinations, so they called in the big guns. Papa bear König dropped everything to come help, even though he was in the middle of war games with his squads :3
Dialogue Translation
König: shh, sweetheart, it’s alright
Nurse: You’re being such a brave girl, Peggy
Peggy: I don’t- like needles…
König: good German, Peggy
Please be gentle, I don’t actually know any German. I used google translate…
I’m reblogging this because it’s good to look back at where you came from ^_^
Okay, but hear me out…
I offer Alpha 17. That is all.
OP I saw your vision. I hope I’ve lived up to it! I’d love to hear more of this au!! Ghost is an absolutely massive shire boy, and I made Soap a Clydesdale because that breed originated in Scotland, which I did not know. And I made reader an akhal-teke because unicorn legends first originated in the Middle East. If you’ve never seen one of these horses, look it up. They look like irl unicorns!!
Hear me out, my dudes/my gals/my stars
Unicorn!Reader x Shire!Simon x Kelpie!Soap
Reader who’s the prettiest fucking thing Simon has ever seen — eyes shining, the glossiest hair he has ever encountered and he knows that such pretty things are not for the likes of him.
But he can’t help but stop his work, coming closer to the fence — all heavy bulk and rolling muscles, deceptively soft steps as he watches you.
“A bit lost, luv?”, he hums out, licking his cracked lips when you turn to him, his breath stalling because well, fuck him, that’s an actual unicorn. Not just a pretty thing, are you?
You don’t come close, watching him out of the woods, even your skin glowing and god, he can bet his left arm you are soft as a cloud to the touch.
He can bet you will look so so good under him. With him.
Simon tilts his heavy head to the side, huffing out air, splintered lips curling upwards. Skittish. It’s good that you are careful, would want to make it too easy for him, would ya?
And then there’s Soap — unruly power and raw hunger and no fucking manners whatsoever, surfacing out of the lakes and streams, always a little too close for your comfort, always ready to invade your space.
Getting you closer and closer to the water, his carefree demeanour just as deceptive as Simon’s softness.
“Ye wound me, bonnie. Ah never would’ve done anythin’”, he swears when you bristle and step back into safety of the woods, his eyes on you so fucking hungry, his eyes never leaving you.
Soap can smell you a mile away, can feel you coming with a sixth sense, always there whenever you need to drink. Or wash, for that matter.
Soap who can also smell someone else’s scent mingling with yours, brows furrowing. Who’s there trying to take what’s his? Not fair, he was here first, he saw you first, he’s getting you first.
But Simon is bigger and Simon is heavier and Simon is older — glare as heavy as his kick is.
Soap just might be in love.
Might continue later
Oh, this sounds like a fun game! Your friend would find either very little about me, or a terrifying amount. It all depends on where he looks! It’s too bad you consider this a waste of time. I was quite enjoying the conversation. You’re a fascinating person and your work is equally so.
Oh, and by the way, my clearance is all-access, and its need-to-know status is imperative. It’s called curiosity. I imagine you can relate ;)
Out of curiosity, do you have any theories on what it is about being an Imperial that makes you so much more attractive to people? The Rogue Clone Tech doesn’t seem to have half as many thirsty people following him around, but nearly every one of your asks involves something. I suppose it could be that the non-imperial Tech has just as many and doesn’t respond to them all. I don’t know what his ask-box looks like. But you also flirt back far more often, which I suspects helps to fuel it. Any thoughts?
Do you not think any iteration of my exceptional self would attract as many loyal followers? @exceptionally-minded is just as capable of drawing attention, though he chooses to do so by playing do-gooder while frolicking around the galaxy Riot Racing and interfering with Imperial operations.
I am of a different mindset. This mindset also requires the use of a disclaimer on the HoloNet so as to insure nosey younglings below eighteen years of age are not tempted to embrace the dark side before it is permissible. You will find that @imperial-sniper, @imperial-strategist, @imperial-demolition-expert, and @imperial-tracker do the same.
Our differences are what makes us both unique. Perhaps my abundant magnetism and my affinity for what some may consider atrocious or perverse has something to do with it. Human beings are known to have a tendency to be fascinated with that which both frightens and excites them.
But do take a moment to reflect. What seems like flirting to you may very well be the fine art of coercion in practice. Affecting someone's mind without them being aware of it - and filling said person with the supposition that their thoughts and feelings are indeed their own - is a tactic that is easily employed in part because they so desire to be subverted willingly.
Food for thought: It is not I you should be questioning, but those who wish to grovel at my feet.
I find it fascinating, and perhaps a bit frightening, that so many people are attracted to someone who manipulates as openly as you do. I will admit, it’s effective: I have to remind myself every so often that the sort of experience you propose would be fun for it’s novelty, but I’d soon feel stifled by the power imbalance.
Is the psychology of your subjects something you’re supposed to be researching? Or is it accidental to whatever other experiments you are running? Either way, are you publishing the research somewhere? I’d be interested in what you’re learning, and how exactly you made your control group, if you have one.

@stormyblue90 LOOK AT THIS INSANITY.
Your dialogue is still gold, btw 🤣

Discord shenaniganery led to some fun speculation about tbb season 3, and I just had to turn @stormyblue90 s goofy dialogue idea into a comic XD

Drawing all the expressions was an absolute blast! I’ve been spamming the discord WIP channel with them for weeks
Unexpected, but not unwelcome :)
I am much more of a coward than he is, and also significantly more naive, but I would love to have his confidence and trust in experience someday <3
Which Bad Batch Character are you?
Reblog and let me know who you got! No cheating!
(I got Omega 😊)
Echo: I have a headache.
Kix: From 1 to 10, how intense would you describe your pain?
Echo: Fives. It's Fives.
