my sister needs help.

hey everyone. i’m posting this on behalf of my sister, shannon. she’s in a tight spot and could really use some help.

the situation is explained in more detail on her gofundme, but here’s the short version: in late spring this year, one day after shannon’s graduation, she was s-xua-ly assaulted on campus by a former partner, and it threw a wrecking ball into her life. (pardon the censorship, i don’t want tumblr to bury this post for being “inappropriate.”)

this was someone who had been harassing, emotionally abusing and making unwanted advances on her for months, even after she had broken up with him. she has been struggling with ptsd as a result, and has come to feel too unsafe to stay in the area. this means she has lost her campus job, will no longer have a place in town to live, and doesn’t have the income she needed to pay the university, her rent, her student loans, or her bills.

the good news is that one of our aunts out in california has offered her a place to stay. it’s not a perfectly ideal arrangement, but it will get her away from her abuser and keep a roof over her head. however, she still needs as much help as she can get. she has no job prospects lined up to cover her expenses, has very little savings, and is still working to recover from the trauma she experienced.

any assistance is appreciated, no matter how small, whether that comes as a donation or a signal boost!

It is not the prettiest but here is a little chart I made of skin tones.

The idea is to eye-drop anywhere on the chart to get a unique skin tone instead of getting stuck in the loop of “white, tan, dark”.
