Me, Looking At Shigaraki Who Slowly Goes Insane: He's Just Silly Little Guy Who Does Silly Little Things

Ok but Dragon becoming a micro internet celebrity and gets asked to be on Thrist Tweets (is Buzzfeed run by Big News Morgans in the Modern AU? Much to think about) and he goes because he gets to plug all the important issues he’s fighting for and totally not because as filthy as the comments are they make him a little flattered (also plus he gets to do the puppy interview and he’s not passing that chance up).

“I know Crocodile can fight but can he win??” -“Yes he can, he’s very strong. You shouldn’t be fighting for people anyway.”

- specifically asks post production team to credit him in end as 'dabi' not 'todoroki toya'

- because of scars mostly works for mafia related movies

- once was invited to film an advertising with hawks. agreed only to tease hawks by flirting with him, was not expecting hawks to start flirting back.

- someone put those bloopers on herotube and half of the internet convinced that they are a couple

- really likes it when toga drops by the set just to say hi

- hates that he has to spend the most time out of all actors on set for make-up

shigaraki:

- started to stream just for fun, was not expecting it to become full time job

- if spinner has no fans shigaraki's dead

- has a herotube channel with short animation videos

- finds dabihawks shipping situation hilarious

- had been shipped with dabi after a few streams, but cut this off by coming out as aroace

- makes blind reaction videos with spinner

- invites toga and/or dabi for streams which includes them trying to cook something once in a while

- usually these streams end up in chaos

spinner:

- was streaming for longer time then shigaraki but was less popular

- more known as a bass player for a few rock bands

- almost passed out when shigaraki showed up in chat for the first time

- 'close your eyes bro' 'okay' 'what do you see?' 'nothing' 'that's my world without you, bro' 'bro' – kind of relationship with shigaraki

- tries to bring all of his gaming gear to tours with bands and fails miserably every time

- a few times was hired as a concert photographer and met spinner at the first one

- carries toga's bags at cons and helps her with shopping

magne:

- has been working for huge animation studio but started her own project and quit

- does podcast about queer and quirk discrimination with compress

- once invited shigaraki to discuss 'villainous' quirk discrimination and shigaraki ended up coming out

- actually the one who encouraged toga to apply for auditions for horrors

- met compress through cosplay community

- has been planing to work with shigaraki on some animation project

- runs support center for teens with twice

twice:

- works A LOT with dabi

- started as a cameraman but then dabi suggested to try acting

- toga's number one fan

- voiced a lot of characteres from magne's shows

- was the one who brought up the idea of support center

- always declines magne's invitations for podcast because he convinced that he doesn't experience any oppression

- helps compress and toga to get ready for cons

kurogiri:

- shigaraki's editor and assists compress for photo shoots

- making tiktoks of chaotic cooking streams is his favorite part of his job

- the one who shigaraki calls when accidentally decays controller or other gaming stuff

- thankful to spinner for attending chaotic cooking streams for safety reasons

- his quirk is the reason why compress able to attend so many cons

- goes to every premier of toga, twice or dabi movies

- the one who organizes the league meetings once a month

can I still be a hero?

so i saw some posts about how izuku too easily overcome his quirklessness after receiving ofa, right? mostly people in and under those posts say that it's a shame that we don't see the difficulties of re-thinking his identity and this situation is kinda unrealistic. well i can understand the upsetting feeling of not receiving an interesting point of character's self-discovering and stuff but i have a thing to say about how this thing will make sense (possibly).

so let's make an assumption that quirklessness in the world of bnha is some kind of disability. as far as i know we don't have clear statement in canon but it make sense, right? like if you search the word "disability" you will find something along the lines "the experience of any condition that makes it more difficult for a person to do certain activities or have equitable access within a given society". sooo in REAL world quirklessness isn't a disability because... well non of us here superpower, right? BUT on bnha world quirks are seen as an extension of human being like leg or hand. so it will be logical to assume that person without quirk can't be seen as fully capable as quirked one within society.

let's not bring the paranormal liberation front stuff because it's a topic for different post and I'm already getting far from point of this one.

so izuku is disabled in the beginning of the story, yeah? then why the hell he overcome his disability with a simple snap of fingers and why did it make sense?

now i will be coming from my perspective. I'm disabled and was like this for good chank of my life. and what usually come with it? disability becomes a part of person's identity. not only for people around disabled person but for them too.

now my rambling make even less sense but wait I'm getting to the point.

from interaction between izuku and bakugo + tone of voice of izuku's teacher in aldera we know that deku suffered from bulling BECAUSE of quirklessness. moreover when izuku asked all might can he become a hero, all might didn't ask him about his skills or why he feel a need to be a hero, no. all might just write him off solidly because of izuku's quirklessness and let me be honest: i believe that that wasn't the first time deku was given such "reality check".

