Undercover

Angela Lopez x female reader (The Rookie)

“Officer Y/L/N,” Sergeant Grey calls, “Detectives Lopez and Harper want to see you.”

Your eyebrows rise in surprise. “Yes, sir.”

You make your way to the detectives’ desks, swallowing your nerves at the sight of Lopez before standing at attention. “Morning, detectives. Sergeant Grey said you wanted to see me?”

“Morning,  Y/L/N,” Harper greets. “We’ve got a case. We could use your skill set.”

“My skill set? What exactly do I have to offer that you don’t, ma’am? Hard to believe you need a patrol officer’s help. Big case?”

“Don’t undermine yourself,  Y/L/N. You’re smart. You’ve got good instincts. And you know this case inside and out,” Lopez cuts in. You swallow thickly at her praise, forcing the blush off of your face.

“The Tijuana Cartel?” You guess.

Lopez confirms it. “We’ve got an in. You and I are going undercover,” she smirks.

You nod, forcing yourself into business mode. “When are we doing this?”

“Tomorrow night. Which means we have today to prepare you.”

“This isn’t my first undercover op, Detective Lopez.”

“I know. We wouldn’t risk the case if we didn’t have faith in your abilities.”

You nod firmly. “I appreciate the vote of confidence.”

“You’ve earned it,” Harper assures. There’s a glint in her eyes that rouses a curiosity in you. She knows something.

You pull a chair up to their desks and review the case with the detectives. Several hours are spent delving into cover stories and planning before it’s time for a break. As Lopez and Harper bicker over what to get for lunch, you let your eyes trail over to Detective Lopez. Her eyes shine as she smiles at Harper, arguing that they get burritos way too often. Dark hair frames her face as she arches a brow at Harper’s claim that they hadn’t gotten burritos all week.

“What do you think, Y/L/N?” Harper asks.

“Huh? Oh, uh—I, yeah, I’m fine with whatever.”

“That’s what I thought,” Harper says with a vaguely accusatory look as Lopez shoots you a lopsided smirk.

“Y/L/N and I will go pick up the tacos,” Lopez says, motioning for you to follow her. You scramble out of your seat after staring for a moment too long, ignoring Harper’s laughter behind you.

“You ready?”

“As I’ll ever be. After last time…I can’t mess this up. Diaz needs to go away,” you mumble, remembering the barrel of his gun against your temple the last time you saw him.

“He won’t be there. Don’t worry. We’ll get him. If this op goes as planned, we’ll have enough to issue a warrant for his arrest.”

“Thank you, Detective Lopez.”

“You can call me Angela. We’ll be working together pretty closely the next couple of days.”

“Right, of course. In that case, call me Y/N.” Your eyes meet hers across the center console and your stomach flutters. You do your best to ignore it.

You nervously adjust the black blazer that rests over a lace corset top and black pants. As silly as it is, you’re almost nervous for Lopez to see you in something other than your uniform.

A knock on the door jars you from your thoughts. You open the door and smile in greeting before the grin drops entirely off your face.

Angela stands there in a long sparkly black dress. A deep V-neck and long leg slit leaves little to the imagination. Your eyes get stuck at the top of the slit where the beginnings of her hip are exposed.

She clears her throat and your eyes dart up to hers, finding an amused smirk on her face.

“You clean up alright, Y/L/N. Ready to go?”

“Uh, yeah. Yeah, I’m ready. You ready?”

“Always. Come on. We’ve got a party to attend.”

The two of you were undercover as girlfriends—not that anyone would even notice you at this huge party. Lights flashed and music pounded. A couple was having sex in one corner and a group of guys were playing poker in another.

You kept your arm wrapped securely around Angela’s waist—for the sake of your cover, of course. Her hand came to rest on an exposed sliver of skin on your stomach as the two of you stood near the bar. To anyone else, you looked like a drunken couple lost in their own world. But in reality, it was the perfect vantage point to keep an eye out.

Angela’s fingers pressed firmly into your stomach to get your attention. “There. Carlos. Diaz’s right hand man. Let’s go.”

Quietly, the two of you make your way across the dance floor—getting shoved against each other several times—and make your way down the hallway that Carlos disappeared into. The two of you stop outside the door he went into, leaning against the wood to hear what he was saying.

“Next week’s meeting is crucial. We can’t fuck this up. Anyone strays from the plan and Diaz will gut you like a pig, got it?”

You meet Angela’s eyes as another voice speaks too quietly to make out his words.

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I was in the middle of something before you interrupted me. And she was hot.”

Your eyes widen as Carlos’ footsteps approach the door, and you grab Angela’s hand and drag her quickly down the hall. You slow to a semi-casual stroll.

Footsteps coming from the other direction pull a cuss from your lips as you realize that you’re being boxed in.

“Shit, we should call for backup,” Angela mumbles, her eyes darting around in search of an escape. The footsteps are growing close enough to have your heart thrumming.

“Do you trust me?”

“What? Of course I do,” she answers with confusion. Swallowing your nerves, you duck your head down and bring your lips to hers, pushing her back into the wall. She doesn’t kiss back at first, but then she understands your intentions and reciprocates.

Her hands run down your sides, pulling you closer into her body. The footsteps fade to the back of your mind as you run your tongue over her bottom lip, moaning lowly when she grants access. With one hand against the wall next to her head, the other hand grabs her hip and brings it into your own. Her hand tangles in your hair as she tilts her head, finding a new angle that has the both of you moaning and pushing desperately for more.

“Who are you? You can’t be back here,” a deep, grainy voice cuts in. The two of you break the kiss but your hands remain on each other and your bodies against the wall.

“Uh, sorry, just got distracted,” you tell him with a laugh. “This dress should be illegal,” you add as your eyes rake over it.

“We just wanted some privacy. Only so much you can do before people begin to notice your hands under the table,” Angela says with a smirk. Holy fuck, I’m gonna die right here, right now, you think.

“Well you can’t be here. Get out. Now,” he grumbles.

“Of course. So sorry,” she giggles before pushing off the wall and dragging you down the hallway. You turn around and give the burly man a half-sorry shrug.

The two of you make it back to the car in silence. Adrenaline lights your bodies aflame and arousal has your hearts beating rapidly. Once seated in the car, the air turns thick and awkward.

“Um, I’m sorry if I crossed a line back there. I understand if you need to write me up, or–”

“Stop right there. It was good thinking. If we had been made, we might not be alive right now. Nobody’s being written up,” she promises. “Plus, it was a pretty good kiss,” she adds with a smirk.

“Just pretty good?” You laugh.

“Yeah, not half bad.” Her eyes dart down to your lips and your stomach tightens.

“Is it bad that I want to kiss you again?” You whisper.

“Yes. Definitely. But I think you should do it anyway,” she urges you.

Without hesitation, you lean in and meet her lips once more, sucking her plump bottom lip between yours and drawing a moan from her throat. Her tongue slips into her mouth as your hands roam desperately over her body that's separated from yours by the center console. Her hand dips beneath your blazer, toying with your waistband as her thumb slips beneath it. Her hand moves to the button of your slacks.

“Can I?” she breathes.

You nod, whispering “please” before a knock on the window interrupts your actions. Your bodies jolt apart at a speed that you briefly think might be inhuman. When you see the face that’s smirking outside the car window, your body fills with fear. “Oh no.”

Angela opens the window and Harper leans down, smiling evilly at the two of you. “So. You two have fun? What am I saying? Of course you are. Enough fun to forget that I could hear everything over comms.”

“Nyla–” Angela starts.

“Don’t. Your little secret is safe with me. It’s about time you two stopped making heart eyes at each other and actually did something about it,” she smirks.

Reblogging this because suicide is a real thing and please see this and rethink that life IS worth it I have had these thoughts too but I can already see the reactions of my parents and friends that they will miss me and that I'm worth living for so pls rethink your choices you are absolutely worth it bubbas 😭🧡

What happens once you kill yourself? Because I'm ready to go.

You wanna know what happens once you kill yourself? Your mother comes home from work and finds her baby dead and she screams and runs over to you and tries to get you to wake up but you won’t and she keeps screaming and shaking you and her tears are dripping onto your face and your dad hears all the screaming and runs into the room and he can’t even speak because the child that he loved and the child that he watched grow up is gone forever and finally your little sister runs into the room to see what all the fuss is about and she sees you dead. The person she looked up to and loved. The person she bragged about to  her friends, the person she wanted to be just like when she grew up, the person that made her feel safe. But she’s never really going to get to grow up and smile and laugh and love because she’ll always be consumed with this feeling of missing you. And now there’s something missing from your family and they can barely look at each other anymore because everything reminds them of you but you’re gone and hurts more than anything. and you think that your mom never cared because she was always busy and yelling at you to finish your homework and clean your room and forgot to say I love you sometimes but really, she loved you more than anything and she doesn’t leave the house anymore, she can’t even get out of bed and she’s getting thinner and thinner because it’s too hard to eat. Your father had to quit his job and he doesn’t sleep anymore, every time he closes his eyes he sees his baby dead, and the image never goes away no matter how much alcohol he drinks. And at school your best friend sees that your seat is empty and she gets this sick feeling in her stomach and that’s when she hears the announcement. You killed yourself. And suddenly she’s screaming and crying in the middle of class and no one even bothers comforting because they’re all  busy sitting there staring at your empty seat with tears dripping down their cheeks and all she wants is for you to hug her and tell her it’s gonna be okay like you always did, but this time, you’re not there to do it, everything is dark now that you’re gone and her grades are slipping, she barely goes to school anymore and she ended up in hospital after taking too many pills because she wanted to see you again. the girls who used to make fun of the way you dressed feel their throats get tight, they don’t talk to each other anymore, they don’t talk to anyone, they’re all in therapy trying so hard not to blame themselves but nothing works. and your teacher who always gave you a hard time stares blankly at the wall, she quits her job a few days later. And then your boyfriend hears the news and he can’t breathe, he still calls you a lot just to hear your voice and he talks to you on facebook but you never message him back, he can’t fall in love again because every girl he meets reminds him of you, he’s never going to get over you, he loved you and he cries himself to sleep every night, hating himself and slicing his skin because he couldn’t save you and he’s never going to hold you in his arms or hear you laugh again. Now everyone who knew you, whether they were a big part of your life or someone you passed in the hallway a few times a week, they carry this aching feeling around inside them because you’re gone, and they miss you, and they don’t know why you left but it must’ve been their fault and they should’ve stopped you and they should’ve told you they loved you more and that feeling is never going to go away. And so you killed yourself

but you killed everyone else around you too.

Kidnapped

Fridolina Rolfö x Baby!Reader

Summary: Frido kidnaps you

Kidnapped

Frido thought that her parents were going crazy when they called. She thought they were losing their marbles when they complained that they missed a full house and were planning on adopting.

She'd swept it under the rug until she received a picture two months later of her parents in a baby's room with a tiny baby sleeping in a crib. She hadn't even realised they were being serious until the picture.

But now, as she stood with you in her arms, she understood it completely.

It had been all too easy to escape with you for training this morning. With her parents coming to visit and the time difference from Sweden to Spain, they had both been out for the count and Frido had taken you with her.

She was still technically injured and only joined in with light training so this was a perfect way to bond with you.

"Frido," Ingrid says as she steps into the locker room," What...What have you done?"

She stood in the doorway in shock, blocking the entrance before she was shoved out of the way by the other girls. Each of them had a similar reaction, stopping and staring before being brutally shoved over so the next person could take their place.

"Hmm?" Frido asks, not looking up from where she's feeding you your bottle," I just finished my gym session. Why?"

"I think she means the baby, mate," Lucy butts in, eyes wide as she stares with no shame," Was the knee injury just a cover up for a pregnancy?"

"What? No! This is y/n. My little sister."

"That's a baby."

"Well, yes, but she's my little sister too."

"I think she looks very sweet," Irene cuts in before anyone else can drag this out any longer.

Irene approaches and you draw your eyes away from where they've gone cross-eyed to see your bottle to look at her. You keep suckling as you stare at her with unblinking eyes.

"This is Irene, älskling," Frido coos," She plays football with me."

You keep suckling as your eyes cut towards the rest of the girls who have begun to line up to get a closer look at you.

"So," Patri laughs," Did you steal her from Sweden or-?"

"My parents came to visit," Frido replies as she detaches you from your bottle and places you on her shoulder to wind you," And I'm letting them have the day off."

"Did you tell them that?"

Frido's face goes a little red. "I left a note. It's not like I kidnapped her!"

"This is like the textbook definition of kidnap," Patri laughs, pulling a silly face at you when you're turned back around to face her," But she's cute so I'm glad you did it."

Frido looks down at you. "She is, isn't she?"

She didn't know what to expect from you when her parents came to visit. She'd seen you briefly in video calls and received routine pictures and videos of you but meeting you in person was different.

