Ace rings and Aro rings. What are they?
An ace ring is a black ring, usually worn on the middle finger of the right hand, that indicates you are on the asexual spectrum. An aro ring is the basically the same thing just white and worn on your left hand on the middle finger. Placement is important since other communities us rings to identify themselves. Many people on the spectrum don’t know about the rings, so it is often times a more personal symbol. It’s just a really neat way to embrace your ace-ness and/or aro-ness.
Some people go with plain black and plain white., but others like their rings with a little bit more to them. Some people might go out even further and get rings that are dragon-like. I will explain the meaning of dragons in the ace community in a later post. There are even rings out there with the ace of spades (and other suits) which the meaning of that is explained in one of my previous posts. There are also cool rings out there that are less subtle that have the aro flag colors, ace flag, colors, and the sunset aroace flag. Overall, just the normal ace ring, a black ring with embellishments, and any other ace symbols are used by people! People have all sorts of different rings that fit within the aro/ace ring vibe.
Feel free to reblog and get this info out there! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
**URGENT: PLEASE READ/SIGNAL BOOST**
Monday, May 15th: Hello everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman in desperate need of help, as I'm still struggling to pay my rent which is two weeks overdue.
As most of you are already aware from my previous posts, I have been struggling financially these past few years due to Covid-19 and my welfare benefit (Universal Credit) being under continuous reviews, which is due to my worsening mental/physical health and the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And after a lengthy health assessment, I have been declared not to be fit for work, however, I am still waiting for the outcome of my Adult Disability application, which I applied for back in January.
To be quite honest, these past few months have been absolute hell for me, and with no other income, I've been relying on the kindness of others to get by. However, due to my outstanding debt, my benefit last month was taken and I wasn't able to pay my rent or utilities, and the funds that I received to pay off everything were recently taken by more overdue bills and fees. (I missed a council tax payment and was charged for the full years amount.)
If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much. Thank you so much for all your help!! ❤

I got desperate enough to deadname myself so that anyone’s Christian relatives will be willing to help.
For those of you who don’t know me well, hi. I’m styx, a disabled transmasculine person trying to get away from an abusive family and shitty home situation to somewhere I’ll be safe.
I’m not gonna share all my shit here because this is the internet, but I’m trying to raise money to move out and afford my medication.
I can’t work because of my disability and I am also selling tarot readings for fifteen dollars. I will link also my c*sh*pp; dm me for details or business inquiries.
Anything helps, blessed be.
LGBTQIA+ rights in Australia still have a long way to go. Conversion therapy for example is still legal in most places in Australia. Victoria and the ACT have banned it for anyone to do, but Queensland has only banned it for healthcare providers - meaning religious organisations and groups can still legally continue this abusive and harmful practice. That needs to be changed.
Every other state and territory has yet to act.
SO LET'S TAKE SOME ACTION!
Find and support LGBTQIA+ advocacy groups, like Equality Australia, and use their resources to understand what's happening and what needs to change.
Email your representatives both on a state and federal level. Demand action. Also email the Ministers for Health, the PM/Premier/Chief Minister, and anyone else you think is relevant. Demand change. Make them aware that this is an important issue and it could lose them votes if they don't act.
Spread awareness! Talk to people directly to tell them to do the same, make social media posts telling people why this matters and what to do, and get the message out through various means like TikTok, youtube, instagram, etc. This must be a collective effort and the only way to do that is to make sure many people know and care. If you see one TikTok about emailing MPs then you might think about it, but if you see two or three about the same issue then it starts to really reach people and encourages them to do the same.
Organise with your friends to learn more and help each other. Unsure how to write an email to MPs? Work together to draft templates and share them around. Unsure how to approach others about how to talk about this issue? Chat with friends about how to go about introducing this topic in conversation. Want to know more? Share articles together to keep each other up to date and informed.
Repeat, repeat, repeat! Sustained effort is key. This might be as simple as setting a calendar reminder to yourself to send a follow up email in month's time, and then another month's time, etc. You haven't forgotten. The law hasn't changed - so don't let MPs forget either. This is a cruel injustice that must be fixed and it's up to our elected MPs to learn that fixing it should be a priority. Follow up with people after a month or two. Have they emailed MPs? Is it time to make a new video/post? Are there any new petitions to sign?
Together, we can build pressure and work together to bring this to the forefront of MPs' minds.
We're going to get this fucking fixed.
it's cold and we can't afford the ÂŁ10 a day for heating or the new, increased price of the dry cat food we buy. we also need to make up the rest of our rent again (like ÂŁ110 lmfao)
hey if you're a UK resident can you sign this petition and if not please rb to spread the word
this is an official UK government petition that they have to respond to if it reaches 10,000 signatures
The Campaign for Southern Equality, in partnership with state and local organizations, is providing rapid response support to the families of youth who are impacted by anti-transgender healthcare bans that are passing across the South. We are providing grants, navigation support, and resources to impacted families as they ensure their children can access the care they need and deserve. We are currently providing support to impacted families in Mississippi, Tennessee and South Carolina, and we are preparing to work in other states.
Please join us by donating.
We are honored to work on this project in partnership with The TRANS Program, Mississippi Rising, Inclusion TN, and OUT Memphis.
(ID: text reads "Donate to support the Southern Trans Youth Emergency Fund. Fuel our work to provide direct support to trans youth and families impacted by anti-transgender healthcare bans across the south", below this the Campaign for Southern Equality logo and a link to the fund on their website.)
Lola is a black trans person in Nigeria who has once again been thrown out of their semi-stable housing without explanation (the reason undeniably being transphobia).
Lola has been having difficulties securing stable housing for months now. The last shelters she was in kicked her out after she tried to report transphobia.
