Mythical Creatures Series - Abada

ABADA

This is a mythical creature from the Congo similar to a unicorn. It has two horns instead of one and stands about the size of a small donkey. The horns are said to be an antidote to poison.

I'd like to do more of these in the future, as suggested by the title. I have a few creatures in mind but I'm always open to suggestions! The more obscure the better!

I'm concepting for November. Finding the place and atmosphere for the characters.

You ever look back at something you made, and you go through it and it’s almost like seeing it for the time? And it’s just that thing that was exactly what you wanted to see of those characters. And even though you made it yourself, seeing it again makes you giddy. It makes you laugh, or cry, or...

Diu is always fun to draw. He also makes me want to write again, which is always a plus. :D

When I am in doubt, shame, and even feeling helpless about my work… I say these words to myself.

Then I pick up a pen, and I doodle. Because that’s what I need to do.
