In the heart of Gaza, where the echoes of war are a constant reminder of lost lives and shattered dreams, my family and I are fighting a battle for survival. My name is Mohamed, and like countless others here, my life has been turned upside down. The home I once knew, filled with laughter and memories, is now a pile of rubble. My past, present, and dreams for the future have all been crushed by the relentless conflict that surrounds us.
But amidst this chaos and devastation, there is one thing I haven't lost: my family. My parents, siblings, and I have somehow managed to survive the bombings and destruction. But survival is not living. We live each day in fear, wondering if it will be our last. We lack basic necessitiesβfood, water, medicine, and the simple, yet essential, sense of security. Every moment feels like a desperate fight for life.
After our home was targeted and my father was injured
I have started a GoFundMe campaign in the hope of raising funds to support my familyβs immediate needs and, ultimately, to help us escape this cycle of violence and despair. With your generous donations, I hope to provide my family with:
Basic Essentials: Food, clean water, and medical supplies to help us survive day-to-day.
Rebuilding Efforts: Helping us secure temporary shelter and essentials to rebuild our lives.
Evacuation Funds: The most urgent need is to find a safe place away from the constant threat of death and destruction.
Your donation, no matter how small, will not just be a monetary contributionβit will be a lifeline, a beacon of hope amidst the darkness. By supporting this campaign, you are helping to save lives, restore dignity, and offer a glimmer of hope for a future that, right now, seems almost impossible.
If you cannot donate, you can still make a difference. Sharing this blog post and the GoFundMe campaign link with your friends, family, and social networks can spread the word and inspire others to contribute.
I know that these are challenging times for everyone, but I believe that kindness knows no borders. Every bit of help counts and brings us one step closer to safety and peace. For my family and me, your support is the difference between life and death, hope and despair.
Please join me in this fight for survival. With your help, we can overcome this tragedy and rebuild our lives, even if itβs one small step at a time.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. β¨β€οΈ

Dear friends and compassionate supporters,
This is Eman Zaqout, from Occupied Gaza, Palestine. I am a Biotechnologist ,π©Έπ and scientific researcher contacting you at a really desperate moment.
I am seeking your assistance to raise funds for saving our lives, facing the starvation in Gaza and help me achieve my doctoral degree dream after being awarded OWSD PhD Fellowship for inspirational women.ππ©βπ
Just like any motivated and loving life woman, and for years, I poured my heart and soul into my work at Al-Shifa Hospital and Turkish Palestinian Friendship Hospital, as Biotechnology Specialist serving cancer patients with compassion and skill.πͺπ€
[ photos of Turkish Palestinian Friendship Hospital before and after the IDF destruction ]
[ photos of Al-Shifa Hospital before and after the IDF destruction]
I also gave medical lectures to students at different universities and training centers in Gazaπβ
As a result of my outstanding grades in my study and the excellent performance in my job, I have been a holder of different scholarship and I am active participant in many research visits and scientific missions. π©βπ¬The last scholarship as at McGill University in Canada three months ago before the starting of the genocide in Gaza.π₯
My life changed dramatically when Israeli military launched a sweeping war against Gaza. My home and our neighborhood in the North have been destroyed along with our belongings and precious memories early in this crisis.ππ
My job and my husband's job are gone. Israeli military forced us to evacuate from the north Gaza to the south where they claimed it would be the safe zone but it is not at all. Our sweet home and neighborhood have been destroyed.
Forced to flee with nothing but the clothes on our backs, today, we find ourselves sheltering in a displacement camp lacking access to sanitation, medical supplies, food and drinkable water.Β I will not talk a lot about the dire and unbearable life we have to go through, as no word can express it fairlyπ
The good news in the midst of this tragedy, that I am one of the 22 women from the developing world who have been awarded OWSD- PhD fellowship to pursue my PhD study in Malaysiaππͺ. But now I am stuck in Gaza unable to achieve my dream because Israeli army has occupied and closed all the border crossings ππ
Meet 22 fellows awarded OWSD PhD fellowship
This genocide has been more than a year of hell and horror. We have reached a point where there is no hope left for us here in Gaza, where we are unfortunately just waiting for our turn to die.
I refuse to succumb to despair, holding on to the belief that brighter days lie ahead.
With your kindness and generosityπ₯Ί, I hope to survive the genocide and reclaim the path to achieving my doctorate ππ©Έ
Your compassionate aid would mean the world to me and my family.π₯Ίπβ€π΅πΈβ

