to reiterate the standard position btw ‘Hinduism’ isn’t even real. it’s a term and unity conception that was created and enforced during colonial studies of the subcontinent. there is no consistency amongst it. typically academic postmodernists and opportunist left liberals stop there, and refuse to acknowledge the recent and even then ongoing history: that the term was embraced and employed and so does have a categorical political unity: for the last 300 years
Certainly i am so brain dead rn i think i am gonna fly into the unknown before i die happy
I listen to music with headphones not because J wanna go deaf or be disrespectful, but so I don't have to hear the electricity in the walls and dog whistles and other NOISE that DISTRACTS me and ANNOYS me.
But there's more.
I want to hear every instrument that takes part in the melody. The breaths of the singer. The leitmotifs, every note, has meaning.
Music is a form of art, and I have trouble focusing without it. Even if it seems distracting or extra to you, it actually fuels me.
"copyright is good in theory" did you know that you can digitize books and then have infinite copies so in theory every book, every piece of information ever written and published could be shared across the world basically for free but any attempts to actually do this get shut down by copyright lawyers?
The role of critique in communism is limited and its purpose is to improve the functioning of the Party, by identifying concrete problems and supplying concrete solutions. If your "critique" of the PRC is just moralist whining about their development strategy, and you offer no concrete steps for improvement of the CPC, then you are not forwarding a critique, you're just publishing freelance anticommunist propaganda.
hinduism as it dominantly exists in the world takes the form of an apartheid. no amount of the existence of hindu minorities anywhere can change the fact that we call it the fascist religion for a good reason. it is more apparent in instances like now where hindutva bloodthirst is clearly visible but i need people to know even on a day like every other, this is a religion that continues to spread violence against women, indigenous people, people of different faiths, and among "lesser" hindus. the only way forward is to abolish it. it does not contain the truth of the world and it has no place in the 21st century -- the active decisions of those that have led it in the past and those that lead it now have sealed this fate.
i walk a fine line between “i’m asexual and i hate how much the world revolves around sex” and “sex is way too stigmatized and people should be able to be more open about it if they want to”