You were so small and sweet and you fit just perfectly in her arms. You'd reached up to her with your little baby hands and patted at her cheek and she fell in love with you right then and there.

Ingrid comes to greet you next.

You're more aware of everyone now as you sit propped up on Frido's lap. Your little legs kick out occasionally as Frido sways you side to side. You seem to like that because you let out little peals of giggles as Ingrid approaches.

She smiles at you and Frido beams at her.

It's not that she needs approval but Ingrid's one of her best friends and it would mean a lot if she liked you too.

Ingrid goes down onto her knees so you're at eye level with her. You stare at her like you stared at Irene before Frido rocks you slightly. Your face splits into a smile and you giggle again, kicking your legs out and stuffing your fist into your mouth.

Ingrid grins, looking up at Frido.

"You should be careful," She says," If you keep kidnapping her then your parents might never let you bring her back to see us."

Frido laughs, lifting you up until you're both pressed cheek to cheek. "They'd never be able to separate me from my älskling. I'm going to take her everywhere with me!"

"She's your sister," Ingrid reminds her," She'll have to go back to Sweden at some point."

"No!" Frido declares, shaking her head and laying several ticklish kisses on your cheek, sending you into another round of bell-like giggles. "She's staying with me! They can't have her anymore!"

"So, this kidnapping is a permanent thing," Ingrid teases.

"No!" Frido looks at you and your little gummy smile and the way that you kick your feet out even though you're dangling in her arms. "Maybe!" You shove your fist into your mouth and Frido coos. "Would you like that, älskling? Living with me? Spain is so much warmer than Sweden."

You gurgle and Frido takes that as agreement.

"You're staying with me, huh?" She says as you suddenly get distracted by your own feet, reaching down to tug at them. "I know. We're going to have so much fun together."

"Fun together on the run," Patri teases," Because that's certainly kidnapping."

"I'll lay low at Ingrid's for a while. She and Mapi have already got everything set up for a baby. Me and älskling will be fine."

"They've got things set up for a child," Patri reminds her," Their cub isn't a baby anymore. Sorry, Frido, you've got no chance of outrunning the law."

Frido grins as you kick your feet and giggle again. "We'll work something out."

I Trust You
I Trust You

It was almost eight o'clock in the evening when FRIDAY reported that the guys' quinjet should arrive at the compound within an hour.

Steve, Sam, and Bucky went on another mission to destroy HYDRA almost two weeks ago. As usual, none of you could get any news from them because they couldn't risk giving away their whereabouts.

It was foolish to assume that you weren't worried about them. Especially for one person. Bucky.

I Trust You

You and the former Winter Soldier met about six months ago when Steve and Sam first brought him to the tower. Steve was really worried about his old best friend, so before bringing Bucky to the tower, he talked with the team and asked all of you to give Bucky space.

Of course, you knew who he was from the day Steve found out that Bucky was alive. You have seen hundreds of reports and photographs on TV and on the Internet about The Winter Soldier, a ruthless killer who was always invisible but too damn good at his missions. He is the man who was turned into a weapon against his will.

When Steve introduced him, the whole team just nodded and shared awkward smiles, and Bucky himself kept his eyes on the ground. The whole situation was too intense, and no one, not even the funny and sarcastic Tony Stark, knew what to do or say. You actually thought that it might be rude to just stand there and look at him, as if he was a wild animal. Looking at this shy and uncomfortable-looking man before you, you knew that the smallest thing you could get him was to show that he was welcomed in this tower and that everyone was on his side. So, pushing away your own shyness and nerves, you stepped forward, holding out your right hand.

"Hi, my name is Y/N.  It's nice to meet you. I hope you’ll feel comfortable around here." You offered your warmest and most sincere smile, trying not to show nervousness.

Bucky slowly raised his head, genuinely surprised that anyone else had actually spoken to him besides Steve. It's nice to meet you. When had he heard those words for the last time?

Your eyes met, and you could have sworn all the air was out of your lungs. His eyes were even more beautiful than in those rare, high-quality photographs. He looked truly beautiful, with long hair and blue eyes, even though you could see that he was tired—physically and even more emotionally. You stood for what seemed like an eternity, looking at each other's faces, until Bucky got a little nudge from Steve on the arm.

Only then did his gaze move to your still outstretched arm. He hesitated a bit, unsure if he wanted to be touched or feel someone’s warm skin. It’s been too long since another person wanted to touch him without causing any harm. Even Steve gave him minimal physical contact. Always through the gloves or thick jacket, and Bucky didn’t know the true reason for this—whether it was because Steve cared about his feelings or he just didn't want to do that. But then Bucky looked at you again, and he already knew that you would be his death.

You were so beautiful. Probably the most attractive person he has ever seen. It was still morning, and he assumed that you planned to have a day for yourself because you had no makeup, your hair was a little bit messy, and you looked really comfy in a big sweater and a pair of black leggings. Oh, and he definitely noticed your cute, fluffy pink socks. Your eyes were full of friendliness and comfort, so it made him want to trust you. Your lips curled into a warm smile, and he had no doubt that you wanted to make him feel comfortable on the team.

Bucky lifted the corners of his lips slightly, meeting your eyes again, and held out his right hand to you, still feeling awkward. Especially when the whole team around you watches your interaction too closely.

 "Hi."

I Trust You

When the Quinjet landed on the territory, you couldn't calm your pounding heart. Natasha, who was standing a couple of steps away from you, of course, noticed your condition but didn’t say anything and just sent you a reassuring smile. She knew you'd calm down when Bucky was by your side.

Sam got out first. He looked tired, had a couple of scratches and bruises, but was generally fine.

"Sam!  God, I'm glad you're okay." You said, running closer to him. "How is Bucky? And Steve? Are they okay?" Your worried eyes ran across his face, trying to find answers, but he only pursed his lips and lowered his eyes to the ground.

"Steve’s fine, and Bucky, um... I think you should see it yourself. And I think you need to have a serious talk with this idiot because he doesn't listen to us." Your brows furrowed, but before you could ask anything else, footsteps and stifled moans were heard behind Sam.

It felt like your heart stopped as soon as you saw him. Blood flowed from his temple and lip, and an already darkening bruise adorned his right cheekbone. Your eyes rushed down, trying to find all the damage, and then you saw it. Bucky kept his right hand on his left side. His entire palm was scarlet red as the blood passed through his thick suit and soaked through his fingers. Your mouth opened involuntarily, and your eyes instantly filled with tears.

Of course, this was not his first mission, but he always returned almost without any injuries or with something that quickly healed because of his supersoldier serum. It has never been so bad.

Before you knew it, you were already standing next to him. Tears flowed freely down your face, and you raised your hands up, wanting to touch him, but they froze in the air.

"Bucky…" You sobbed, looking straight into his eyes.

"Hello, doll" He smiled reassuringly at you, but you saw how he pressed his teeth together to ease the pain. He didn’t want to scare you.

"Bucky, God, wh-what happened? You need to go to the hospital wing. You’re losing a lot of blood!" You gently took his metal hand, but before you could lead him away, he removed it and moved away a little.

"It's all right, doll.  Nothing that I can't handle on my own. Trust me, I’ve experienced worse."

"Buck, Y/N is right." You notice Steve for the first time because all your attention has been focused on Bucky since he appeared. "That punk cut you pretty deep; it needs to be stitched up."

"You know, I never go to the hospital wing." He purses his lips awkwardly, looking down.

Of course. Of course you knew it. Everyone in the tower knew that the Winter Soldier didn't like being touched or visiting doctors, and he had never asked for any kind of help. He always limited himself to a short handshake or a pat on the back from his best friend.

But you also knew that Bucky couldn't take off his clothes in front of anyone. Too many scars from bullets, knives, and other things that HYDRA used to torture him He confessed this to you one evening when you were sitting in the dark in the common room after his nightmare.

In those six months, you got close enough to him that he trusted you to sit with him in the stillness of the night and share his fears. But he still avoided touching and, of course, did not want to show his body to anyone. Even you. Especially to you.

You were one of the few good things in his life. Someone who genuinely wanted to spend time with him, who wasn’t afraid of him, and who was always kind and supportive. Bucky didn't want to lose you. And he knew that if you ever saw him with those ugly marks all over his body, you would run away without looking back. Because who would like it?

The hand that took hundreds of lives. The hand that was forever connected to his body left a big reminder that he was, in fact, just an experiment that went too well. He often looked at his shoulder in the mirror with anger and despair, wanting to get rid of this mixture of scars and torn skin. Obviously, when HYDRA put that prosthetic on him, they didn't care much about looks or pain, so they just hooked it on the way they did.

"Bucky, please listen to me." You sobbed, moving closer to him again. "I know you're afraid to go there, but please, you have to do it, otherwise, you'll lose too much blood or just get an infection." You hugged yourself with your hands as your body began to tremble with concern for the person in front of you. "It can leave a big scar." You whispered and saw that Bucky’s jaw clenched again. You didn’t want him to think that there was something wrong with having scars, but you knew that it was emotionally too hard for him to deal with them.

"I'm sorry, doll, but I can't," he pursed his lips, shaking his head, "you know I can't do it."

"Bucky…" you whispered as more tears started flooding your face. You were so focused on Bucky that you didn't even pay attention to your friends, who stood aside and pretended not to eavesdrop on your conversation.

"Don't cry because of me, doll, please, you don't have to cry." Bucky's voice lowered to a whisper as he worked up the courage to use his thumb to wipe a tear from your right cheek with a metal finger.

You took advantage of the opportunity, grabbing his metal wrist and pressing his hand closer against your cheek.

"Please, Bucky. Then let's go to your room. I can help you if you don't want to undress there.

"I don't think it's a good idea either, doll.  You don't need to see it."

"James," you focused on his eyes, rubbing small circles with your thumb into his wrist, "it'll be alright, I promise. I'm not afraid of you. I won’t leave. I'll take care of you. Please do it for me."

You were hurt by his gaze. You've seen a thousand thoughts go through that head. Doubt, fear, uncertainty, and pain. He couldn't lose you. Couldn't lose what you had. Even if he wanted so much more, he was content just being around you. He couldn't lose you to a damn ugly piece of metal attached to him.

But you looked at him like your life depended on it. Tears were still running down your cheeks. You were hurt because of him. But you refused to give up and let his self-doubt win this fight. You continued to gently massage his metal wrist as you placed a light kiss on it. And he could no longer resist you.

"Fine."

I Trust You

"It's better if we do this in the bathroom," you said as you closed the door to Bucky's room behind you. You quickly walked past him, going into the bathroom and pulling out the first aid kit you knew was in the bottom drawer. You felt comfortable being a little bit bossy here, and Bucky didn’t mind it.

He quietly followed you, watching you with an unsure face. His blood was still soaking through his arm, but that didn't bother him as much as the fact that he'd have to undress in front of you and that at some point you would touch him.

Once all the necessary things were ready, you turned to face Bucky, already preparing to help him out. But as soon as your hands went up to help him unbuckle his suit, he staggered back, and you froze with your hands in the air. For a few seconds, you silently looked into each other's eyes, then you moved, trying to understand his reaction, and what you saw made your heart ache.

His brows were slightly furrowed, and the corners of his lips were turned down. His eyes always told you everything that he tried to hide, and right now they told you how scared and insecure Bucky actually was.

"I don't think I can do it." Bucky whispered softly, casting his eyes down in shame.

"Hey James, look at me," you said, taking his face in your hands. "I'm your friend, you know? I won't hurt you. I won’t judge you. I won't do anything against your will. But I need to help you because I can see how much pain you're in," you sighed, running your fingers over his cheekbones. "I know it's hard. And I know you're scared or shy, but I'm here for you. None of this scares me, and I'll be as gentle with you as I can, okay? You can tell me if it becomes too much, and I'll stop. I promise."  You could see the tears forming in his eyes, and you couldn't help feeling the pain that this beautiful man in front of you had been without care and affection for so long.

Bucky nodded slightly, giving you permission to continue.

"I’ll clean up your wound on the ribs, and then we can take care of your face." You carefully removed your hands from his, now placing them on the clasps of his suit. You opened them one by one, and when you finally got to the last one, you helped Bucky carefully remove that piece of clothing. Next on the way was a stretchy long-sleeve shirt, and by glancing at the wound, you could see that all the tissue around it was completely covered in blood.

"So, now I'm going to carefully lift up the shirt so you can take it off and not bother your wound too much, okay?" you asked, running your eyes over Bucky's face to understand his emotions. He took a deep breath, as if preparing for the worst, but nodded anyway.

You started to slowly lift up his shirt, helping Bucky pull his hands out one by one, and then tossed that no longer needed rag into the bathtub.

"Oh god," you muttered softly, looking at the wound that seemed to be even bigger now.

Bucky thought that you said it about his appearance in general, so he lifted his head up to the ceiling to stop angry tears from falling.

