Ok, so I decided that I’ll come out of the closet to my grandparents in summer 2015.
If you think being transgender is all fine reblog this.
I will write down every single one’s url’s to a book who reblogs this till 29.6.2015 and I’ll show it to my grandparents to prove that being transgender isn’t really that bad thing.
Thought they’ve never accepted me as I am but I can still try.
Think this is an awesome idea
http://www.yourholidaymom.com/ is a blog run by a bunch of moms (and sometimes other parents) who will post a letter to you daily until Christmas with words of acceptance and welcome. It was designed specifically as a project for kids and adults who face rejection over the holidays because of their sexuality or gender. This meant a lot to me the first year that I was isolated by my family, and I wanted to share it with all of you.
Artist Creates Impossible Towers Of Balanced Rocks To Meditate
More info: gravityglue.com | Facebook | Vimeo | Twitter
We’re having a hard time deciding whether Michael Grab, [Balance. Art] is an artist or a magician, because he creates stunning structure from finely balanced rocks that seem to defy the law of physics.
These seemingly impossible structures require intense concentration and meditative focus. In the video below, Grab spends several minutes nearly frozen, making tiny adjustments until he gets all of the rocks’ centers of gravity just right.
“Over the past few years of practicing rock balance, simple curiosity has evolved into therapeutic ritual, ultimately nurturing meditative presence, mental well-being, and artistry of design,” writes Grab in his artist statement.

In youth, it was a way I had, To do my best to please. And change, with every passing lad To suit his theories. But now I know the things I know And do the things I do, And if you do not like me so, To hell, my love, with you.

Dominic Wilcox's “future" car is driverless and made Stained-glass
Wilcox created the car, called Stained-glass Driverless Sleeper Car of the Future, as a commission for MINI Frontiers exhibition on the future of mobility, which opened today as part of the London Design Festival.

The designer imagined a future where all cars were controlled by computers that would eliminate collisions and accidents, meaning everyday vehicles would no longer need to be designed for safety.

Cool ghost photography by surrealist photographer Cristopher McKenney.
“Introduced by 17th Century French doctors, this garb was used all over Europe during outbreaks of the plague. One belief was that the disease was spread by birds, and the bird-like masks could draw the plague away from the patient and onto the doctor’s clothes, which in turn protected him from the ‘bad air’.
The beaked mask was made from bronze, its tip filled with medicinal and aromatic herbs to ‘cleanse’ the bad air and cover up the stench of death and the ruptured buboes. The doctor breathed through two small nose holes in the mask and placed garlic in his mouth and incense in his nose and ears. The full-length gown was made out of thick material which was then covered with wax, with leather breeches, gloves and full length boots. Underneath the cloak, the doctor wore an elaborately prepared embroidered smock soaked in exotic preservative liqueurs, camphor oil and wax. Again, the idea was to isolate the doctor’s body from plague-causing bad air. He also wore a wide brimmed leather hat which identified his status and carried a long staff to drive away anyone who came too close and help him communicate with the public as the elaborate headgear made speaking difficult, and the circles of glass or crystal set in the mask to protect the doctor’s eyes impeded their sight.”

Japan’s Natural Light Shows Photographed by Takehito Miyatake
Japanese photographer Takehito Miyatake’s photos of magical firefly trails, glowing squid and awe-inspiring volcanic eruptions has recently won him Grand Prize at the 2014 Nikkei National Geographic Photo Awards. Miyatake’s long-exposure photography, which can last anywhere from 15 seconds to 30 minutes, captures what he describes as the “light of Japan.”
However, as it turns out, Miyatake’s profound reverence for the power of nature is rooted not in photography but in waka, a classical form of Japanese poetry.
1. A long-exposure shot of the Showa crater, the most active volcano in Sakurajima, underneath the stars
2. A flight of hime botaru fireflies light up the forest to create a dreamy, fairytale-like spectacle
3.In spring, firefly squid (hotaru ika) rise 2000 feet to the surface of the water and offer a fleeting glimpse of their magical lights
4.Volcanic lightning during the eruption of the Sakurajima volcano
5.Genji botaru fireflies around a small bridge over the Shimanto River (Kochi Prefecture)
6.The Milky Way glittering above the woods with the green lights of fireflies dancing in the foreground.

