This week’s theme: Masters and Apprentices!
Isn’t this a lovely picture of Luke and Rey (called Kira in the first drafts)? It’s by prequels artist (and DSWCP fave) Ian McCaig, and it was drawn during the preproduction of The Force Awakens, but published in The Last Jedi art book to avoid spoilers. (Funnily enough, the prequels art books didn’t care about spoilers; in fact, they would have the whole script in there!)
Concept art titled “Keyframe 001” by Ian McCaig, drawn sometime 2014-5 (I think), from The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, written by Phil Szostak. Published 2017.
