shout out to heather taffet’s actress for filling me with genuine rage every time her character appears on screen. that’s serious talent, genuinely.

thinking about how people only call temperance brennan “temperance” or “tempie” when they’re trying to manipulate her.

like angela, her best friend and emotional confidant never calls her temperance, no matter how personal things get. and she’s always “bones” to booth, even when he’s terrified for her safety. and when hodgins, one of her oldest friends, is desperate for empathy and appealing to her humanity during the grave digger arc, he never stops calling her “brennan”.

and it’s only ever the men who try to manipulate her—her father, jared booth, or dr. stires, the old professor who tried to publicly humiliate her—that try to appeal to the an intimacy that her given name doesn’t hold

So i transferred to a new school this semester and started using my middle name (Vincent) in classes and no one will ever know one of the reasons i picked it is bc of a silly squintern with lots of trivia facts

i was tired of never seeing any bones memes so i just made a few :)

Maybe this is a weird opinion, but I get genuinely uncomfortable when fans call Brennan “Bones”…. To me, that is a nickname that ONLY Booth is allowed to call her, and it’s cute, but I feel that even fans don’t have the right to call her that. Maybe that’s just me being silly though

It's been a little while since I've made a poll, so I'm going to shake off the dust with a simpler question (although choosing an answer to this one is probably anything but simple for mystery fans.)

This is mostly oriented towards live action mystery/crime TV series, I'll probably do a later poll for animated shows or anime.

sometimes being in the Bones fandom is strange cause youll go online with a 40 yr old centrist who ai generates images of Brennan meeting Sheldon Cooper and a 17 yr old transfemasc whos on their 18th rewatch just so they could get the tempcamgela vibes this time around and all 3 of you will agree that Wells was the worst squintern in the show and that Vincent deserved better
