me petting my partner cat before the wave of the silver wind hits us (it’s our final moments together)
A wild ∞ approaches!
Lucky you, you caught me right before I went to bed!
I really like the chorus of this song!! It helps me stay optimistic when times are tough.
I said, I don't like change but I'm not afraid
I can't keep it together ever anyway
When every page is in disarray
I think we'll be okay
Random Dusknoir headcanon that won’t leave me alone: his collar/ruff works like plumage for emoting (e.g. surprise, threat display, etc.)
I love that we PMD artists have seemingly unanimously agreed that Dusknoir’s “stomach mouth” is capable of expression since his “face” only has an eye, don’t get me wrong. I intend to continue utilizing this headcanon until the day I die.
However, the thought of his collar acting like plumage is just…hilarious to me. Ideas include:
Puffing up abruptly when he’s surprised or afraid, then smoothing it back down to look collected.
Laying flat when he’s really annoyed or trying to make himself look smaller/feeling vulnerable.
Flaring out to make himself look bigger as a threat display or when he’s really upset (angry, distraught, anxious, etc.)
Moving while he talks about something for which he’s passionate (flaring with emphases, reclining when he lowers his voice or listens to someone).
Quivering with nerves or excitement.
I’ve honestly been trying to sneak this headcanon into my art for a little while with mixed results. I want to make it more obvious in the future protect. If any of you have anything you’d like to add, feel free!😊
Someone must have done something genuinely abominable to make Nia this angry and that terrifies me.
Breaking point.
Hey look it's my guys!! Thanks again for this, the songs were really fun to listen to :)
This one is for team Sunspark, made by @stingraywipe! I'll prolly have a different distribution of songs for this one, but there'll still be plenty of tunes!
I do have to apologize for the lack of rambles on these like the other ones, braincells come and go.
Snail town! I think this one fits Clay being friendly. A funky lil tune for a funky lil guy!
White shadow. It goes a lot a better with Leo, who's a good bit more introverted.
A Rainy Forest Morning! A song for both of em chilling!
Now for the combat tunes!
Onslaught of Tribulation. This is the only one on youtube that there is. But! Seems like it works with the vibes the two have!
Heroic confrontation. My idea for a 'difficult' fight or one where the two have to go all out.
Hopefully you enjoy em!
I like you when you sleep 💕
like where did it come from i was literally doing a silly little art and craft
What are the things Leo and Clay like to do in their spare time? Do they have any hobbies / interests they'd like to explore but haven't been able to yet?
Clay spends a lot of his free time trying become literate again. He very quickly realizes how difficult it is to function in society when he can't read or write the language that everyone uses, and he hates having to rely on Leo for it (even though Leo doesn't mind it). After Leo helps him get the basics down in terms of the alphabet, necessary words, and simple grammar, he starts reading simple books to expand his vocabulary. Writing is particularly difficult for him to learn to due to the fact that he has to learn to write a new alphabet with paws AND as a quadruped. He comes to find that he enjoys reading comics a lot. The combination of pictures and less words allows him to enjoy fictional works despite his poor reading skills, which he greatly appreciates. Eventually, he wants to read well enough to read more advanced nonfiction books so he can learn more about the history, science, and overall state of the new world he's living in. That's on the backburner for now though.
Leo likes to paint in his spare time. Art is something his parents introduced him to when he was young, and they would often bring him back materials to use from their expeditions. It helps him de-stress, which is super good him considering that he's a bundle of nerves most of the time. After joining the guild with Clay, he starts to make his own supplies/paints using items they find in mystery dungeons. He also takes inspiration from the new places they explore and implements them into his paintings. Clay insists that his paintings are incredible and that he should be selling them somewhere, but Leo doesn't buy it.
There's a lot the two of them like to do together too. They both enjoy visiting Treasure Town while preparing for missions. Clay likes to chat with travelers and other explorers, and Leo enjoys talking with the shopkeepers whom he knows from his parents. They also like stopping by Spinda's after they finish their jobs for the day. Leo prefers sweeter drinks, whereas Clay tends to prefer more tart, citrusy juices. They also enjoy taking walks on the beach together when they have the time. The sound of the waves is relaxing, and it's a nice escape from all the noise of the world and busy guild life.
Sofie I am scared and excited and anxiously anticipating what is to come I hope you’re happy
Just made 40 individual PMD2: Text Post Boogaloo pieces and am holding back the impending tidal wave of posts with a broomstick and prayer.
The queue can only hold them back for so long.
Brace yourselves.
#11, #18, and #44— or #33 if you don't have a favorite myth for #11 ^^
Ooo, these are good.
I took a classical mythology class my freshman year of college and three years of Latin in high school (we did a lot of Roman mythology stuff in there), so I actually have a good bit of material to work with here! I think my favorites are the ones that start to blur the line between history and mythology. The Iliad/Trojan war, for example, is one I like a lot, because it very much feels like an actual event that took place. I find it really interesting to read stories like that where the gods become deeply involved with a seemingly real conflict that should just be an issue among mortals.
Not anything I'd ACTUALLY consider a script. I guess I've technically written some very short script-like things for some skits/projects in school, but nothing I every put too much work into or would actually consider a script. Almost all of the writing I do is scientific or analytical, but when I do write fictional pieces I'm definitely better at more traditional narrative stuff.
I'm not a huge fan of it. I like it mixed into some things like with piña coladas, but besides that I tend to avoid it.
Seeing the incredible art/stories people create here, and how it's able to bring so many people together
The weekly calls I have with my friends who I don't get to see often because we go to different colleges. We've been doing this for a year now, and my best friend and I have been telling the others the stories for OC's we've been writing for almost 10 years now
Looking at all the plushies of Pokemon, Kirby, Ori, and others that I have around my room
Thinking about how far I've come this semester in terms of my mental health
Cuddling with my cats back at home
Simply being in the presence of my close friends, whether we're actually doing anything or not
