A not-perfect-but-still-satisfactory tribute to my favorite zone of Sonic Advance 3. Why? Well, just look at the place! The sky's colored like a sunset (for which I'm a sucker), there's floating ruins, two celestial bodies in the sky, only one of which you see here, and let's not forget how the music contributes to the epic, no-nonsense atmosphere! Like, seriously, the composers didn't have to go hard here, but they did, and I thank them for it (I like to joke about it being Cream's theme since she's freaking OP especially with Knuckles as her partner, holy shit).

As you can see, I took a few liberties with the details. I didn't feel up to drawing all the little thing so I kinda simplified it. Making this was a little annoying, but overall fun. I would definitely like to make more pieces like this for other favorite levels.

Started this two days ago hours before one of my cockatiels passed away. My family and I speculate it was an accidental death, though it was still shocking nonetheless. He was a fantastic boy who will never be forgotten.

that's literally why sonic is so cool ooohhhh it's bc he's never embarassed so everything he does IS cool, it becomes cool, and it's probably why so many ppl tend to not like the meta era bc it kind of feels apologetic for itself, sorry for being cringe or for being what it is and that tugs on sonic's character HARD bc if he's not just so unapologetically himself, who is he. ooooohhhhhhhh yeah that makes sense