Come on, Buck, we need to sew this up so it doesn't leave a scar. Do you think you can sit on the counter next to the sink?" You looked at Bucky, but you couldn't meet his eyes. You knew that he was at the edge, his body trembled a little bit, but he still listened to you and silently jumped up on the free space near the sink.

"Bucky," you said quietly, trying to be as gentle as you could. "I see you right now, and I’m not going anywhere, you hear me?" You put your hand back on his face, making him meet your eyes. Before you could think, you placed your right hand on his chest, causing his eyes to instantly widen in surprise. His skin was very warm and silky, even though there were a lot of scars from different conditions. You gently moved your hand, showing Bucky that you’re not afraid, that you’re not a threat, and that he can trust you. "You're doing well, it’s okay," you said as you started rubbing soothing circles on his shoulder.

You backed off a little, finally picking up all the necessary things, and began to sanitize and then stitch up the wound. Every time you needed to put your hand on your skin, you felt Bucky instantly tense under your touch, but you tried to send him quiet words of encouragement and praise. Bucky was very quiet, not making a sound even when the needle pierced his skin. His face wasn’t in bad condition, and Super Soldier serum almost healed them, so you decided to only sanitize and clean his skin.

"Well, you did a great job, James. I'm proud of you." About twenty minutes later, you finally tied the bandage and began to put everything back in the drawer, but then felt a touch on your arm.

You looked back at Bucky, only to meet tear-filled eyes.

"No one has ever taken care of me in a long time, Y/N." You stepped closer to Bucky again, unconsciously placing your hands on his shoulders. "I feel ashamed of my body. Of that arm. I didn't want you to see those ugly scars. God, this is so pathetic—"

"Don't say that," you interrupted him. "That's not pathetic. I understand how you feel. That you have so many negative thoughts about yourself. But Bucky… God, I don't know how to properly say it." You paused for a moment, considering the words. "You're one of the most amazing people I know. And even if many people in the tower are scared or intimidated by you, for me, you are the sweetest, most caring, and most generous person. You remember every little thing I say, make me coffee and food when I'm too busy, pretend to like those shitty movies that I make you watch with me. I'm so sorry that so many bad things happened to such a good person that you feel unworthy of good things."

Suddenly, strong arms surrounded you, and you realized that Bucky was hugging you with arms wrapping around your waist. He nuzzled up to your neck, and you could feel light sobs. Gently, you entangled your fingers in his hair, massaging the scalp with calming movements.

"I don't deserve you, doll." Bucky pulled back a little, still keeping his hands on your waist. "I wish I could be normal for you. Be who I was back in the 40s. I would’ve asked you out and given you everything that you deserved. But that person is not here any more, and I'm not worthy of you."

He wanted to ask you out on a date?  Your heart stopped as soon as the words left his mouth, and you stared at Bucky in surprise. "Bucky—"

"I know…fuck—I shouldn't have said that. Fuck, fuck, fuck. I'm sorry, doll. I didn't mean to mess anything up between us, I promise. I know you don't feel the same— it's okay, really. Just forget about—"

You didn't let Bucky finish by leaning forward and brushing your lips against his. His flesh automatically tangled in the hair at the back of your neck as the metal one tightened his grip on your waist. For the first few seconds, Bucky was in shock, not kissing you back, but just as you wanted to pull away, his lips began to move, taking over you immediately.

It was the best kiss you ever had. He was gentle yet so passionate. There were a lot of unsaid feelings that Bucky kept to himself for too long. All thoughts seemed to have left your head as the feeling of him filled your whole body.

When there was not enough air, you moved away from each other, touching your foreheads with your eyes closed.

"Fuck" was the first thing he said.

"Yeah," you laughed, finally meeting Bucky's eyes. He looked at you with such adoration that you felt butterflies in your stomach. You just noticed how much skin-to-skin contact you had. "Are you okay with that? Doesn't that make you uncomfortable?" You tilted your head as your hands squeezed his shoulders.

"That's... that's weird. I'm not used to that kind of contact," Bucky said, studying your face. "But I trust you, doll. You are the only person I trust completely." You felt him begin to gently run his hand along your back. "I'd like to ask you out on a date. I mean, if you want to. If not, I totally understand—"

You interrupted him again, leaving a quick kiss on his lips. "I'd like to go on a date with you, James. You know, you’re so cute when you’re shy?"

You've never seen his face so lit up with happiness, with a little bit of pink on his cheeks. Butterflies began to beat in your stomach again, and you realized that it was you who made him feel that way.

"Do you want to go to bed, put on some shitty comedy, and grab some food? I still have to watch over your injury."

"Sounds like a perfect plan, doll." Bucky kissed you on the forehead, interlacing his fingers with you, and led you to his room.

Even if it still required a lot of work, cuddling with Bucky, you knew it was the best place you could be.

She's Not Here- Part 2

"Buck!" He shrugged off Eddie's touch and bolted from the table, checking his pockets for his phone and his wallet. He needed to find his keys from his locker and leave. He had to get down there and get in that shopping centre. Evan needed to scout round every inch of that building. Every corner, every crevace, every hidden crook and cranny, he needed to look round them all. He needed to watch and search every person who tried to leave and every car needed to be stopped and checked. "Buck what's going on?" "One of my daughters is missing."

"Where's my daughter?" Anger, agony and pure, unrivalled chaos burst to life in Evan's voice.

His hands clenched into fists at his sides, his shoulders hunched up near his neck and his chest puffed out with a deep breath that made him feel like he was about to combust.

He could feel his phone burning a hole in his back pocket. He had been spammed with messages from Bobby, Maddie, both his parents but nothing from (Y/n). All he wanted was for her to tell him that they found Minnie, hidden away in some corner or wandering off with someone from another station in a similar uniform to his.

Evan would settle for being told Minnie had been taken by a stranger but someone had found her and brought her back to safety.

His phone was locked but there was the most recent picture of Minnie that he had, waiting to be shown to any security guard or police officer who needed it. He was ready to show his picture to everyone he passed and demand they find his little girl.

He could see the officer's eyes raking him up and down, assessing whether or not Evan was actually the dad of the missing girl. But the fury in his eyes gave it away and told him if he refused to let Evan inside that shopping centre, they would have a bigger situation out here.

"Name?" His voice held a small waver as he looked up at Evan who was a good few metres taller than him. They had to be certain.

"Evan Buckley. Where's my daughter, have you found her yet?"

"We haven't located her yet… Seargent, I have Mr Buckley on his way in." He waved for Evan to follow him and headed inside the shopping centre entrance.

Evan followed closely behind, his irritation growing with each passing second. How long had his daughter been missing? Was she alright? Was someone with her? Was Minnie wandering this place- or God forbid, the streets, all alone? No. Someone would have seen her wandering alone, they would have stopped her, questioned her, tried to help her or look after her. No one would let her get far on her own.

Someone had to be with her, whether they were a friend or an enemy. Evan didn't like either option.

"Then where's my wife?"

"Right this way."

As they walked down the wide hall, Evan let his eyes dart around him. Shops were still open. People were still fluttering in and out. But out of the shops, in the middle of the centre, people were confined to the sides. They were told to walk in single file and stay close close to the wall. No one could wander or flutter about the middle of the floor. They needed clear views of every angle to find Minnie.

Security were posted near every shop, not letting people in or out if they had a child.

Evan shuddered when he heard an announcement rattle through the speakers that almost deafened him.

"If anyone sees a little girl, Minnie Buckley, three years old. Wearing a purple flower dress, white tights and red shoes with a Disney headband on, they should stop her and alert security immediately."

That gave Evan some sort of hint, at least now he knew what she was wearing. The last time he saw any of his girls had been Friday morning when he kissed Minnie and Evie goodbye and dropped Lois and Ellie at school. He had spoken to them last night to say goodnight when they went to bed, but he hadn't seen them. He didn't know what they were wearing, what hairstyles they had today or what their plans had been for today.

Evan saw his family before the officer got close to them.

He bypassed the shorter man and started into a run, pelting down the hall until every set of eyes were on him and people started to panic that he was the culpret with Minnie.

There they were. His mother, sat with an arm around Maddie, both of them red-eyed and looking down at the table as if it would somehow give them the answers they wanted. The blushing pink pram he recognised was next to his mother and he figured his youngest girl was swaddled away in there. He prayed she was.

When his eyes set on (Y/n), he could feel his heart breaking all over again. He felt his heart impale itself on his ribs, wanting to bleed out and commit his body to the ground then and there.

She was sat with her forehead propped up on her hand, her arm trembling, her upper body hunched over the table. Tears streaked down her face, trembles set in all across her body sending her shoulders rocking back and forth.

"Daddy!" Ellie, who had been sat with her chair pulled as close to (Y/n)'s as she could, ripped out of her mother's arms and bolted from the table. Even as she heard her mum cry out and hear her aunt gasp in panic, she bolted across the polished floor.

As soon as she bolted, Lois looked up, located Evan and subsequently set off into a run for him too.

Evan crouched down and held his arms out, scooping the pair of them up, one in each arm until they were cocooned into his chest. He smothered his lips against Ellie's temple, then kissed Lois's cheek as he stood up to his full height and lifted the girls up. Their arms circled around his neck and held him so tightly he couldn't breathe, but he didn't want to.

Evan didn't want to blink, breathe, move or eat or scream until Minnie was back. He didn't want to carry on dwindling through the minutes, the hours, the days. He wanted everything to stop until his third daughter was here and safe in his arms.

"I'm here. It's okay, it's okay girls, I'm here." He nuzzled his face into Lois's hair and took a second to breathe deeply and hold them as close as he could. He wanted them encased into his chest, hidden behind his ribs with his heart so he could keep them safe.

He started walking forwards, the girls in his arms, until he reached the table they were all sat at.

Security were posted around them, police officers were filtering in and out of the food court and milling about the place, trying to set up a plan to search and locate Minnie. If she was even still in the centre at all. But at least the food court had been evacuated. Only their family was in here with the officers, somewhere they could sit and wait in agony but with some sense of privacy.

Evan carefully eased Lois down into a chair and set Ellie on her feet next to her and he took the time to kiss their foreheads again and whisper that it was okay. Because he would make sure of it. Evan would do anything within his power to make sure everything turned out okay.

Tears burned in the corners of his eyes and his heart started to falter and skip a few beats when he crouched down in front of (Y/n).

He nudged her knees to the side and crouched between her thighs that caged him in and grounded him to her. His hands feathered up and down her thighs until she looked at him.

A single tear jumped free from the end of her nose and Evan could see the tracks slithered down her face from how badly she had been crying.

Why did he go in this weekend?

When Maddie texted, why didn't he just talk to Bobby and try and get today off? Why didn't he try harder to get off work earlier today so he could be here with them? Minnie might not have wandered- or someone might not have taken her, if Evan had been with them.

"She's s-still not here." (Y/n) brushed her sleeve against her nose and beneath her eyes to try and stop her face from feeling so tight and taut.

But when she looked back down at Evan, she could feel another tidal wave washing over her. She reached her arms out and wrapped them around his neck and slid forward until she almost fell off her chair and onto his lap. She felt him push upwards so they were level and he let her head slump onto his shoulder.

His arm circled around her waist and pulled her tightly into his chest while his right hand moved to cup the back of her neck. He smothered his lips against her temple and brushed her hair back behind her ear.

"We're gonna find her, okay? We're gonna go find her and take all our girls home."

(Y/n) brushed her nose against Evan's neck and tried to take a deep breath, but all she could do was wheeze and croak small, shallow gulps of air. Having him here made a difference, though. She could feel her heartbeat thinning out, it wasn't throbbing in her temple or pulsing beneath her skin anymore. She could close her eyes for a few seconds now, instead of look around and try not to blink in case she missed a potential sight of her baby girl.

She could feel Evan's fingers gliding up and down her back and she stayed tucked up into his chest, pressing her face as close to his neck as she could until she could feel his thundering heartbeat.

He kissed the side of her head and spared a glance over at his mum and sister. This wasn't how he wanted to meet with their mum. He hadn't seen her in over six months. The last thing Evan wanted was to meet under horrific, uncertain circumstances like this. And he hated to see Maddie in such a state of distress.

She was usually the epitomy of calm and collected. She stayed calm all those years she was with Doug. She put on a brave face for Evan, trying not to let him see what was going on and how frightened or hurt or uncertain she felt. When Maddie was at work, she remained calm even when the 118 were involved in collisions or dangerous situations. She powered through and helped them.

Not today. Today, his sister was crying, rocking back and forth and about to have a panic attack because where was her niece? Where was that little toddler who brightened up a room and made everyone smile, no matter what mood they were in? How had someone managed to get away with her? How had she slipped away from them in less than three minutes without someone stopping her or seeing or noticing?

How did something like this happen?

"Buck. (Y/n)."

