Jack is a cat person, Davey is a dog person. I'll explain my point below, if you don't want to read a bunch of yaps about newsies, you can stop here 😭
Cats are usually seen as independent, they won't need you, especially street cats, they are skittish and usually attack people they don't know to protect themselves, remember someone? But they are also afraid, and if treated right, they soften, they are sweet, they just need the right treatment, without anyone hitting them or telling them they are bad luck, again, does that ring a bell? But still, they are independent, they learned to be most of the times. Unlike dogs, they are usually unable to be affectionate normally, and when they do, their affection are normally discarded, they give gifts, things that they think are necessary for the owner because he thinks he is a cub, again, someone it needs to protect.
Dogs are different, if someone doesn't give them a purpose or an order, they don't do it, It's not because they can't, it's simply because they're used to receiving orders, to having someone to tell them what to do, they are desperate for someone. They are sometimes seen as very dependent, very clingy to their owners, but they can also be aggressive if trained outside of them, but they usually are not, They are protective, just like cats, of what is theirs, but again, they need to be trained or forced to learn to defend what is theirs, because they are docile, it is not in their nature to attack.
Does that make sense?
Have a little strawberry cat to make up for my constant yaps
