I love the subtlety of faces. This is Miel, a character form Even Keel. He is Kiaci's crazy-paranoid-killer-turned-doting-daddy (while still retaining a fair bit of insanity).

I really liked the concept behind this guy's design but I ditched the armor and wings and made him a bit simpler. I ought to do this more. I had a lot of interesting designs back in high school and now I have the technical skills to make them look decent.

She has wings and she's going to fly.

My cat, every meal time. We have her on a feeding schedule and she knows it by heart. She harasses me until I put food in her bowl. Sometimes she even gets the dog in on it.

This is the quote that has kept me going ever since I started to really struggle with my artwork. An artist I looked up to said these words to me when I asked for help and they have been practically inked into my soul ever since. When I am in doubt, shame, and even feeling helpless about my work… I say these words to myself.

Then I pick up a pen, and I doodle. Because that’s what I need to do.