Evan lifted his head and he felt like a weight had been lifted from his chest when he looked across the food court and saw his mother in law. Athena. Just the person they needed in a crisis like this to help them through it and find their little girl.

"Here we go, baby. We'll find her now, hm?" Evan's hands moved to cup (Y/n)'s face and he gently lifted her head from his shoulder so he could look up at her. He leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, tasting the saltwater tears tracing across his tongue.

His hands moved down to her waist and he helped her up and let her lean into him when he noticed her knees were close to giving way.

"It's nanny Nash." Ellie murmured quietly but when she tried to get up, Evan reached an arm out and gently nudged her to sit down on the same chair as Lois. He shook his head when she started to whine and his stern expression and broken eyes told her not to try and see Athena. Not yet.

"I want you both to stay here where I can see you. Do not move away from this table, at all. You understand?"

Both girls meekly nodded and stayed cuddled together, squished on the green plastic chair opposite their nan and aunt. And Lois turned to her left and leaned to look in the pram, checking her youngest sister was still asleep and okay.

Evan couldn't have either of the girls coming over and talking to Athena, not when she was here on business to find Minnie. And he didn't want them leaving this table. He knew security was gathered around and every exit was watched and under lockdown, but he didn't want them moving. He needed all his girls where he could see them so he didn't have to panic about losing another girl.

His arms curled around (Y/n)'s waist and he pulled her back up against his chest with his lips against the back of her head. They headed over towards Athena and as soon as they were within reach, Athena reached out and gripped (Y/n)'s hand.

She could see the panic and the fear swirling within her step-daughter's eyes and her face was a bundle of emtions too vast and too many to reason with.

"Okay honey, I've been on the phone to your dad, he's on his way down here now. And he's going to do a quick canvas of the streets, just as a precaution. The officers have run me through the timeline and what's happened."

She gave (Y/n)'s hand a tight squeeze and ran her other hand up and down her arm. Athena had been in this situation hundreds of times, consoling parents, calming them down. Telling them everything was going to be okay. She had seen parents reuinited with their children and watched others fall apart when their children were never found or the worst outcome happened.

But a case like this had never been personal. She had never had a missing child be someone in her own family; one of her granddaughters, no less.

"What do we do now? No one's found her and this place is on lockdown, I'll go roam the streets if I need to, what's the plan?" Evan knew his mother in law would have a plan.

She was experienced in these situations and she knew the best course of action, but Evan wasn't a fan of waiting around. And they all knew if Athena tried to tell him not to help or get involved, he would go against her wishes anyway.

He would drive round the streets and look for her, he would scour the whole city if he had to. Someone just needed to point him in the right direction and off he would go, looking for his baby girl.

He needed her back.

"Just, try and stay calm Buck, please. I want you both to come with me to the security office so we can find her on the cameras and track her movements. That will tell us whether she is still in the centre, and if she is with someone. I can't imagine she'd be on her own, not willingly and not after this place has been swarming with security."

Athena wouldn't believe Minnie would willingly wander off alone, she was too young and nervous for that. And after all the announcements, the security rattling round and now the police, if Minnie was on her own they would have found her. She had to be with someone.

Evan nodded and gave (Y/n)'s hips a squeeze. This was good. They could see who they should be looking for and where they needed to check for Minnie. It had been just less than an hour since she went missing, if they were quick they could go and get her. They hoped.

"Seargent Grant?"

Athena let go of (Y/n)'s hand and turned to the side, looking at a younger officer who was trying to wave her towards him.

But (Y/n) saw what he was holding.

She ripped out of Evan's arms, stumbled past Athena and snatched the item before he could hide it from her or try to give it to Athena in secret.

"Baby, baby what is it?"

Evan pushed forward and latched his hands onto (Y/n)'s hips again so he could look over her shoulder. His lungs quaked in his chest and he couldn't breathe. Suddenly stricken at a bundle of thoughts of what it could be. Was it part of Minnie's clothing? Was it her shoe? Was it a randsom note or a picture?

It was Minnie's headband. The one with the mouse ears stitched on and a bright red, glittering bow in the centre. The one Evan had bought for her and had last seen her wearing on Friday morning. This was their way of finding her.

They would of been able to spot her in a crowd wearing these. The security cameras would pinpoint the toddler since she wore these all day. She wore them almost every day. Since Evan put them on her head Friday morning, she only took them off to get a bath and go to sleep.

She would scream if someone tried to take them off her or knocked them off. Minnie wouldn't leave them behind or go anywhere without them.

"Evan, s-she wouldn't take them off… Oh God,"

She couldn't breathe. She couldn't move. Her eyes zoned in with tunnel vision until the glittering, blood red bow was all she could see, think and imagine.

Her baby was lost somewhere, without these. That made her so much harder to spot in a crowd. She would be crying that she had lost them. She would be crying for her parents, her sisters, her aunt, her family. Something bad had happened to her and they weren't any closer to finding her.

(Y/n) held the headband so tightly the plastic started to cut into the palm of her hand. She didn't realise her knees had caved in until Evan's arms bound tight around her middle and he wrenched her into his chest before she went down to the floor.

She deadlocked the headband to her chest, binding her arms around it until the band was almost imbedded into her skin. Her head flopped forward as she began to sob but she felt like her heart was being torn out when she felt Evan's lips against the side of her head and realised he was crying too.

"She… I…"

"Where did you find them?" Evan's eyes were full of malice when they darted over to the officer stood behind Athena.

He pulled (Y/n) closer and tried to stand up, holding her tighter when her legs continued to shake and wobble. He could feel her shoulders shaking, her wheezing, croaky breaths. And when she turned her head and pressed her face into his neck, he wanted to scream. His wife shouldn't be in this state of distress, his daughter shouldn't be missing, his other girls shouldn't be frightened and traumatised.

"Where the fuck did you get them? They belong to our daughter! Where were they?!" Evan's voice rose until he was almost shouting and he could feel his voice travelling around the walls and bouncing off the glass ceiling.

Suddenly it didn't matter if the girls heard him or if he panicked the rest of his family. All Evan cared about was finding Minnie. They had to know where her headband was found.

"On the search, just outside the East exit." He pointed to their right but he shrunk back when (Y/n) all but screamed and Athena pushed him away.

"She's gone- Evan…"

Evan turned (Y/n) around in his arms, keeping his right arm around her waist while his other hand cradled the back of her head. His fingers knotted in her hair and he smothered his wet lips against her burning temple. Tears burned his face like acid rain and he started to sway them from side to side, quietly humming and shushing her.

"No, no baby she's not gone. We're gonna find her…" His eyes lifted to lock with Athena. "Bobby's not here yet, tell him to circle around."

"I will, now we need to go and check those security cameras. She clearly isn't alone which is what we want if she's out in the streets. Let's find out which direction she's gone, when they left, and who we need to be looking for."

He curled his hand and wove his fingers into (Y/n)'s hair, gently tilting her head back from his neck so he could look down at her. He brushed his fingers delicately over the side of her face and swiped his thumb across her lower lip.

"I'm gonna get Maddie and mum to take the girls home, they're scared. That way we can stay here and find Minnie, okay?"

He didn't want the girls to have to hang around in this bad situation. They didn't need to see their parents getting distressed and panicked like this. And they didn't need to watch them flutter about this place along with the police and security, trying to find Minnie. It would be easier for them and safer if they went home and tried to calm down and get settled.

That way, (Y/n), Evan and Athena could all focus their attention on Minnie without having to worry about checking on Lois and Ellie or settling Evie for a nap or calming her down.

And a miniscule piece of Evan's heart knew he needed the girls to be away from here in case they got bad news. If they found Minnie and it wasn't good. If they watched someone snatch her on the security tapes. If they couldn't get her back.

The girls couldn't witness that.

Evan could see all the bad thoughts running round in (Y/n)'s mind through her frantic eyes that couldn't stay focused on anything. She clutched the headband like it was her lifeline. When she nodded, Evan unravelled his arms from her and left her leaning into Athena so he could go back to the table all the girls in his family were sat at.

His hands found Maddie's shoulders and he leaned over the back of her chair, hovering his lips over her ear so the girls wouldn't hear.

"They found her headband outside… someone's got her. Can you take the girls home for me, if we stay and check security tapes?"

The hairs on the back of Maddie's neck started to prickle and stand on end and a fresh wave of goosebumps rose over her skin. She could feel her blood turning cold and disappearing down to her toes that were tingling and going numb in her shoes. They found her headband. She had managed to get outside before every exit of the shopping centre had been closed. They tried to lock her in but she got out somehow. Someone took her away.

She couldn't find her voice, so she settled on nodding. Her lips pressed into a thin line to stop a frown and she swallowed down her tears, she didn't want to worry the girls anymore than this.

Evan kissed her temple and moved to crouch down beside the table, resting between the chair the girls were sat on and Maddie who was sat on his right. He leaned his right arm on the table and moved his left hand to hold Lois's trembling hand in his palm.

"I want you all to go home with aunt Maddie and gran, you don't need to be here. But me and mum need to stay and get Minnie, so you need to be good for me, okay?"

Evan rolled his lips into a thin line when Lois wrapped her arms around his neck and clung to his chest, crying out in agony. It was almost as if he'd told her he was leaving for weeks instead of hours. But then again, Evan didn't know when he or (Y/n) would be able to go back home. If they didn't find Minnie soon, would he really be okay going home without her?

He would end up roaming the streets with Bobby, sending (Y/n) home to wait with the girls. Evan couldn't go home if one of his babies was missing, he wouldn't rest or sit down without her.

"Are you sure?" Maddie rested her hand on her brother's shoulder and leaned over to kiss his temple. She knew it was the right thing to do, but her heart didn't want to leave him and (Y/n) here. She wanted to stay and help search, but she knew none of the girls would settle with Margaret or Phillip. They needed her.

"Daddy, we don't wanna go without you. Can't we stay-"

"No baby girl, you can't stay with me I'm sorry. You need to go home, Maddie's gonna look after you, you'll be safe I swear." He kissed the top of her head repeatedly and moved to do the same with Ellie. "If you need us or you just wanna talk, you just call me, okay? We'll see you soon."

It took all the strength Evan had within him to pull away from his girls and take a step back so they couldn't cling to him. Their eyes stared up at him, full of pain, fear and unshed tears that were now tracing down their cheeks.

"Call me when you get them home." He looked between his mum and sister until they both nodded. He had to know when they were home or else Evan's mind would be split between panicking about Minnie and the rest of his girls. He needed them to be safe so his focus could be on Minnie.

Moving round behind the seats, Evan leaned over the pram and kissed Evie's temple. She was taking another power nap and Evan was glad. The last thing they wanted was the toddler crying and panicking too, if she could remain calm and settled then that would be a blessing for everyone.

When he approached (Y/n), his hands found her shoulders and his lips found the back of her head. When he nodded, Athena took the lead and led them towards the lift.

They had security tapes to check.

(Y/n) couldn't keep her eyes in focus. It didn't matter how hard she tried or how she scolded herself.

Minnie needs you! Look at the screen! Find your daughter in that sea of people.

All her eyes wanted to do was go down to stare at the headband tightly crumpled up against her chest. She was holding it so tightly the plastic was starting to cut through her shirt and imbed into her sternum like she wanted to tuck it into her ribcage and keep it safe with her heart. Keep it safe for Minnie.

Her forehead pressed up against Evan's razor cut jaw and she could feel herself focusing on how his fingers were feathering up and down her hip, trying to calm her down. It was doing the trick, but it was also distracting her. She was supposed to be looking through the tapes to find Minnie, but she couldn't.

She didn't want to, in fear of what she was going to find. Who would be walking away with her daughter? Why would they be taking her away?

Had they just taken her hand and walked her out of here? Had they picked her up? Did they smother her cries or pretend she was a child having a tantrum? Did Minnie go willingly or did she put up a fight and cry out for her mum who was nowhere to be found?

All the questions sent (Y/n)'s body into spasms and trembles. And when Athena pointed out the tape that showed their group going into the clothing store, (Y/n) turned away.

She didn't want to see herself letting Minnie run off. She didn't want to see her family turn their backs for one second and have Minnie snatched away from them.

She could feel Evan leaning over her left shoulder to scrutinise the tape, watching all the girls of his family split apart and wander around in pairs.

"Slow down that tape, she went missing around that time upstairs." Athena pointed to a screen on the left. At least four other officers were crowded into the room. They were going to go through each security camera in the area, one by one, tracking Minnie's movements.

"Minnie."

Evan tilted his head to the right and kissed (Y/n)'s temple, unable to bring his eyes away from the screen Athena was looking at. There was their girl, just about to dart away from his mother when she had her back turned.

"Stop!"

Evan's eyes managed to tear from the screen and look down at (Y/n) when she jolted forward. She was looking at a different screen. One of the ones on the right in the bottom corner. Her hands lunged out and patted the screen, drawing a circle with the pad of her finger around Minnie.

