immensely inspired by @potato-lord-but-not because of these silly little podcast men... they helped me bake the strawberry muffins from the ask that @sleepinbird sent :3

King in Yellow
Just a guy with a dagger and an entity in his head vs an eldritch god. Who will win?
I’ve been binging Malevolent podcast, this is inspired by episode 20
john & arthur + “love”
real
Welp.
(My only hope for S5 is an evil unicorn. I want one so bad please Harlan I don’t ask for much please give us a unicorn please please PLEASE)
i giggled at this i NEED possesive arthjr pls pls pls harlan
I want possessive arthur so bad. I want team jarthur to find the cult that worships hastur and they immediately go "oh, my king, we must find you a proper vessel" and before John can even get out a huff arthur snaps "fuck off! he's not your king, he is my undefeated! your half of a god couldn't pry him away from me, you will not either"
rip arthur lester you would have loved pretending not to notice the grindr notif sound in public
my headcannon is that owlexander can see john, and just won’t leave him alone
STOP DOING THIS TO ME AHDHGSGHH
I can't stop thinking about Arthur begging Kayne to bring John back to him in Coda, and yet when he meets Yellow in season 3, he pretty much immediately says he hates him and everything he represents. Arthur cannot stop comparing Yellow to John, and in doing so he alienates the very voice he was so desperate to have back in his head. John is put on a pedestal while Yellow is left in the dirt. Yellow couldn't even choose a name for himself like John did.
"You're not John. You're just Yellow."
Arthur is impatient and mourning, and Yellow never had a chance. Arthur was ready to die for John, but he couldn't handle grieving him.
Squinted at part 48's transcripts and came up with this layout of the castle:
It's super not to scale, and if there are any mistakes (very likely) I am sorry! There's also things like the order of the other 3 chambers and the kitchen/library layout that were not mentioned in the episode.
Read more has my jumble of clues found so far 🔍
## Friar
- Arthur saw him enter his chamber
- claims to have been asleep the entire time, woken up by the commotion
- still wearing his elaborately tied shoes
- Gerard says he saw the Friar leave the chamber at some point
## Barnabus
- went to the study with Evrard
- was not with Evrard when Langward died
- both he and Evrard found Gerard outside the hall to the chapel looking nervous
## Evrard
- did not reveal that Barnabus was not with him when Gerard died until the very end of the episode
- (does Not Care)
## Gerard
- followed Langward into the Chapel due to them both being part of the Order of the Fallen Star
- carrying a ring from the Order
- After speaking to Langward, left to wait at the end of the chamber hallway until both Arthur and the Friar had entered their rooms. This is when he saw the Friar leave again.
## Langward
- throat was sliced from the back on the chapel steps
- part of the Order of the Fallen Star
- missing his ring from the Order
