“He bugs me. He’s a wise-ass. But he’s also very funny - and laughs are a great tonic in life - and he’s my favorite musician. I’ve had shows where backstage I’ve hated him. And vice versa. But then we’ll be on stage and the three of us make this sound - me, him and the guitar, and we’re eleven once more, and in love all over again.”

Ok this and the fact that Paul looks at Art and then at the camera when he sings “we might as well be apart” in overs.
My honest reaction to this
“I think my dad and Paul will always be best friends. There is a lot of love. They are in touch. Things are going in a good direction..”
Whilst a reunion/tour seems like wishful thinking at this point (though what do I know..), the “they are in touch” part is very lovely, long overdue news!

White night 🍇
Just like how all of Paul Simon’s songs are about Art Garfunkel and if you think otherwise you’re not thinking hard enough
all my posts are about simon and garfunkel even when they seemingly have nothing to do with simon and garfunkel sometimes yr just not thinking hard enough sbout simon and garfunkel
simon and garfunkel invented the situationship
The way he speaks about him oh my
““Please don’t leave out the word love. I loved this guy Paul Simon, and I loved him when I was 13 when I met him. This love permeates the recording session…You got the love in from Paul and Artie? You got that in? It’s a very deep, entwined friendship. It bewitches me. That’s a key point. It doesn’t sell well, though. It’s not negative, it’s not dirty and you’re not going to sell many papers. It doesn’t take the low road.””