The security officer sat just in front of Evan was quick to pause the tape, and all eyes went to that screen.

There she was. Hidden in plain sight. Her hair, thin as the first layer of snow and straight as a ruler until it crimped at the very ends that touched her shoulders. Her hand, gripped tightly by a young woman, not too much older than (Y/n) herself.

Minnie was leaning backwards like she was trying to pull away or wanted to turn around and run back to her family. Tears were streaked down her face and her lips were parted like she was in the middle or about to burst into a sob.

They were stood in front of an exit that led out onto the street. And right there, as the frame was paused in motion, Minnie's headband was halfway down the back of her head, about to drop onto the floor.

That exit led out onto the street. It didn't lead into the multistory carpark that belonged to the shopping centre. Maybe they were walking on foot. That would slow them down; she couldn't take Minnie far on foot. She couldn't have gotten far in the hour that Minnie had been missing, if they didn't get straight into a car, that meant there was a better chance of getting her back.

"Play it slowly, frame by frame."

She dragged her out. The woman dragged Minnie out the door like she was a child having a tantrum who she was taking back home.

No one stopped her.

How could they? If (Y/n) had been passing by, she wouldn't have the courage or the nerve to stop another woman and her child. It wasn't normal to stop women when their children were having a tantrum. Even if Minnie had been screaming that she wanted her mummy or her aunt or even her sister. People passing by would presume the woman was Minnie's guardian, her aunt or her babysitter or someone familiar rather than a stranger dragging her away.

"Where's the nearest camera after that one?"

The guard pointed at the same screen but switched the video feed to the camera posted outside the exit.

The woman swooped down, hoisted Minnie up onto her hip, and walked down the street as if nothing was wrong.

"I want all cameras down that street, any shops, any traffic cameras. Centred around half past two, find out where she went after that street. This is good, we have a suspect and a direction and they're on foot, that gives us an advantage." Athena gave (Y/n)'s hand a reassuring squeeze, but (Y/n) didn't feel so relieved.

It didn't matter that it was a woman who had taken Minnie. There were thousands of derranged, twisted women in the world. That woman could have taken Minnie because she wanted a child, it could be innocent. She could have lost a child and wanted a replacement, or thought she was looking after Minnie or saving her from something.

Or she could have chosen Minnie because she wanted to hurt her. She could be doing anything to her by now.

(Y/n) wanted her baby back this very second.

"Baby- baby wait!" A growl tore from the back of Evan's throat as he set of into a sprint when (Y/n) bolted.

She flung the door open and flew out the room with her bag bashing against her waist and Minnie's headband still clutched to her chest. She was getting her back. They were going to open the shopping centre again and let people leave now they knew for certain that Minnie wasn't in here. (Y/n) was going to leave the exact same way that woman had and try to find her. She didn't know how and she didn't care, she just wanted to find her.

Evan's hands curled into fists at his sides and he could feel Athena hot on his heels as they darted out of the room and down the corridor to the left.

His heart jumped into his throat when he watched (Y/n)'s foot slip on the top step and he cringed, biting down on his tongue at the thought of her falling down. But she regained her balance and stumbled down the stairs two at a time, flinging herself around the corner to propell down the second flight and get down to the ground floor.

All the air got caught at the back of (Y/n)'s throat when she stumbled onto the ground floor and felt a hand curl around her upper arm. She tripped, sliding back on her heel until her shoulders crashed into a tense, hard chest and a familiar set of strong arms bound around her waist.

"Baby," Evan rasped into her hair, his voice deep and guttural as he breathed harshly against the top of her head. "Take a breath. We don't know which way she went after that road, and that was nearly an hour ago."

When (Y/n) tried to break out of his arms, Evan tightened them around her and pulled her back. He moulded his chest over her back and leaned forward, smothering his face against her neck. But he lifted his eyes to look across when Athena stood in front of them.

"We have people checking cameras, honey. Let's wait and see what they find and where she went-"

"I can't- I can't wait here," (Y/n) tilted her head back onto Evan's shoulder and looked up at him with those big, pleading eyes that made his stomach flip and sent his heart reeling. He would do anything she asked when she looked at him like that and they both knew it. "Evan… we need to look for her, she was crying."

Biting down on his lower lip, Evan looked from his wife to his mother in law. "Could we do a drive round? If Minnie lost her headband, maybe, fuck… maybe she lost a shoe or something? We can at least look, can't we?"

It was possible.

Minnie wasn't old enough to know about leaving items behind like a trail of breadcrumbs for people to find her. But if she was struggling, what's to say that she didn't lose a shoe? Or they could still be wandering the streets, trying to get away from the police that would be scattered round looking for them.

A drive round couldn't hurt, it would keep them busy and out of trouble and occupy their minds. (Y/n) and Evan couldn't wait around here doing nothing and they couldn't sit at the police station either and wait for news. It would drive them both insane.

"Okay. But I'll drive you."

***

Leaning to the left, (Y/n) slumped her head on Evan's shoulder. She felt unbelievably tired. Her eyes were aching and yearning to get some rest, her stomach felt heavy and her heart had turned to a stone, thudding and bashing against her ribs until her chest was going to collapse.

But she couldn't close her eyes. What if she missed something? What if when she closed her eyes, they passed by Minnie or something that belonged to her, or a clue?

They had been driving for almost half an hour now, and (Y/n) was losing momentum and the will to be in the car. It wasn't as bad as waiting at the station, but being confined in here, not able to do anything to or for Minnie, was just as bad.

Every now and then, Athena was getting updates from the security cameras and from tips people were calling in to the station.

People had seen a woman carrying a crying toddler. Someone had said they saw a woman in a corner shop whose child was crying for their mummy and that only made (Y/n) breakdown all over again.

Athena had driven down the route they knew for certain the woman and Minnie had walked when they left the shopping centre. But now they were driving around slowly, cruising the streets for clues, to pass the time, to wait until someone called in with another sighting.

And Bobby was driving round too. He had been driving for over an hour, going in circles, passing the same streets, going past the shopping centre at least ten times. Waiting for a sighting of his little granddaughter.

*Any news??? XX

Evan looked down at his phone but his eyes were glossy and cracked like marbles and his face was void of any expression. He had no update to give his sister. His mum. His daughters. Nothing of interest, nothing that would give them any sense of hope.

*Nothing yet. Driving round to find her, a woman carried her out the shopping centre. XX

"Why take her?"

Looking down, Evan pursed his lips and looped his right arm around (Y/n)'s shoulders. He let her head slump off his shoulder and down onto his chest and he smothered his lips into her hair when she bound her arms around his torso. She finally let go of the headband, but only to place it delicately on Evan's knee.

The band weighed down on Evan like a ton of bricks had crushed down on his leg. He could feel it burning, melting into his skin and it made his lungs ache like he had breathed in poisonus gas.

"She wasn't in danger, she wasn't wandering… or lost, and I, I'm not a bad mum-"

"I don't know why, baby. But we're getting her back safe." Evan couldn't go down that road. Not yet.

He couldn't bear to imagine what had gone through that woman's mind to make her snatch his daughter like this.

Minnie hadn't been in danger or wandering alone without her family, she had been less than twenty feet from her grandma when that woman took her. She wasn't in danger of being run over or hurt or snatched by anyone else. Minnie wasn't an unloved child, lost and forgotten or abused by her family. And (Y/n) wasn't a neglectful mother.

There was no tangible reason to take Minnie, no explanation or reasoning that could explain what this woman had done to them today.

When her phone began to ring, Athena swiped across and put it on speaker. "Bobby, whereabouts are you, love?" He had been calling every now and then to say where he had checked and whereabouts he was going next so they didn't go down the same streets together, they needed to canvas a wider area.

"Down fifty-seventh street… I've spotted her."

"Where is she? Is she okay?!" (Y/n) surged forward and latched her hands around the passenger seat in front of her while she felt Evan's hand slide down to her lower back. He sat up straighter, more alert beside her as they all waited for Bobby to respond.

Athena turned on her siren and lights and started to speed up. They were only two minutes away from that street.

"I swear it was her, with a young woman. They got into a taxi but he won't pull over so I'm following him. If you head up the top end of the street you can cut them off."

Bobby wasn't an officer, he wasn't in a police car or the fire station truck of the ambulance. Flashing his headlights was only annoying and probably panicking the taxi driver in front of him. And Bobby couldn't overtake and cut them off with oncoming traffic and the taxi speeding up to get away from him.

He knew it was Minnie. He watched a woman bundle a crying toddler into the back of the taxi and he just knew. He wasn't quick enough to stop them before the car drove off, so he did the next best thing and sped after them.

"We're on our way. This is 7-2-7-L-30, in pursuit we have a sighting of Minnie Buckley in a taxi on fifty-seventh street, back up required."

Athena could see and hear Evan tapping his knuckles against the window out of anxious habit. His hand was curled into a tight fist and if he applied pressure, he might just break the window.

"You both need to stay in the car until I can make sure it's Minnie and get her out safely. Do you understand me?"

With a deep breath, (Y/n) looked up at Evan and she knew. She just knew by that look in his eyes. She didn't want to wait in here and he wasn't going to sit back and wait. The moment Athena stopped the car, Evan would bolt. He would go and get their daughter back because this had been a day from Hell and he couldn't have anything happen to her. He couldn't have his daughter hurt or scarred for life by this. He had to have her back in his arms.

The couple braced themselves on the front seats when Athena swerved to the left and blocked off the end of the street. She put the door locks on and climbed out the car, effectively locking her children in the back of the car so they couldn't cause a scene.

"Evan-"

"She's not locking me in here. I'll go get her, baby."

(Y/n) leaned to the right and deadlocked her arms around her chest when Evan pushed forward. He swung his long legs between the front seats, thankful Athena didn't have a barrier in between the back and front of this car. He clambered roughly into the drivers seat and stumbled out into the street. He wasn't waiting, not when his daughter needed him.

"LAPD, turn off the engine and step out of the car." Athena held her gun low at her thigh and tapped her free hand on the driver's window. She could see Bobby's car parked across the road to block the taxi in so there was no escape. Though they both doubted the taxi driver was in on this or would help a kidnapper escape.

When the driver complied and slowly stepped out of the car, Athena pointed to the pavement. "Stand over here please."

Evan held his breath deep in his lungs and walked at a distance from Athena, whose back was turned to him. He didn't want to get her into trouble but he didn't want her to stop him either. He just wanted his baby girl.

His eyes darted to the right and for a split second, he watched Bobby get out of his car. But then Evan's eyes went to the back door of the taxi.

A woman climbed out.

A young woman, younger than Evan, at least. She had shoulder-length black hair and a fringe that almost reached her eyes that were rabid like a wild animal caught in a snare. But when she reached down and grabbed the hand of a little girl who scurried out the taxi, Evan saw red.

A purple dress with flowers. Plain white tights that were now ripped and black around the knees. Red shoes that were lathered in mud and about to drop off her little feet. That pencil-straight hair that was so thin if it had been blonde, she would of looked bald.

Those big doe eyes made Evan see red. His baby girl. That was his daughter, and she was trying to take her away from him.

The woman began to run. She hurried as fast as she could to the pavement, dragging Minnie with her who kept falling and scuffing along the road, unable to keep up and she clearly didn't want to either. She wanted to stop, she wanted to go home. She was lost, on a street she didn't know with a strange woman and she was hurt. She wanted to go home.

A blood-curdling cry left Minnie's lips as she moved her free hand to her mouth and began to sob. Her eyes scrunched up tight as tears stained her face and her feet bent and scuffed along the pavement.

Why was she being dragged around? Where was her mummy? Why had this lady taken her away from the shops? Why did none of her family follow or meet them outside like the woman said they would?

"Minnie!"

"Buck don't you dare!"

Evan broke out into a sprint, ignoring Athena's warning and moving faster when he saw Bobby aiming for him or Minnie, he couldn't be sure. But he wanted to get to her first. It was like a race, a competition, and Evan needed to win. He had to.

When Minnie stumbled, she flopped onto her already bruised and bloodied knees that had cut open when she fell just outside the shopping centre. Her hands scraped the floor and she let out a belting scream, curling up on herself in case the woman grabbed at her again.

Lunging forward, Evan crossed onto the pavement just as the woman either went to grab Minnie by the arm or the hair, he couldn't be sure. She looked panicked and frightened enough to grab her by her hair and haul her up if it would get them away from here any quicker.

"Touch my daughter again and I'll break your arm!" He caught her wrist mid-air, a split second before she could reach his little girl.

He could feel his boots touching Minnie's side, he was standing that close to her and his towering frame cast her in a protective shadow. But his eyes, oh his eyes seared holes right through the woman stood in front of him. His fingers clenched around her wrist until she was whimpering and shaking and he knew he was going to bruise her skin. If he clenched just a little more, he might even break a tendon or a bone.