can you smell that? oh yeah the good old ✨trauma✨

why did i wrote that i'll view this situation from perspective of my personal experience? well, i was bullied because of my disability back in school and guess what? most of the adults in my life didn't give me a chance to prove myself before they decide that I'm useless.

and that's the main reason why my disability become the thing that I'm activity trying to hide and don't let this abomination become a part of what make me who am i now.

can you see where I'm getting? izuku viewed his quirklessness as a thing that made his life harder and what made other people see him less of a human. so when The Miracle happened izuku just signed with relief and went ahead leaving behind the thing that made him miserable.

the last part of this ungodly long post: why do i believe that izuku doesn't let quirklessness become part of his identity and rather ignored it? well this is the part where i stop pretending that i have some Absolutely Logical Conclusions and become delusional. so we all remember that for the good part of plot izuku keep telling that he's gonna be hero like all might. well make sense because of ofa and all this razzle and dazzle with all might's successor, right? BUT this also can be applied to quirkless izuku. he WANTED and WAS GOING to become hero like all might, and i see it as if he didn't come in terms with his inability to become Just Like All Might. according to this statement izuku was ignoring differences between him and other (quirked) people. this make me believe that deep down he refuse to accept disability as part (or ex-part according to canon events) of himself.

is it healthy? no.

does izuku have a healthy image of himself? probably not.

did i just come up with unshaped pile of thoughts at night before bed and decide to vomit it straight into the internet? yes, i did.

bakugou shows his support by not showing his support

i like the idea of toya and keigo meeting each other when they were kids. i know this hc has WILD angst potential, but i really into imagining them as a couple of weird kids with zero social skills.

hear me out what if toya as a child had obsession with dinosaurs? like he was really into scientific side of it, reading articles, keeping an eye to new theories and stuff.

did you know that bird-like dinosaurs (it's basically the coolest meat-eating animals EVER) are related to modern day birds? so

one day toya met keigo aka a bird kid

keigo, anxiously: hey?

toya: oh my lord

keigo: what? did i do something?

toya: omg dude you'rE BASICALLY A DINOSAUR

toya: NATSUO LOOK THIS GUY IS DINOSAUR THAT'S SO COOL

keigo: ....kay

and a lot of years later dabi comes up with his dramatic ass reveal and all the heroes need to come up with some excuse to smooth the consequences.

and hawk just sits somewhere like: can't believe that the freak who tried to burn me alive is the same guy who called me a dinosaur 15 years ago

i love sleepy, cozy, pliant zoro. zoro blinking sleepily when sanji nudges him awake for some snacktime onigiri. zoro shuffling up behind sanji and pulling him into a hug, blearily nosing into the cook’s slender neck and snuffling his scent, head heavy on his shoulder. zoro rolling over to make room for sanji when he finally joins him for bed, letting sanji loop an arm around him and nuzzle into his sleep-warm back. zoro grunting unhappily as sanji eventually gets up to make breakfast, peppering kisses over his face in apology. sanji laughs as zoro slumps back down into the sheets, already halfway back to sleep, and turns around. but before he can move away, a warm, calloused hand encloses over his wrist and gives him a sluggish tug.

“gmornin’…”

and sanji is so overwhelmed with fondness and warmth, so endeared by his sleepy little mossball. he loves him so much.

“good morning, mosshead. you can go back to sleep.”

Okay but Jimbei is like, an old pirate. Joining the Strawhats is basically his retirement job. He’s like “ugh man I’ve been doing all this political maneuvering for decades it’s so exhausting” and Luffy pops up like “wow lame wanna join my Funtime crew instead? I’ll let you punch whoever you want” and Jimbei’s like yeah. I do want that actually.

I want Luffy shoving an ugly Christmas sweater in Laws face and very politely and definitely not cheating by using puppy eyes asking (demanding) Law wear it

Law complains the whole time he's putting it on, complains while Luffy insists on pictures, complains when they go out, and complains when the straw hats compliment their matching sweaters

But next year he's the one to spot matching ugly Christmas sweaters and buys them on the spot

Luffy lets him pretend it's Luffy who bought them again and lets him complain about it

It's like that every year after

One Piece Academy is an ongoing official One Piece spinoff that releases in Monthly Saikyo Jump. In the magazine, the chapters are roughly 40 pages, but they're divided into two parts and released bimonthly on the official site.

You can find chapters 1-32 translated unofficially in several manga piracy sites [ x or y ]. Raws for 33 onwards can be found here.

Like most spinoffs, the original author isn't involved in its writing. However, it has been confirmed that Oda himself decided the nicknames exchanged between characters (Cora and the SHs) in the donquixote brothers arc.

For latest chapters, check the official site. It removes access to free chapters as new ones add up, so if you like a specific chapter, better keep all pages saved!
