All three of these pictures were taken on the same walk. The weather has been crazy lately. It is so cold for August.
Today was a really nice day! Managed to get quite a few things done while keeping a nice balance of productivity and me-time.
Positive things I did today:
kept the duolingo Spanish streak going
got groceries
picked up something from my Prof's office
found more possible secondary sources for my essay
cooked a warm meal
went on a walk
Hours slept: ~7hrs 30mins Screentime: 5hrs Steps taken: ~11.300

The essay is done! I handed it in Thursday night and while it for sure wasn't my best work (the first 5 pages were alright, then it went downhill a lot) I am glad to have it off my desk. I don't care too mugh about the grade either, or at least I'm trying not to. It's for a module in which I already have one very good grade and the Hamilton grade will just be added on. So even if I don't do well, the final module grade should turn out alright.
Taking my meds again also helped getting being sick back in check. I'm not feeling great yet, but we are getting there! Nothing comparable to two days ago.
On Friday I didn't do much. I played Sims (got the new Sims 4 Growing Together expansion, which I really enjoy) and spent some time with family. I'll be taking the weekend off and get back to studying on Monday!
I also got the worst haircut I've had in years. I was really bummed about it, but I'm hoping it'll grow on me with time.
Positive things I did these past days:
finished the Hamilton essay
spent time with family
got a haircut
rested
Hours slept: ~7hrs 45mins & ~7hrs Screentime: ~3hrs 15mins & ~7hrs Steps taken: ~600 & ~1.200
I love how Dead poets society perfectly presented how kids who don't receive enough validation that they crave from their parents often seek validation on teachers who act like parental figures to them instead. You know that thing where people would say that kids with mother issues often cling to female teachers while those with father issues on the other half often cling to male teachers? ── Neil's father issues explains why he was so drawn to Mr. Keating. He's fond of him very much because Mr. Keating treated him with warmth unlike his father who treated him with such sternness and coldness. Mr. Keating acted like the father figure that he needed.

Managed to have a really, really good Sunday!
It was a nice combination of productivity and leasure. Went out to get coffee with a friend in the afternoon and managed to get some work for my essay done. Very, very minor things, but I managed to come up with a working thesis for now. More research will show if I can use it.
We also found these Sailor Moon sodas! Our little weeb heart jumped at that.
My friend also introduced me to notion. I'm still a bit overwhelmed by it but managed to set up one page and it's a lot of fun! Maybe I'll show it off once I have more to show
Positive things I did today:
kept the duolingo Spanish streak going
went out for coffee with a friend
made progress on essay research
cooked a warm meal
set up a notion page
Hours slept: ~9hrs 30mins Screentime: 4hrs 30mins Steps taken: ~4.100
I think i need to just lay under the stars.
learning from the reblogs of that post that there's a lot of people out there under the impression that "kill your darlings" means "kill your characters" and that's the funniest possible interpretation of that phrase

Super late update because things have been a bit hectic :/
Had a good day but pretty much only did chores again. It is what it is. This is all about balance after all. Sadly let the Duolingo streak die after 20 days, tho >:(
Positive things I did today:
went for a walk
got errands done
continued reading All Quiet on the Western Front
cooked and meal-prepped
played some minecraft with a friend
Hours slept: ~9hrs
Screentime: 3hrs 30mins
Steps taken: ~5.800
Found this super pretty Picrew!
I thought some of you might like it 🤎🍷🥀
Aurora's concert in Madrid was amazing!!! Seeing her live has changed my life. Listening to her powerful and lovely voice, seeing her making eye contact with me... I'm just grateful to be alive