He was desperate to. Evan wanted to crush her wrist into dust. He wanted to throw her down to the floor and scream at her. He wanted her to see the agony she had put all his girls through today.

To see what she had done to Evan's wife, how she had traumatised all his children and how petrified she had made Minnie by doing all of this.

When Evan let go of her wrist, an overwhelming wave of protection flooded through him like a tsunami. And before the woman could move an inch, Evan doubled over and grabbed his daughter.

He scooped Minnie up as she screamed, uncertain who it was that now had hold of her. But the moment she was nestled into that comforting chest and smelled that mixture of cologne and smoke, she simmered down into quiet cries and whimpers. Her arms bound around Evan's neck and she nuzzled her face into his skin as he peppered her temple and cheeks with kisses.

"Oh baby… it's okay, you're safe now. Me and mummy are here, we've got you little mouse."

Evan bounced her up and down against his chest, quietly shushing against her temple as he turned his back to the taxi and the woman who was now being detained by Athena.

"Mummy?"

"Yeah, mummy's here too baby, and nan and pops. We've been looking all over for you." He moved his hand up to cradle the back of her head and tangled his fingers through her thin hair. He didn't get two steps towards the police car before (Y/n) was clambering out of the open driver's side door and pelting across the road towards them.

"Mummy," Minnie sniffed and went off into another round of crying as Evan carefully lowered her down into (Y/n)'s arms.

As soon as Minnie was in her arms, (Y/n) closed her eyes and went down on her knees. Evan thought for a moment that she had collapsed or even fainted with relief, but she hadn't. She didn't have the strength to hold herself up any longer.

She tucked her face into Minnie's neck and started to rock back and forth, cuddling her close as if this was the last time she was ever going to see her.

A shiver rolled down (Y/n)'s spine when she felt Evan kneeling behind her. His knees pressed up into her leg and his chest curved around her, pulling her back into his chest so he could wind his arms around both her and Minnie.

"Are you okay baby, are you hurt?" (Y/n) brushed her sleeve beneath her eyes to clear her vision before she gently stood Minnie up in front of her and Evan so they could look at her properly.

She stuffed her thumb into her mouth and sniffed, letting them both reach out for her and check her for any injuries. When (Y/n) gently took both her hands and looked at them, she began to whimper. There were grazes along her palms, nothing major or deep but for a toddler, it would sting and distress her.

Evan carefully reached out for her left leg when he noticed she was leaning her weight on her right foot rather than balancing between the two. He didn't want to take her shoes off here and now in the street to assess her, but he figured it was either her foot or her ankle that was causing her pain when she flinched away from his touch.

And the cuts on her knees were clear as day. Her previously bleached white tights had large holes ripped through them with loose threads hanging loose around the sides. Blood was soaked into the fabric of her left knee which was cut open and her right knee wasn't much better, grazed and scuffed, lightly bleeding.

"Oh, little mouse."

Minnie whimpered again and pushed forward until she could flop against Evan's chest and shimmy until he lifted her up off her aching feet.

He held her as close and as tightly as he dared without smothering her, looped his left arm around (Y/n), and slowly rose to his feet. He kissed the top of (Y/n)'s head when she bound her arms around his torso and tucked herself beneath his arm.

She was okay. They had her back. Athena was arresting the woman and she would find out why she had decided to take Minnie and what she thought she was going to do with her. Bobby was beckoning them over to him as he leaned up against the bonnet of his car, arms folded tightly over his chest. But the relief was evident on his face.

"Come on, let's get you home."

Honestly Best thing I’ve ever read ngl!😍

❣️!Love to hate you!❣️

❣️!Love To Hate You!❣️

Pairing: kylian mbappe X fem OC (Cherrie)

Word count : 6.2k

Warnings : kylian and Cherrie being mean little bitches to each other. (With love though). Love/hate. Mostly fluff . Enjoy xoxo

The players stood gathered in a close circle by the edge of the pitch as they all looked over to the tunnel with various expressions on their faces .

Some of amusement , a little bit of worry but mostly exasperation as they watched kylian lean against the wall beside the tunnel with a face full of thunder as he looked down at his watch impatiently .

Neymar was the first one to break the uneasy silence that had settled between them as they all waited for the real shit show to began. It was surprisingly off schedule today as usually they would arrive to the pitch to the drama already having begun.

But a certain someone was late.

And with each minute that passed with no sign of Cherrie appearing , kylian's face grew more and more pinched .

He was seconds away from starting to tap his foot like a pissed off parent too.

"Do you think it's ever going to stop?" Neymar mused as he leant his elbow against lionel's shoulder , ignore the look his friend gave him as he put all his weight onto his side.

Both Ramos and achraf pursed their lips and simply looked over at him like he had said something stupid.

Even Lionel snorted . Shaking his head like a disapproving father would.

"Is that a no then?" He asked again just to be sure. Grinning when they all rolled their eyes at him.

Ramos let out out a amused laugh , grinning to himself as they all watched the woman of the hour slowly start to appear from the end of the tunnel.

They could see her dragging her feet with sunglasses over her face , hesitantly peering around the corner as though she was about to face a fire breathing dragon.

She wasn't far off. Because the minute kylian clocked her arriving out of the corner of his eye, he almost starting breathing steam from his ears as he huffed and pushed himself off the wall quickly .

Stomping over there till he was stood in front of the tunnel with his arms crossed tightly over his chest, a cold glare already being levelled in her direction.

It was no secret to anyone that the two players just didn't seem to get on.

No matter how many team bonding exercises that they had been forced to participate in , each one had ended with the both of them in a screaming match while their friends had to rush over and physically separate them to stop a crime from taking place .

Both of them would be pointing fingers at the other in blame , refusing to admit which one of them had started it this time .

Although it didn't really matter who started it because the argument never seemed to fucking end.

Their friends had begun to understand the phrase of 'never go to bed angry with your partner' because they realised that it was applied to the pitch too.

Because when Cherrie and kylian left the match angry at each other , it wouldn't just be left at that. The bitterness and anger would then be dragged into the next day , and the next and the next .

They no longer argued about anything that made sense either .

At the beginning most of their fighting had been because of the fact that Cherrie was very close friends with Erling haaland.

And for some reason , kylian, had stupidly just expected her to let her friendship with his rival fade to nothing when she had arrived at psg as the newest player on their team.

But she hadn't because she simply told him that she didn't give a shit about how he felt about haaland , he was her friend , not his, she wasn't doing anything wrong and she wasn't about to lose a decades worth of friendship to soothe kylian's pride! No fucking way.

It had all went rapidly down hill after that.

With kylian deeming her a traitor and accusing her of probably telling Erling all of their tactics like a two faced snake .

Lionel had to physically grab a hold of Cherrie before she tried to de-kneecap their star player .

They had quickly learned that day that Cherrie had a mouth of a sailor and tongue like a fucking razor when she was upset .

Because the curses and insults that had started flying out of her mouth towards the player were... honestly , very impressive and more than a little scary.

She wasn't afraid to get up in his face and dish back what he spat out.

If kylian 'accidentally' tackled her during training , Then she 'accidentally' kicked him in the balls with the studded heel of  her boot facing up.

Things got ridiculously petty , incredibly fast.

Although it brought some amusement to their friends to see the both of them constantly competing against each other , even though they were on the same team.

Several times their coach and their team had warned the two Young players that they needed to put their differences aside and become a United front. That they needed to stop being so prideful and become friends.

Both of them had apparently went deaf during that meeting because not even the next day they had all stood back and watched in disbelief as they started rolling around on the pitch fighting together , kicking at each other and cursing each other out like little kids after kylian had once again 'accidentally' took the ball from her .

The ball had became long forgotten when Cherrie had tackled him to the floor and put kylian in a headlock. Leaving their teammates to rush over and tried to separate them.

His friend , achraf, had been in disbelief as he watched his best friend refuse to stop winding her up even when he was being choked out.

'Is that the best you got snake?!' He had merely hissed back at her as he threw his body back so the both went sprawling back onto the pitch , Cherrie still refused to let his head go even as the referee had been blowing his whistle above them like a mad man.

In the end the both of them had been red carded and sent off the pitch like naughty school kids . The two of them still pushing and shoving at each other's body as they stormed off , still insulting each other childishly . Not caring that their manager looked like he wanted to kill them.

And it hasn't gotten much better after that.

Only their friends found it more than a little strange how that despite kylian's constant vocal 'hatred.' Of Cherrie , he couldn't seem to leave her alone!

Lionel had been the first one to point it out . After Watching kylian lean forward in his seat once Cherrie had been sent off the pitch with an injury from a particularly nasty tackle .

Kylian hasn't been playing that match but Lionel had felt like he had been from the constant shouting and personal refereeing he was doing from beside him.

Every time that Cherrie had the ball , kylian would be muttering something about how she wasn't doing it up to his standard .

Like 'she was too slow on that tackle' or his favourite 'she should have just taken the shot!' Even though she was not even halfway close to the goal.

Yet when they had watched the other team start to target Cherrie and get more careless and dirty with their tackles .

Kylian had turned into a mega motormouth.

He had started cursing out every single player that even so much as nudged her . Snapping insults about the player that had absolutely nothing to do with football at all.

Lionel had then noticed the way that kylian had been unable to sit still after she had gotten injured, growing more antsy when she refused to be pulled out of the game. Determined that she could play on.

Kylian had been huffing and puffing beside him like a concerned mother hen.

"She's lost her mind!" He had exclaimed as he glared down at the pitch to where she was stumbling along.

He then turned to him with a scowl "you see what I mean? She does stupid things! She's going to hurt herself even more! And it's her birthday soon. Does she want to party with a limp?!" He sounded far too concerned for someone that apparently hated her guts.

Lionel had tried to calm him down. Aware of the cameras panning in the direction for their reaction.

"She'll be okay. She's strong." He had simply told him.

Only for his eyes to widen in surprise when kylian snapped his head over to him quickly , pulling a face like he was the stupid one.

Scoffing loudly "she's just pretends to be! She won't admit that somethings wrong. She could literally be bleeding from her eyes and she would tell us that it was just 'a headache' and that it's 'no big deal!" He mocked her girly voice , imitating her childishly while scowling with his arms crossed over his chest as he waited for her to be substituted out.

Lionel couldn't help but grin a little at the clear worry that was written across the young players face as he realised then that perhaps kylian didn't hate her as much as he liked to make out.

Realising that it might have been the green little bug of jealously that was making him act so sour towards her.

Because he was certain then that if Cherrie hadn't had been such close friends with haaland, that their relationship would have been completely different.

He could even faintly remember from a couple of years ago when he had spotted kylian watching a video of her that a fan had made with a smile on his face and his eyes glued to her in awe.

At the time Lionel had teased him lightly "you like her? She's very pretty and a great player." He had said .

unaware that two years later that exact same girl would been joining their team and completely changing kylian's life.

Kylian had just bashfully chuckled and shrugged his shoulders a little sheepishly as he angled his phone towards him so he could show him a clip of Cherrie bicycling the ball into the back of the net.

"I thinks she going to become a top player. Everybody seems to love her too.." he had sighed a little like a boy with a crush.

“It's like watching a supermodel play football. No doubt she already has a boyfriend." He had muttered enviously .

Lionel had just patted him on the shoulder encouragingly and said a "you never know what will happen."  before leaving him to it.

He couldn't have been more right if he tried.

Because he hadn't expected kylian to suddenly decide to hate her guts when he finally had his chance to know her either . Who would have?

Instead he was stuck watching kylian pretend that he didn't care at all while his actions showed the exact opposite .

He said one thing but did another . Lionel thought amusedly as he watched kylian lean forward in his seat as Cherrie finally hobbled her way over to the bench.

Immediately she looked kylian in the eye and scowled .

“I don't want to hear it!" She warned him already knowing what he was thinking.

Kylian scoffed at her, unimpressed as his eyes flickered down to her swelling ankle with a glare.

Only Lionel could see the way his hand was clenching and unclenching on his lap anxiously as though he wanted to reach out and help her.

Instead he snapped at her "that was incredibly stupid! You should have come straight off! Did that tackle make you lose what little brain cells you have left as well?!" His voice rose angrily .

Cherrie just flipped him off as she went up to the seats behind them, picking the one that was furthest away from his.

Pulling off her shoe she flung it to the side with a wince . Then she pulled off her shin guard and rolled off her sock, assessing her throbbing foot.

Waving off the medic who had came over with a Frown.

“just need some painkillers and it will be fine." She had muttered stubbornly .

Swallowing the pills dry when the medic had handed her them before reluctantly leaving her be when she refused to let them help anymore.

Kylian finally had enough and abruptly got to his feet . Not uttering a word to either of them as he stomped out of view .

