I always thought that the Gravity Falls fandom was a brilliant and awesome fandom; full of genius people who work together to make amazing AUs and figure out the secrets of Gravity Falls. Unfortunately, today, I think I was proved wrong. I, myself, enjoy just about any ship. I will happily read most pairings, and don't mind at all when the writers sway more towards a ship in each episode. I could be rooting for Billdip one second, and happily wander over to read a Dipcifica fanfiction right after. I will support Mabifica, or even Wendip. I greatly enjoy the dynamics of just about any pairing. SO when I saw the newest episode, I was pleased to see the beginning and end of Candip. It was a perfect portrayal of 12 year old children; crushes that come and go faster than the speed of light. It was good character development for both Candy and Dipper, and their friendship is closer because of it.  However, this morning I decided to have a poke around the Dipcifica tag, and I was shocked to see the amount of hate being thrown around. People hating on Candy because she developed a CRUSH?? I'm sorry, but how is that unrealistic? Or a threat to your ships? It was a short plot point that was meant to show how Dipper is more understanding of other human beings, and that he is more comfortable around girls. There wasn't a single mention of Dipcifica being destroyed, nor that there is even any Dipcifica. I'll admit that ship is probably the closest to canon right now, but Alex could just as easily turn around and toss Pacifica with Mabel. WE DON'T KNOW! So everyone just needs to relax and stop hating on each other's ships; Alex will be the decider, and he'll make the right choice. He may break some hearts and sink some ships, but that's the story of fandom life.

Okay so one thing I get really frustrated with in post-canon FMA fanfics is how Winry always gets portrayed as frustrated, or even downright hating the fact that Ed is very much a wandering soul. Disregard the fact that her last line in FMA:B is literally along the lines of "men who stay still are boring". Disregard that Winry always supported Ed and Al's decisions to travel because she knew how much they needed to get distance, and later supported it because she knew that they just wanted to see the world. Disregard Winry instantly jumping on the chance to travel whenever offered, including yearly travelling to Rush Valley and a clear enjoyment of her trip north before everything went to shit. Just know that Winry, seven months pregnant and struggling to get around, just starts shoving shit into suitcases cause there was a skirmish to the west that resulted in plenty of casualties, including amputees, and fuck if they don't need the greatest automail mechanic there to help them out. Es gets a few words of protest in before unceremoniously getting thrown into the train, Winry eagerly jumping in behind him cause she's needed elsewhere and nothing will slow her down, not even pregnancy. Down the line, family trips are common. Only they aren't trips into Central like most country folk take. No. The Elric-Rockbells are wanders at heart, and the people on the railroads know each of their faces intimately due to their yearly trips to Xing, and their constant roaming across the country offering automail and handyman services. They miss home on the road, but wouldn't give up on seeing the world for anything.

That would be a hella interesting concept. The thing is that there's no one left to know her birth name aside from her and Taako since their home world is kind of destroyed. There's literally no one left to know her original name unless she told the red robe crew, but with her and Taako's secretive nature that seems unlikely until later in the story when they're all close and comfortable with one another.

It would be an interesting concept if Lup was a little relieved when their world was destroyed as there was no one to remind her of who she once was. The crew seems like they're going to become like a family, so I bet there was no more reminders of her birth as a male, and therefore Lup can happily live out the rest of her life as a girl elf unquestioned by anyone.

With all the amazing hype about Lup being trans (bless you Griffin), I’ve seen a few people question what Lup’s birth name was prior to her transition.

The only way I want to ever know that information is through a scene where Lup and Taako grab every offending piece of evidence with her old name on it, any other objects that tied her to her unfortunate birth as a male that makes her uncomfortable, as well as a giant sign with her old name on it and just set it all ablaze.

Like the only way I wanna know about the name Lup left behind when she truly became who she was is in a giant bonfire as the twins dance around shouting her true name and setting off magic missiles that spell out her name in giant glittering letters in the night sky.

That is all I want out of that scenario.

In wake of (SPOILERS!!) galra!Keith being a real thing, and the incredibly nice non-racist attitude Keith promotes towards galra because of it, I'd like to propose some hcs of activist galra Keith. Despite the half comedic and half angsty tone of Keith's interactions with the other Paladins and Alteans, he does eventually (with patience Keith never knew he had) wear the other Paladins and Alteans down to a less racist outlook. They don't just accept Keith but also accept other galra can be good. Galra prisoners of Voltron learn that they can be treated fairly in their presence, but they don't take it for granted or use it to help themselves as they realise how much that red paladin is fighting for them. They learn to respect the red paladin for his strength and fairness, as well as the other Paladins for showing mercy when they hadn't needed to. Cue prisoners becoming more sympathetic towards Voltron, and eventually swearing themselves to the new red Voltron leader. The word spreads and people learn that not all galra are bad from the mouth of the galra's sworn enemies, and this change in outlook begins to sway reluctant members of the galra empire to voltron's favour as they realise they have someone to turn to in order to escape the horrors of others of their race. Basically in S3 I wanna see Zarkon not only fighting physically with Voltron, but also members of his own race who stand against him, swayed by the powerful and fair presence of the red paladin.

Sophomore year ep 6 ends so terribly and it was absolutely NOT something Brennan planned AT ALL. Like he was so excited to introduce his new character Garty, made specifically to make the chat go horny wild god bless that genius creator I salute him, and he wanted that episode to explore this new character and his place in leviathan.

Then Fabian’s SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE HUBRIS EVENTS went down and that all got yeeted out the window.

By the end Brennan was like please, please for the love of YES? take this mysterious Aguefort character and just chill the fuck out. You destroyed Garty’s chance to be the Cool Guy and main attraction of the episode so I’ll give u Ayda and a second chance. Please treat my daughter right
