I’ve seen several of these passed around, but they always feel incomplete. I’ve decided to put together my own version. I hope this is helpful.
Religious WItches - Witches who practice within a religious practice (like Wicca)
Secular Witches - Witches who practice outside of a religious practice.
Solitary Witches - Witches who practice alone
Sonicary Witches - Witches who only exist as the concept of sound
Tweed Witches - Witches who are really into elbow patches
Sandwiches - like a good ham and cheese one would be pleasant now.
Cranberry Witches - Best served at Thanksgiving
Forest Witches - They are in the woods, right now, totally lost

Sea Witches - They work with water
C Witches - scpell everytching wcith unecesscary C’s
Gray Witches - only wear the color gray.
Grey Witches - Like Gray witches, only more pretentious
Fae Witches - Witches who work with Fairies
Witches Near Fae Witches - just waiting to see if the Fae Witches weren’t careful enough when they made their deals with the Fae.
Booze Witches - Do their best witchcraft drunk, or at least that’s what they tell you when they ask you to hold their beer. This is what Steve thinks he is. He isn’t. Steve has a problem.

To The Witch Who Doesn’t Feel “Witchy” Enough:
✨You are divine.
✨Witchcraft isn’t a competition.
✨Differences should be celebrated, not lamented.
✨You contain multitudes. Your feelings and perceptions may fluctuate, but you will always be you.
✨What another witch says about you says more about the witch than it does about you.
✨Taking a break from practicing witchcraft doesn’t mean you are taking a break from being a witch.
✨You are what you are, and that is pure magic.
I recommend as an addition to this wonderful spell, to charge an object (ring, earrings etc) with energy ,because you might get to the point of running low on energy . Try "borrowing" the energy from the trees and earth ,not people,as they can't usually consent giving energy.
I do this every time I have work to do and it’s not a big deal. It’s basically for me to be able to do work uninterrupted by distractions.
You’ll need: - Two yellow candles. - Clove incense. - A marker. - A sigil of productivity of your choice. I used this one by sigilwitch. - Something to light the candles and incense obviously.
What to do: - First of all take a shower. It’s not a requirement but it works for me ‘cause when I’m sleepy I feel wide awake after a shower. Focus on the water washing away your negativity and stress. - Light both candles and the incense. - Write the sigil on you and charge it using your own energy: I put my hand over the sigil and visualize my energy flowing over it. When I feel it’s enough I state my intent “I charge this sigil with the intent of being productive and getting things done” as I glance at the candles.
Warning: this often makes me hyperproductive, I end up full of energy and do more stuff than I was meant to. Idk if this is a good thing for you but be warned.