Leaving Cherrie to scoff to herself, pouting a little as she sunk back into her seat to get comfortable for the rest of the game that was left to watch.

"He's ridiculous. You would think that I deliberately made that player tackle me with the way he's acting."  She huffed .

Lionel looked over at her with a slight frown, shaking his head at her.

"You must admit you're a little stubborn . You shouldn't have kept playing. You know better than that. “ He scolded her lightly , being the only person that she would let do so.

She respected him too much to be upset .

Instead she just sighed and pursed her lips "maybe." Was all she muttered before kylian finally came back into view.

This Time he had a large flexible ice pack in his hand as well as a bandage . Jumping over his seat till he reached Cherrie side, the scowl never leaving his face as he sat down beside her.

"Stupid idiot." He snapped at her again as he grabbed her leg and swung her foot up into his lap without any warning making her Yelp.

She slapped at his shoulder with a glare "don't manhandle me like that kylian!" She threw at him angrily . Yet she didn't move her leg and instead settled back into a more comfortable position , still pouting like a child.

Kylian just huffed moodily as he placed the ice pack around her swollen ankle and started to wrap the bandage around it to keep it in place .

"It's going to hurt even worse tomorrow Cherrie! It's what you get for being such a stubborn lunatic! Do you ever think right?!" He shot back at her .

Not noticing the way Lionel was watching him fret over her ankle and insult her at the same time.

Watching as kylian started gently massaging her legs on his lap, even the uninjured one. Still glaring at her furiously.

That was some serious multitasking. Lionel was almost impressed by his stubbornness to keep up his 'I hate you' act like this. When it was so clear to him that it was the exact opposite .

Cherrie just groaned and threw her head back against the seat, closing her eyes as though if she couldn't see him then she couldn't hear him either.

Seeing what she was doing, kylian pinched her thigh making her gasp and glare at him again.

"How are you going to get up the stairs at home? I told you it was a bad idea to get a place with so many fucking stairs!" He scolded her , looking over at her questionably .

She just rolled her eyes at him as though she was used to hearing him complain about her house.

Lionel was taken a back. Eyes widening a little as he tried to keep discreetly eavesdropping .

How did kylian know what the inside of her house looked like? As far as he and their friends knew, the two of them had never even locked eyes once the game was over.

Were they missing something? He felt like it was something pretty crucial as he watched Cherrie pull off kylian's hat and place it on top of her head, the player not even doing anything about it.

Instead kylian then took off his scarf and wrapped that around her too.

What the fuck? Lionel couldn't believe what he was witnessing.

"Like your apartment is any better?" She had shot back at him . "It's top floor!"

Kylian pulled a face "it has an elevator dumbo!"

"You know I'm scared of elevators kylian! They're death traps!" She exclaimed .

Kylian was the one to groan this time as he gently pushed her legs off of him and got to his feet just as the whistle was blew for the end of the game.

Not taking his eyes from her as he carefully pulled Cherrie to her feet as well.

"You're going to have to get over it because I'm not dragging you up two flights of stairs till you recover . We'll be using my elevator because that's the smart thing to do..." he then wrapped her arm around his shoulder and swung his other arm around her waist as he began to lead her towards the exit.

"Don't even try to argue with me cherrie! You have no say in this! This is your punishment for being a stupid idiot!" Lionel heard kylian snap at her as they passed him.

Neither noticing the gobsmacked look on his face as he watched how easily Cherrie leaned into his side despite the stubborn scowl on her face .

"You can't tell me what to do! I'm going home!"

"Yeah , with me! Now shut up because your annoying ass voice is giving me a headache ..." kylian insulted her as they turned the corner to exit the tunnel.

There was silence for a moment before Lionel heard kylian mutter a  "you want pasta tonight? I bought the labyrinth for us to watch as well. Thought I might as well watch it seeing as you won't fucking shut your big mouth up about how good it is-"

He didn't catch the rest as they disappeared together through the exit door.

And it was that night that he realised that kylian and Cherrie weren't enemies at all.

Because what kind of enemies slept over at each other's place and had movie nights together?

And as they all stood watching them still bickering at each other , four months since Lionel had realised something was going on. They still just couldn't get it at all.

"Are you sure you didn't hallucinate the whole thing Lionel? Cause they don't look close like that at all!" Ramos frowned over at him judgementally .

Not believing him at all.

Lionel just scoffed at him, rolling his eyes, hard.

"I'm going to just ignore the fact that you're hinting at me going crazy Ramos." He said to him , deciding to be the bigger man.

Ironically.

"I'm telling you. He's in love with her , I don't know if Cherrie loves him too because she's a little harder to read-" he grimaced a little as they watched Cherrie slap the back of kylian's head with her hand when he asked her if she had suddenly forgotten how to tell the time .

"I slept in! And the roads are more confusing from Sarah's house! I got a little lost!" She tried to defend herself as she grabbed a ball and started to warm up .

Kylian quickly following her as they started passing the ball between them casually.

He bounced it on his knee a couple of times "I can see how you could get lost.." he nodded mockingly before kicking the ball at her , aiming for her head.

"If you closed your eyes! It's a straight fucking road here from your best friends house Cherrie!"

She dodged the ball and instead started dribbling it around the cones that were set out. Kylian jogging beside her as they took turns passing it around the obstacles .

Rolling her eyes at him with a pissy huff , clearly still hungover over from having girls night with her friend.

They had went from laughing over wine to taking vodka shots and crying over the latest romcom.

Then she had woken up in a bathtub hugging a pillow with Taylor swift’s face on it.

Which unfortunately wasn’t the first time this had happened.

Though it never made it any easier to handle in the morning when her head felt like a drum that was being slammed on.

"It's not that straight of a road If you go in the wrong direction dickhead!" She shot back at him. Annoyed that he was constantly taking shots at her terrible driving.

So she had gotten lost a few times while driving? It happened to everyone at least once.

It just happened to happen more frequently to her. That was all.

Kylian snorted , smirking as he shook his head .

"You look like you've been dug up from your own grave Cher. Hope you have some heavy makeup to cover up the hangover." He snickered as he flicked her forehead .

Before quickly Ducking to avoid the ball to his face .

"I'm still hot even if my brain is trying to fall out from my ears. You're just jealous that I look like this even on my bad days!" She arrogantly smirked as they came to a stop just as their coach told them to take a break.

"What? Ugly?" He grinned. Laughing as she kicked him. Shoving at his side as he tried to pull her into a side hug. "I'm kidding! You don't need that shit."

He pulled her over to the bench where his bag was, pulling out a bottle of water and handing it to her with a stern expression on his face.

"Drink that you alcoholic . You need to look like you haven't been inhaling booze all night. Was it wine?" He guessed as he held the water bottle up to her mouth, not pulling his hand away till she had started drinking it .

Neither of them noticing their friends gaping at their interaction from the middle of the pitch.

"Are you seeing this? Is kylian actually laughing and smiling at her?" Ramos couldn't believe it.

Neymar was blinking at them in disbelief "but he's calling her stupid all of the time!"

Lionel had a knowing smile on his lips as he looked smugly at them. Knowing that he had been right all along.

"Some people show love by bullying each other. Has kylian ever let anybody else other than him say a bad word about her?" He rose a brow slyly.

They all shook their head.

Ramos even grimaced.

"I made a joke once that she could make a nun swear with how annoying she is.." he inhaled deeply preparing himself to recall that awful day.

"-and kylian had me benched for three games. Coach told me that he 'recommended it' it to him an hour after I said that joke to her." He muttered. Still a little pissy about it.

There were some laughs between the players .

Neymar then piped up with his own memory.

“I tried to ask her on a date a couple of times but every time I tried to ask her , he would trip me up. Literally come out of nowhere and kick my leg out from underneath me!" He exclaimed as he realised that perhaps kylian wasn't just joking around with him.

That he had actually been jealous and made sure that he had absolutely no chance with her.

Lionel grinned "see? Only he can insult her. And only Cherrie can do the same to him. What did she do when neymar told kylian that he was a shit player with his left foot?" He pressed knowingly .

Neymar's  frown deepened as the rest snickered at the reminder of that day.

“She then shoved me and told me to keep my feet planted on the floor unless I wanted to lose my pretty face." He grumbled .

Lionel then looked a Ramos who was already scowling , knowing what he was about to say next.

"And what about you huh? What did she do when you called kylian an asshole?"

Ramos sighed in defeat "she stole all my clothes while I was in the shower so I had to leave the stadium in a tiny towel.."

Then all their eyes averted back to the two young players that they had been convinced hated each other all this time.

Kylian was pulling at her hair as she slapped at his hands to get him to stop.

He only let go when she threatened to call his mother.

"I'm gonna go blonde again." He told her seriously as he then passed her a protein bar once she was done with the water.

It was a chocolate and raspberry one, her favourite. She refused to eat them unless they were covered in chocolate . So he had bought the whole box of them and always had one in his bag for her during training, knowing how she always forgot to bring one.

Cherries face lit up, gasping a little as she slapped his excitedly.

"Can I do it? I've still got some bleach left at home!" She pleaded to him. Having fancied herself a hairdresser to all of her friends .

Kylian pulled a face as he jokingly eyed her messy hair that was placed in a sloppy ponytail ontop of her head. He could still see the odd pink streak from where she had dyed it last time.

He had suggested she colour it blue .

So she did what was expected and went pink instead .

"The last time I watched you dye your hair you looked like someone has threw up a fucked up rainbow on you! It was a mess for weeks Cherrie! You were crying!" He recalled with a amused tone of voice .

Cherrie scowled "that was a ... slight mistake yes. But I fixed it and I looked great!" She defended her skills quickly .

Kylian looked at her with wide eyes "you had to cut off half off it! You complained the whole time!" He knew she did because he was the one who had to cut it for her .

"Whatever . You'll look stupid anyways.." she lied as she turned away from him grumpily . Not happy that she wasn't getting her own way.

Kylian smirked to himself , chuckling as he grabbed onto her elbow and spun her around to face him again.

Leaning his face down closer to hers , he gently nudged her nose with his.

“So stupid that you wouldn't let me leave your bed for the whole weekend the last time I dyed it?" He reminded her smugly .

Pinching her bottom between his fingers quickly , making her hiss between her teeth at him , startled.

Rolling her eyes at his cocky face , she huffed. "I don't know what you're talking about. You're loca." She denied him as she tried to pull away.

Kylian just laughed and bent his head down , kissing her square on the mouth in front of everyone without a care in the world .

Too lost in each other to notice the gaping mouths of their teammates as the pitch filled with shocked gasps at the sight of the two players who were always fighting , now kissing each other.

Only Lionel was grinning triumphantly , looking between his friends smugly . Unsurprised.

"Told you they're in love. They just love to hate each other. It's just another game they're playing." He chuckled as he watched kylian try to pull her back in for another kiss again, only for Cherrie knock out his knee from below him so he went tumbling down to the ground instead.

Cackling to herself as she gently kicked him in the butt before blowing him a kiss and jogging away.

Leaving kylian to lay on his back and let out a long and hard sigh.

Turning his head and finally noticing his teammates's shocked expressions , he simply grinned like a lovesick idiot.

"That's my future wife! She's fucking crazy!" He laughed to himself as he pushed himself back up to his feet and cupped his hands around his mouth so his voice would echo.

"je t'aime vous femme folle! N'oubliez pas de porter la robe rouge ce soir!" He shouted over to her.

(I love you you crazy woman! Don't forget to wear the red dress tonight!)

Cherrie just stuck up her middle finger over her shoulder and yelled back "va te faire foutre je porte la robe noire maintenant!" While grinning cheekily.

(Fuck you! I’m wearing the black dress now!)

Kylian shook his head at her , placing his hands on his hips with a frown.

"dites-le maintenant!"

(Say it back now!)

Cherrie giggled as she shook her head no "je ne mentirai pas!" I won't lie she joked .

Before taking one look at kylian's face and hauling her ass across the pitch with a loud laugh as he started sprinting after her.

"dis moi que tu m'aimes! sinon pas de film ce soir !" He threatened her as he tackled her down to the floor , wrapping his arms around her chest and locking his legs around her hips as he pulled her back against his chest tightly .

(Say you love me otherwise no movie tonight!)

Using his free handle to tickle her , laughing as she started shrieking and trying to wiggle away.

Paying no mind to their gobsmacked friends who looked like they were watching pigs fly in front of them.

Instead his eyes never left cherrie's, beaming down at her when she finally huffed and threw her head back against his shoulder so she could meet his eyes .

Gently kissing his jaw with a soft smile , she then jokingly bit at his chin to make him laugh again.

"je t'aime connard ! pouvons-nous regarder le match de la ville à la place ? mon joueur préféré est debout ce soir..." she bit down on her bottom lip mischievously as she watched his face fall flat .

Pursing his lips with a huff through his nose before he threw her off his lap , slapping her butt hard as she cackled like a mad woman on the pitch Next to him.