Iβm Anas Basil, a recent high school graduate with dreams of a brighter future through studying e-business management and building a career. But the war has shattered everything. After graduating with a 93% average, I enrolled at Khan Younis Training College (UNRWA), only to find that itβs now a shelter for displaced families instead of a place for education.
My younger brother, Ahmad, 14, is known as the "Doctor of the Future" because of his extraordinary talent in mathematics. However, the war has kept him out of school for two consecutive years. Ahmad is also a gifted football player who used to win tournaments, but the war has taken that away from him too.
The war forced our family to flee to Rafah, where we lived in a tent for several months. Every day is a struggle for survivalβfetching water, gathering wood, and making a fire.
π― We are seeking β¬29,000 to:
- Secure safe passage out of Gaza and cover education fees to help us pursue our dreams.
- Provide Basic Essentialsβfood, clean water, and medical suppliesβto support our familyβs day-to-day survival in Gaza.
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to our goal.
With gratitude,
Anas & Ahmad

Helloπ
Please take a moment to read my story.
I am Heba Al-Dahdouh. I currently live in the completely destroyed city of Gaza. Since the war on Gaza began on 7/1/2024, my family- my father Nasif, my mother Asmaa, and my siblings Khaled, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Malak-have been living in constant fear, crying, and suffering due to shrapnel, shells, and bullets.
We have no food, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools, no homes, no cleaning supplies, and no clothes. My school has been bombed, and my brother Khaled's university is now rubble, depriving us all of education. The war has forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents unsuitable for living, especially in winter.
Every day we live death, terror, and panic a thousand times because of the ongoing bombardment of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the start of the war, we sought refuge at my aunt's house, . Imagine: we have survived imminent death more than 20 times and have been displaced among shelters more than 13 times. My siblings and I have suffered from many illnesses due to malnutrition, and we need medication continuously.
If we stay in Gaza, we might lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza for a safe place. However, travel costs are extremely high. We need over $50,000 to leave Gaza. Due to exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, lack of security, the ongoing siege, and relentless bombardment, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity, with constant shelling and shrapnel flying above us? Dear compassionate friends around the world,
With your generous donations, even if small, you can save 7 people from imminent death, allowing us to start a life outside Gaza filled with love, peace, and hope.
With my warmest regards from the city of Gaza,
Heba Al-Dahdouh.

Hello, my name is Jaber Mohammad Al-Dahdouh. Iβm 13 years old, and Iβm sharing my story of how war has taken everything from my family and me ππ.
I grew up in northern Gaza, where we lived a life of comfort and love ππ , all thanks to my mother, Maysaa β€οΈ, who has a heart condition π, and my father, who worked hard to provide a bright future for us ππ¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦. My siblingsβShabaan, Hanan, Ahmed, and my youngest sister Ameera, our little darling π§πβwere my closest friends, and we shared dreams π, laughter π, and plans for a life full of hope π β¨.
I was a student π at the Rosary Sisters School, part of the Union of Churches. My school meant so much to me; it was more than a building π«. It was my second home π‘, a place where I felt safe and happy ππ, surrounded by friends and childhood laughter π¦π§π«.
But in a single moment, our lives were turned upside down ππ’. The war destroyed our home π π₯ and my beloved school π«π, and we were forced to flee south under heavy bombing π£π₯π¨. We took refuge in the Nuseirat area, hoping to find safety π€². Yet even there, we were not spared; fighter jets bombed βοΈπ₯ the very place where we had sought shelter. I witnessed family members being taken from us in that attack ποΈπ.
I share my story today as a child who has lost almost everything: my home π π, my school π«πͺοΈ, family members π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ποΈ, and even my dreams π . I am reaching out not only to share the pain π but to search for a glimmer of hope π to help rebuild our lives.
I humbly ask for your support π€²π to help me and my family through this tragedy ποΈ. My mother, Maysaa, is unwell with a heart condition π, and my remaining siblings and I need your support to rebuild from the devastation ππ. Your donations could be the only chance to restore a part of our hope π―οΈπ and enable me to build a new future from the rubble π‘β¨.
Thank you for your kindness and support β€οΈππ·.
