A goofy love song sung by Sarah Stiles and no one thought of Spinel? Come on! Anyway, I discovered this song when wanting to look for songs that Sarah Stiles sang, and I came upon this one, which is a cover of a very old song from the 40s! (sang mostly by the voice of Betty Boop and by Henry Hall, but there are tons of versions…)

I’m not an expert and there is almost no info about this song, sorry…but it’s cute, Sarah Stiles sang it, it’s a love song, I love spinearl, so BAM. IT WAS INEVITABLE!! I

here’s a design concept of the Bezel Pearl AU where Pink Pearl, after learning everything from her mind control, to her cracked eye + Pink Diamond’s fate, she snapped and poofed from stress much like Spinel after her abandonment and the Crystal Gems post-Rose’s death.

her gem rotated to show her bezel, the cracks from her eye now reach her shoulders and hands and her clothes are a bit different with some darker shades

she’s basically a neutral character by this point, roaming the halls of the palace like a ghost, her colors are a bit faint now and her kind and gentle personality is replaced by an eerie vacant expression.

tell me what you think of this little AU so far! this is just a what if scenario so yeah

Spinel ate doughnuts in the movie, so she knows how good they taste.

Headcanon: Spinel starts promoting Doughnuts to Homeworld. Even the Diamonds try them, then Doughnuts become immensely popular. Being a doughnut maker is considered a prestigious position. 

Maybe the Big Donut franchises into outer space. Staffed by Gems.

Spinearl (mostly the Chuck E Cheese AU) headcanon: Spinel (or Pearl) does a “Hey, you wanna get something to eat with me?” as a means to get to know the other better. A sort-of unofficial date. Due to lack of funds to hand, Spinel (or Pearl) can only afford one Doughnut. They split it and still and still have a good time. Laughter and good times over the silliness of it all.

Doughnuts become the icon for their relationship. Some couples will have “our song” they’ll have “our doughnut.”

and here’s the second day’s prompt, since Spinel referred to our Pearl as Pink Diamond’s Pearl, i believe that Pink Pearl was already mind-controlled by White DIamond :(

Spinel always tried to play with her but she would leave immediately after asking where Pink was.

i like to imagine that spinel and pp would do lindy hop/swing dances together! it has a lot of the same techniques as ballet, and it’s from the right period for spinel, plus it’s loose and fun!

my sister noticed this but

when the grass grows back, the first hole from the injector grew back to resemble Spinel’s gem

idk how she noticed it but i felt like this was worth mentioning
