Added some Details(TM)
Drew this in MS Paint to prove to myself I don’t NEED 3D models to make art. They make life easier, and they help you learn, but yeah! Really proud of this. This is Avi. :)
There are caveats to being a digital artist. When you create traditional artwork, you have a tangible copy of your work unless you give it away or discard it. However, with digital art it is not that simple. What happens when cloud service fails? What happens when something goes wrong, you lose your device, your device dies, or your files get corrupted? You are left with nothing. That's what's so frustrating about this wonderful medium.
I love digital art. I could not go back to traditional because I simply do not enjoy it as much as digital. Digital, once you get used to it, is infinitely more convenient than traditional in terms of workflow (unless you really hate using tech.). But man.. when shit hits the fan it HITS the fan. I almost lost all of this year's work and my comic, and the only thing that saved it was transferring files by airdrop between my devices. If I were not invested in the apple ecosystem the way I am (except for my windows laptop) I would have lost it all today.
Anyways. That sucked. I typically don't make updates on this account since its supposed to be my art showcase, but I felt a need to talk about this. 😅
On the bright side, I didn't lose any brushes or any work, and the only thing I have to do is restore my character models/ remake some of them. But man that was close.
Image one has delicate lineart that while it shows varying degrees of pressure, the characters are overlapped in a way where they are too homogenous. My solution to this issue is to clearly define each character with a uniform outline running along the very outside edge of the character while adjusting inner outlines as needed to unify the appearance of the outlines overall.
If you are using color to complete your image, image one is fine enough for that because the colors will make the characters stand out as long as the palettes are different enough. However when we are working in screentones / monochrome, a thicker outline provides more clarity amongst the dots and lines.

I don’t like this one AS much as the drawing of Xoinu but i think they match up super well consistency wise 😎✨
Here's the old one for reference lol. I like certain things about the older one more but overall I'd say I like the new one a lot more since I like the lineart and overall vibrancy!
Redraw of something very old since I’m playing New Leaf again! ✨🕺
Posting this here instead of my art blog since i’m trying to build a following for my animal crossing stuff 😎
Will probably reblog to my main account tho! ☺️ I’d link the old one but i never posted it (or deleted it idr) ☹️
More Paint98 Speedpaint! (Windows 98 MS Paint clone)
Edited the final image in Clip Studio Paint to make him more symmetrical 😄✨
This may be a (big) spoiler but who cares, barely anyone follows me anyways so it’s not like it’s a big deal LOL