(I love you asshole! But can we watch the city match instead? My favourite player is up tonight..."

"I change my mind! I don't love you anymore!" He declared . Getting to his feet and kicking her ass with his foot one more time before stomping off.

Leaving Cherrie to giggle to herself as she quickly ran after him and threw herself onto his back. Wrapping her arms around his neck as he automatically grabbed the back of her thighs so she wouldn't fall off.

Pressing her cheek against his own as he side eyed her with a raise of his brow . His smile threatening to break through the longer she grinned at him cheekily.

"Only kidding . I'm my favourite player Ky. How does teenager ninja turtles sound?" She said instead.

Kylian rolled his eyes , laughing despite himself as he started heading  over to their friends.

"Fuck you. It's a good job you're pretty because you need to work on your personality some more!"

Cherrie slapped his head making him laugh "ass!"

Then she smiled at their friends when they stopped in front of them. Looking at their wide eyes and gaping mouths , she tilted her head at them curiously.

"Hey guys! What's got you guys looking like you just saw god?" She inquired not bothering to get down from his back. Far too lazy to stand and kylian was more than content in holding her.

Ramos looked between them blankly .

“You're kidding right?" He said.

Kylian frowned "what do you mean? What's wrong?" He played innocent . Chuckling at the looks that they were giving them.

Neymar gasped "what's wrong?! What's wrong is that we thought you guys hated each other!" He exclaimed as he wondered how they had missed the signs .

But to be fair to them they did act like they were going to kill each other half the time!

Lionel cleared his throat and sent them all a pointed look. "I am not included in that 'we' . I told you all ages ago but you didn't believe me!" He shot at them smugly .

He was always right .

The pair of them just casually shrugged as though they had no clue what they were on about .

Kylian smiled in amusement as he kissed her arm that was wrapped around his neck. Seeing the thin gold bracelet with his initials on around her wrist.

He kissed that too.

"I don't hate her she just annoys the life out of me sometimes. Plus we made up months ago and started over.." he informed them casually .

Cherrie pinched his cheek with a yawn. "Feels mutual asshole." She then looked over at the group with a frown. "I thought you guys knew?"

Ramos couldn't have scoffed any louder if he tried .

Blinking at her like she has grown a third head. "Obviously not! You two are permanently insulting each other ! That doesn't scream 'we're in love!' Oh my god!" He shook his head rapidly once he saw the matching smirks on their faces .

"You know what? You two weird fuckers deserve each other because you're both insane . That's the only explanation!" He exclaimed absolutely done with their shit.

"Most people who are in love hold each others hands or hug or .. smile at each other! They're at least nice to each other!" Neymar gaped at them.

Cherrie grinned "I am nice to him .. when we get home! What do you want me to do? Fuck him on the pitch?" She joked as she leant forward And kissed kylian's cheek happily.

Kylian laughed as he wiggled his brows at her cheekily.

Ramos looked at them like they were insane. "You could at least be nice to each other when you're not at home as well!" He said , baffled by how their relationship worked.

Both of them pulled a face like he was the one who had suggested something stupid.

"Why would we do that?" Kylian sounded genuinely confused at the thought .

“It's much funnier to piss each other off. We're just joking about. We know that. It's just our thing." He said like it was totally normal to have insult competitions with the one you love.

Cherrie hummed in agreement , smiling genuinely.

“Yeah. Kylian knows that I don't think he's a stupid , air headed . Arrogant asshole with two left feet and no brain." She laughed "don't you babe?"

Kylian nodded with a giggle "exactly . That's her way of saying that I'm an idiot but she loves me anyway. Just like me calling her a stupid , careless , brainless woman means that i think shes doing something stupid but I love her anyways." He explained to them as though it was simple .

Even Lionel looked at them a little weirdly . Awkwardly clearing his throat when a minute passed by with their teammates just gaping at them.

"Well... I can't say i get it because I don't but if you two are happy..." he looked between them warily.

They both beamed. Holding eachother close.

"We are." Kylian nodded his head as Cherrie finally slid off his back. Pinching his butt on her way down. He kicked hers in response .

Cherrie grinned as well "very happy."

Lionel just sighed and smiled at them. Patting both of them on their backs .

"Then I'm happy for you guys. Just maybe try not to fight each other on the pitch again?" He suggested lightly to them .

Kylian just smirked "you're right. I'll just wrestle her in bed instead!" He then burst into laughter as Cherrie shoved at his shoulder in scolding .

Leaving their friends to sigh as they watched the couple start to shove at each other and bicker about who was the fastest out of the two of them before beggining to race each other down the pitch.

Kylian tripping her up halfway .

Cherrie then grabbing at his ankle and pulling him down with her like a pair of  bad behaved children .

"It's never going to stop is it?" Ramos sighed.

Both neymar and Lionel shook their head .

"They'll have eachother in a headlock at the alter." Lionel muttered with a amused snort as they all watched Cherrie pants him.

Kylian gasping loudly and quickly pulling up his shorts again before running after her. Threatening to rip her thong off and make it into a armband.

Neymar chuckled "wedlock... headlock.."

They both looked at him with deadpan expressions making him raise his brows with a slight pout.

"Okay. Okay geez!"

Silence .

Then "do you think they'll last?" Ramos asked.

As Lionel looked at the way they were having the time of their lives with each other , acting like their true selves without any worry of the other one getting upset or judging them.

He nodded his head.

"They say that you're truly in love when you can act like a kid around someone without them judging you. And look at them.." he motioned towards the couple that were wrestling on the floor again with a sigh.

"They act like two naughty little kids when they're together . They're happy." He simply observed .

"And they're both very weird and might need to see a therapist but.." he then shrugged "they obviously love each other and just because we don't understand it doesn't mean that they don't."

His friends nodded in agreement .

Silence.

Then "I think Cherrie will wear the suit at the wedding." Neymar said.

Ramos laughed "obviously . It isn't kylian that's wearing those pants..!" He grinned as they watched Cherrie pat down kylian's clothes that were now covered in mud and scold him for shoving them both into the puddle.

Kylian just let her smack the back of his head with a grin on his face, his eyes never leaving her as he reached for her hand and interlaced their fingers together . Promising her that he would hand clean them himself .

And they might not have understood the way they loved but it wasn't their relationship to understand.

They clearly loved each other. That was all that mattered .

No matter how strange their love was.

Loved Person

Hello everyone 🩷 I saw this video on Instagram, and it inspired me to write this little thing. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. The end is a bit rushed, but my fluffy side stopped working at some point 😂

Theme: Fluff

Words: 1.5 k

Mason just got home when he received a call from his sister. He immediately answered, excited to see his little nieces faces and to talk with them for a bit.

As soon as Summer's face appeared on the screen his face lit up.

“Hello uncle Masey”she screamed excitedly.

That was all he needed to make a hard day better “Hi little munchkin, how are you? How was the nursery today?”.

“It was good uncle Masey, is y/n with you? I need to ask her something but mummy doesn't have her phone number” Mason immediately started wondering why she would want to talk with you. Your relationship was a fresh one, you had met his family a couple of times but obviously it was too soon to say that there was a bond between you and his niece.

“No baby, she's not here, she is away because of her job. Why did you need her?”.

“Oh” her face immediately saddened “is she coming back soon? I need her on Monday” she said and her voice was full of hope.

“Oh munchkin, no, she is coming back on Wednesday because she is visiting her family for a few days once she's done with work. But why did you need her? Can I help you maybe?”.

“No you can't, we can invite one of our loved people to have lunch with us at school on Monday and I wanted y/n here with me” Mason’s heart clenched at her confession, he was expecting her to care that much about you, but hearing her words made him happy.

He immediately saw how Summer's lower lip was babbling, signaling that she was ready to cry so he tried to ease it for her “You know what? I'll call her now and ask her if she can come back earlier ok? I'll tell her that she can't miss a perfect lunch made by the cooks of your school, does this sound good?”

She immediately nodded, a smile was now adorning her little face again “Yes, thank you uncle Masey, I'll go to play now, talk with mum, bye, love you”.

“I love you too little one” he said laughing at her behavior.

Once he closed the call with his sister Mason sent you a little text not wanting to disturb you by calling.

Loved Person

As promised one hour later you were calling him.

“Hi Mase, how are you my love?”

“Hi baby I'm good. How are you?”

“I'm good too, but what did you want to tell me? I'm nervous tell me please” you said giggling.

Your nosiness was one of the first thing he noticed about you, you hated not knowing things and it was one of the characters he love the most about you. It always made him laugh how it felt like you couldn’t live if you didn’t know what was happening.

“I love that side of you. You know?” You immediately blushed, still not being used to his compliments “by the way, it's about Summer. She has some sort of lunch with a loved one af school, and she wanted to invite you”.

“Are you serious?” You immediately asked, not believing his words.

“I am yeah, but there's a little problem. It's on Monday, and I know you're going to visit your family that day. Don't feel like you need to come back or something similar. I wanted to tell you, just in case you could make it”.

“I'll be there. I can met up with my family another time. I'll book the ticket. I want to be there for her”.

“Baby, I love you. But I don't want you to feel like you have to give up on seeing your family for this. There's going to be plenty of occasions to spend time with her”.

But you weren’t listening to him, you had made your choice and weren’t going to change it “ Mase, do you think you can pick me up if I get in Manchester at 11 pm on Sunday? This way I can see you and maybe we can drive to Portsmouth together, since you'll have a few days off?”

“Tell me you aren't already looking for plane tickets”

“You know me too well Mount, can you answer me please”

“I swear you're my favorite human being “ he said with a fond smile “of course I'll pick you up, and yes I would love to go to Portsmouth with you. I'll be finally able to show you all the places I grew up in”.

“I can't wait” you whispered.

Sunday fortunately came fast and you were finally back into the arms of the man you loved the most. You hadn’t told Summer you'll be there, the little girl was convinced her mum was going to be with her at the lunch but in reality you were going to show up there.

The drive to Portsmouth didn't feel as long as it really was, you and Mason took turns on who was driving and spent all the time chatting about all the things you've done in the week you spent away.

As soon as you were outside Summer's school you felt anxious, you didn't know how she was going to react. She thought you weren't going to be there and Mason had said to you that she was really sad when he told her that you couldn't make it, so would she be happy to see you?

“Baby, breath, she'll be the happiest ever. She really wanted you here and that's the best surprise she could have asked for,ok?”

You nodded, he was right, she wanted you there “You're right, I'll go. You're coming to pick us up later, aren't you?”

“Yes, I've planned an ice-cream date for the three of us later, if she's in the mood I'll take Mila with me too” he said and after a quick kiss you said goodbye to each other.

As soon as you got inside the school one of the teachers led you to Summer's classroom. She was playing with a few other kids and didn't notice you immediately, but when one of the kids screamed a loud hi to you she turned around and immediately spotted you.

She was frozen in place, you were the last person she was expecting to see today, but when you opened your arms for her to run into she made her way to you and squeezed you with her little arms.

“Hi! You came” she said haply.

“Of course I came, little one, I couldn't miss this. I'm so happy to be able to spend some time with you. And especially that you chose me for this, it’s an honor”

“Thank you, I'm happy now” she said and then kissed your cheek sweetly “come, I'll introduce you to my best friends”.

You had one of the best days of your life, Summer was visibly excto have you around, she showed you all her favorite toys and never left your side. At lunch time she sat next to you and you ate the lovely food they had prepared for you.

When it was dessert time the teachers collected all the kids and went into the kitchen telling you they had one last surprise.

All the kids came back with a little plate in their hands and when Summer came to you, you noticed that there were some biscuits on it. But what caught your eyes was the little writing on them “auntie”. She never called you that, and she didn’t know you were coming…

“Auntie, I made this for you. I was meant to make this for my mummy since she told me she was the one coming today, but I wanted to make this for you in any case. Do you like them? Mrs Taylor helped me to write it, I chose blue cause uncle masey told me it's your favorite color”.

You were surprised and your heart was full of love for the little human being in front of you “I love them Summer, thank you so much”.

After a tight hug you enjoy the rest of the time you had with her.

As soon as the clock hit 3 pm, you and the little girl made your way out, ready to spend the rest of the afternoon with Mason and Mila.

Once you were all reunited at Mason's parents house, Summer asked the latter to help her to fall asleep, so they went together into the room she was going to sleep.

Once she was all tugged under the fluffy blanket she started talking.

“Uncke Masey, I really love auntie y/n, you know? When are you going to marry her? I'm sure she is the perfect princess for you”.

“I really love her too Summer. But it's a bit too soon to get married, we don't want to scare her away, do we?”

The little girl just managed to slowly shake her head and after a few minutes she fell asleep.

When Mason came downstairs he snuggled up by your side, because the realisation of you being the right woman for him had his him hard after today and he wasn’t willing to ever let you go.