Ooohhhh!
I normally don’t do serious giveaways, but I’m going to do this just one time because:
1) It’s Ringo Starr’s Birthday
2) I seriously need to get rid of these
3) There could be people who would really enjoy owning one of these bad boys
So I’m giving away these three wristbands that my mom caught when we went to the Capitol Records building in Los Angeles to celebrate Ringo Starr’s 74th birthday. On one side, it’s got three stars in it (R***), and on the other it says “Peace and Love”. It’s very Ringoesque as you can tell. Ringo threw these white wristbands that my mom caught, as you can see pictured above. Well, my mom got three extra and we don’t know what to do with it so I told her that I’m going to give it away to people on the internet so yeah. Anyway requirements:
You don’t have to follow me, but it’d be nice if you did
Only reblogs will be considered
I don’t care how many times you reblog tbh so reblog away
You gotta have your askbox open
And yeah you gotta be okay with giving your address to me because how the hell will you get this?
I’ll try my best to ship anywhere, so anyone around the world can participate
I’m gonna film myself randomly selecting winners using my ti-84 and fancy random number picking shit I learned from stats so you won’t say that I’m being biased
The giveaway ends next week on July 14, 2014 at 9pm PST
Good luck and please reblog, I’m desperate to get rid of these lmao
many will enter 3 will win
It’s been 49 days since the Connecticut Department of Children and Families imprisoned a sixteen-year-old trans girl of colour without a charge or conviction. She remains in solitary confinement in an adult prison indefinitely. The case is only beginning to receive mainstream national coverage in publications like the Advocate, Salon, and CNN, but more awareness and public outcry is desperately needed in order to free Jane.

Admit it, flavored water is fun. Throw in a bunch of your craziest combinations together or your favorite fruits together and you might never look back!
Better yet, it’s a great activity to do with your kids and the variety of colors in the water may just attract them. Moreover, aside from getting your hydration in, you are also downing the extra vitamins and minerals from the various herbs, veggies and fruits you put in. Do you need any more convincing?
Tips about flavored water:
Fresh vs. frozen fruit. When in season, I prefer to use fresh fruit. However, when fruit is out of season, the fresh version can be tart or flavorless. Because fruit that is to be frozen is picked at the peak of ripeness, it is often the better option for the best flavor, sweetness, and nutrients. I find this to especially to be the case with berries and peaches.
A variety of fresh herbs. Use whatever herbs you like or happen to have on hand. I picked all of these from my herb garden and have tried them in flavored waters. It’s surprising how well they blend with most fruit flavors, and they amp up the refreshing factor of the water. Mint is the most obvious herb choice. I also have tried basil, rosemary, sage, thyme, lavender, and tarragon. All good.
WASH FRUIT THOROUGHLY! The citrus and berries need to be really, really clean to keep contaminants and bacteria out of your flavored water. I recommend organic fruit, if it isn’t going to be peeled.
Use your veggies too. Have leftover carrots or cucumber from cooking? Throw them in!
Recipes #1
Minty Cucumber Lime
1/2 a cucumber, sliced 1/2 a lime, sliced 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
Strawberry-Lemon with Basil
1/2 cup sliced strawberries 1/2 a lemon, sliced 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
Watermelon Mint
1 cup cubed watermelon 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
Pineapple-Orange with Ginger
1/2 cup cubed pineapple 1/2 an orange, sliced 1 tablespoon freshly-grated ginger
What You’ll Need:
1-quart jars
Water
Wooden Spoon
Agave or another sweetener (optional)
What to Do:
Choose which recipe you’re making — or come up with your own combination — and gather all of the ingredients.
Place the fruit, herbs, and/or spices in the bottom of one of the glass jars, and muddle with a wooden spoon. (That basically means mash up the fruit in the bottom of the jar to release some of the flavor-filled juices.)
Fill the jar with water and give it a taste. (You can also fill the jar with seltzer water for a fizzy treat.) If you’d like something a bit sweeter, try adding some agave (and mix until dissolved).
Enjoy as-is or refrigerate overnight for maximum flavor.

When life give you oranges, what do you do? Make orange chicken cauliflowers, of course! I’m a skeptic at heart, and to be honest I wasn’t buying it when I read that roasted cauliflowers tastes like chicken. I mean come on - chicken, really? But I put to rest any doubts regarding that...