Hi !
Sorry that we take a long time to respond ,we don't ignore you but our free time is kinda nonexistent:))))) .
So, not all of us are able to be open with our practice, and others of us just flat out don’t have money to dole out to buy supplies. That being said, here are some low-cost or straight up free supplies! **Note: Some of these involve my personal associations.**
Tiny glass bowls: You can literally find this at the dollar store and use them as offering bowls!
Twigs: You can use these to make wreaths, wands, holders for things, etc., and you can also use them in spells that involve banishment, separation, etc.!
Grass: Represents interconnection
Old mason jars: Storage for your herbs, crystals, etc.
Tea light candles: You can find these pretty much anywhere, and they come in bulk for cheap!
Kitchen herbs: You don’t have to go all out and by the tall containers of these; you can just go to the grocery store and buy a set of the small ones!
Air-dry Clay: Crayola sells this for cheap, and you can use this to make lots of things! Amulet coins, tiny bowls, figures, and more!
Old T-Shirts’s fabric: You can recycle old t-shirts and use them to make poppets or herb sachets!
Ribbon, twine, the likes: These can be used in wand-decoration, knotting spells, as sachet string, and literally anything else.
Tea Leaves: Teas are so varied with so many different properties, there’s pretty much infinite value here.
Seeds: Sunflower and pumpkin seeds are easy to find (because they’re snacks), and these have their own properties themselves!
Leaves: Whether they’re fresh off a tree (be respectful with that!), have fallen to the ground, or have completely dried up, leaves have lots of uses! Dried up leaves, for example, can be used in spells related to ending something, “death,” new beginnings, etc.
Yo! It’s that time where I should be productive again. This time I’m specifically talking to the beginner or “baby” witches. Hi there, friend, how you doing? This is the equivalent of your cool disaster drunk aunt or cousin in the witch community. Today, I’m gonna tell you about things you shouldn’t feel guilt and/or FOMO about in your witchcraft journey. These are just some things I’ve observed myself or had some guilt/fomo about myself.
Meditating “correctly” - Bud… There’s no one template for mediation. You’re opening yourself. There’s a ton of ways to do that and a lot of us have issues with attention. You’re doing fine. Just acknowledge your random thoughts and push them away for later. Keep trying.
Tools needed for “proper” witchcraft- Nah. Magic does not care about your finances. It’s all about that intent. If some witch is flanting about how any witch worth their salt needs ___; they may just be salty they spent a small fortune on some rocks for not much. Chances are, they’re a gatekeeping asshole and you don’t need that. Intent and creativity is free. You can make a wand out of anything and you can definitely make anything a tool for your craft.
Every witch needs a deity- that’s… seriously not true. Witches don’t have to have a deity/guide. You shouldn’t have to force a relationship with a deity/spirit/religion. Your craft is yours. If you don’t feel any deity calling…they might not be. And that’s okay. You’re not less of a witch for not having an entity. I know I was like that for a while before Apollo pretty much crossed his arms like “Am I a joke to you?”. I wanted a new guide/deity so bad and I didn’t work on myself. Perhaps you don’t get a deity/entity for now. Maybe that’s not part of your journey. Maybe it’ll never be. Maybe you’ll work with multiple entities on a one time exchange thing (yes, that happens and it’s perfectly fine, it’s like a magical business deal). It is all okay. Whatever your path may be, it does not have to have a deity in it. So don’t jump in a relationship with one cause they’ll be just as confused sometimes.
A little controversial; but you have to renounce Christianity- I was raised Christian and I left it myself, do you have to do it? No, no you don’t. I’ve seen some discourse on Christian witches and I have a very religious family, so I admit I’ve got a small bias on this topic. I’ve just decided to treat Christian witches the same way I treat LGBTQ+ Christians…I commend you for willingingly being in a community that seriously doesn’t seem to like y’all. To each their own, have a good life. It’s none of my fucking business anyway.
Everyone needs to follow the Threefold laws- I remember someone tried to get me to do that and the moment I told them I wasn’t Wiccan, they were stumped. No, you don’t have to follow the Threefold laws. You’ll be fine if you don’t. Promise. If you want to follow it, do so. But only if you wish to. Edit: I literally fucking forgot Wiccans existed like the WHOLE time I wrote and adjusted this so…yeah. My bad. Threefold is mainly a Wiccan thing. Not Pagan. Got corrected. They were right.
Stick to a path- Eclectic and Chaos witches exist. They are living negation of that idea.
All witches must be in a coven- No they don’t. Solitary Witches exist and are perfectly fine. Perfect example: Moi. Also: those who choose to be solitary can visit a coven and hang with them for a moment if the coven and the solo witch agree. Perhaps someone needs help or a second opinion or something. Collaboration is a thing. And it’s perfectly fine. A friend of mine started a coven, I’m allowed to chill and hang with the coven any time, but we both know I’m not a part of her coven and I doubt I will be.
It’s always about the craft- No. Just no. You don’t have to be a witch all the time and its more than okay to take a break, however long you need. Witchcraft can be exhausting. More important things can be happening. You’re not a failure of a witch if you’re not a witch every second of your life. Be you.
Well, that’s enough of that. Beginner witches, I hope you are a little more at ease or you have some concerns addressed if not…welp. Maybe next time. Anyway, be good and love yourself~
Stop looking for/buying “Tarot bags” and similar things and start looking at DICE BAGS at your D&D/Tabletop game store. Seriously. The medium-large sizes fit a tarot deck nicely, and the smaller ones can be used for runes and other things. They are just as high quality bags, still plenty of colors and designs. And they’re WAY CHEAPER.
