jesper: you like me? you like my personality?
wylan: i was surprised too
inej: please, kaz was just showing me how to fix the floor
wylan: anytime a man shows a girl how to do something from behind, it’s just an excuse for him to get really close and breathe on her neck.
jesper: watch any sports movie.
matthias: my shoelace came untied! it could’ve happened to anybody!
kaz: that’s your excuse? inej weighs five pounds, jesper can’t swim, and wylan’s never even seen an ocean
jesper: uh, i can swim, racist
wylan: you don’t see me saying anything crazy about kaz and inej’s weird, little relationship!
kaz and inej, in unison: they’re just jealous…
jesper: why do you call him "gandalf?" matthias: gandalf the wizard? hello, didn't you read Lord of the Rings in high school? jesper: no, i had sex in high school.
The number of people focusing on namor x shuri (which i personally find disgusting, she's a 20 year old girl, and he's a 500+ year old god who(spoilers) killed her mom, and no one would have shipped this if he hadn't been played by someone attractive), instead of the absolutely beautiful storytelling of Wakanda Forever, is pissing me off.
Spoiler free review: This movie handled grief so beautifully, and so realisticly. It was a female led, female driven movie, but never had a single moment of "Girl Power". Riri Williams was hilarious and I loved her and shuris dynamic. AND SHURI!!! The person people are ignoring for the fish man!!! She was so real, raw and powerful. I love that they didn't turn her into T'challa, she was very much her own person, and Letitia Wright deserves an Oscar. The acting was absolutely incredible and I cried three times in the theater. The story was beautiful, and I loved that they never used a body double or a voice over of Chadwick talking. They respected his memory in such a beautiful, calm way, and you felt his presence and influence in the movie. Absolutely brilliant, gorgeous movie, and one of the best in the MCU in my opinion.
kaz: mother hen? i think we’re about the same age!
wylan: sure, unless time is linear
kaz: i’ll make your ass linear!
wylan: that doesn’t make any sense
kaz: i’ll make your ass sense
okay i’m gonna say it:
whoever wrote saltburn definitely read a dark steddie fanfiction and ran with it.
(like jacob elordi gives fanon steve cmon)
mor: eh, don't be so hard on yourself. if someone i was in love with was getting married... rhys: in love with? mor: yeah... rhys: i'm not in love with feyre. mor: oh! no, no, good, me neither. rhys: mor, i'm not going to feyre's wedding because she hates me and it would be really uncomfortable. not because, i’m in love with her! i mean, hey, y’know, i like feyre as much as the next guy, y’know? clearly I have feelings for her, but feelings don’t mean love! i mean, i have loving feelings for feyre. yeah! i have feelings of love, but that doesn’t mean that i’m in love with her. y’know? i have sexual feelings for her, but i do love her. mor: ... rhys: oh my god! why didn't you tell me? mor: we thought you knew! rhys: "we?" mor: yeah, we all know, we talk about it all the time! rhys: you all know?? does feyre know?? mor: oh, no, feyre doesn't know anything. rhys: oh, i can't believe you didn't tell me. mor: well, because we thought you knew. it's so obvious! god, it'd be like telling amren "hey, you like jewelry."
