- Helen is looking after her siblings minus Mark who is living with Kieran and Cristina, and she has this rule for Ty and Dru (Livvy is still dead in this universe)

- No dating until they turn 18

- We are gonna pretend that Ty is 17 and Dru is 15 and Julian is already 19 and out of high school happily dating Emma

- So Dru is pissed because she likes Jaime and wants to date him (we're gonna pretend that he's Dru's age) so after much poking and prodding, Helen finally makes Dru a deal

- She can date as soon as Ty does

- Ty who has zero interest in dating

-Meanwhile Ash wants to date Dru but he finds out about Helen's rule so he has to find someone to ask Ty out

- The problem is Ty can be super prickly and offputting (people's perceptions are mostly rooted in ableism but that's another thing all together)

- So Ash ends up paying local bad boy Kit Herondale to ask Ty out

- And we basically follow the movie plot from there
