“Yearning” always takes me to “saudade”. I argue that it is one of the many words that are contained in “saudade” far beyond “I miss you”. In Portuguese, it is a word that lacks definition, but is full of feeling. In this emotional amalgam that unites time, ignites the past, dilutes the present, adds, but also removes pain - all at the same instant, there is also the melancholy of incompleteness, linked by the memory of the deprivation of the presence or the distance of someone one desires. “Yearning” related to Nesta and Cassian takes me to the “saudade” that they both feel in Acofas, and the suffering of wanting, but not being able or allowing themselves to have, seeking that, in the liberation from the pain of this felt absence, what one loves may be present.

I’m still to this day confused as to why SJM wanted me to believe that Feyre was a frail little woman.

Even if she was starving, she regularly HUNTED with a MEDIEVAL BOW!!! Something you need a lot of muscle to use effectively, so either she was too weak to use it or she wasn’t- aka she had the muscle required. Seriously medieval archers were jacked, even those who use short bows.

I know, I know. It’s ya and there’s a huge taboo at central female characters being anything more than the “ideal body” 🙄🙄
