You could feel the bullets breeze past your face, embedding into your walls and couch. Screams ripped from your mouth and you curled into yourself as hard as you could, trying to keep small. Placing your palms over your ears, you clenched your eyes shut and buried your face into your knees.

Ahn’thu turned around, quickly becoming transparent to them. The sharp shink of his blade seemed to be louder than the gunfire itself, and just like that, bodies were dropping like flies. Their screams penetrated through your cupped palms and tears continued to flow down your cheeks.

While the gunfire was lessening, that didn’t mean there wasn’t any. Searing white hot pain shot through your thigh, the pain filled scream making Ahn’thu turn towards you quickly, his cloak turning off. His breathing seemed to be labored, and a deafening roar reverberated through the house.

Twisting his body towards the closest soldier next to him, Ahn’thu grabbed ahold of his head before twisting and pulling it ominously, in the Predators large hands lay a head and dangled a spine.

Ahn’thu grabbed for the shuriken at his waist, the blades flinging open and glinting in the looks light. The throw was quick and fluid, the blade embedding into a man’s throat.

Some of the men fled after that, dropping their weapons and trying to find an exit. After the Yautja killed the last man standing, he turned his full attention to the small human that laid curled on the couch, sweat coating their body.

The big guy took a step forward but stopped when you tucked your body closer into the couch, a loud pain filled gasp following closely after. As much as he wanted you to become comfortable with him, that wasn’t really a priority when there was a bullet lodged in your thigh.

Ahn’thu looked towards the wound, clicking worriedly at the blood seeping through your clenched hands that were currently putting pressure on the area. He quickly walked forward, scooping you up into his hands, chest vibrating as a soft but loud purr hit your ears. It took little time for your body to go limp in his arms, your body less tense and your heat signature dropping just a little to show that you weren’t in any distress.

The wailing of cop sirens made the Yautja curse under his breath. He walked over to one of the dead bodies, softly positioning you so you were cradled in the crook of one of his arms. He pulled the shuriken from the man’s throat, flicking it out so that the blades closed.

His ship was quite far where he was currently, but thankfully you lived in a place that was surrounded by woods for miles. It would be easy to call for his ship and cloak it in a clearing.

Ahn’thu made his way out, going through the gaping hole in your wall. He tried his best not to jostle you, as to not irritate your wound. The sound of humans breaking down the door and yelling made him move a bit faster, the cloaking device immediately bending the light and allowing you two to become transparent.

He needed to get the bullet out soon, your soft skin was looking pale and clammy, and your eyes looked bleary with pain. He purred reassuringly, tucking your body into his better chest to keep you warm.

Your eyes fluttered shut and you passed out, for the second time that night.
