Ahsoka definitely doesn't see him as an older brother, like Anakin does, she has always seen him as her friend, her closest friend in the end... she even goes so far as to call him her best friend, that's how precious their relationship is.

Even beyond the obvious reasons people always insist on defining a ship they don’t like as a “found family” relationship, when it comes to “Ashoka is like a little sister to Rex” I genuinely don’t get where this comes from and it’s everywhere. I don’t like shipping them during the Clone Wars era because it’s just not how I see their relationship, but siblings? Literally where does anyone get that?

We know Ahsoka thinks of Anakin as a brother because that’s a word she actually uses in reference to him, when she has no other way to explain who taught her to fix things. And because as her Master he’s truly the closest thing to family she has and they playfully give each other shit all the time.

But it’s always kind of a funny contrast to how they both act that Rex is generally really polite and formal a lot of the time. Him and Ahsoka being so casual with each other like chaotic siblings is basically just fanon. He doubts Ahsoka because of her age and inexperience only for the short time she hasn’t proven herself in his eyes, and after that he treats her with deference and does not patronize her. However you want to read their age difference, he calls her “kid” just a few times early in the relationship and then it’s not really, as a rule, a thing in their dynamic. Despite obviously having a real and meaningful friendship with her, he almost always calls her Commander out of respect. That is…not how siblings act with each other lmao.

Well, this is more or less the outline of the idea for my oc, I had to draw it because otherwise I won't get the idea right later... I still don't have a clear color palette and its story is still being written! But what do I know? That it will be family, a certain Togruta that is lost hehehe...

Ahsoka slipped into the already dark room and chuckled at the exasperated sigh she heard.

“It’s about time,” Rex said throwing aside the blanket for her to climb under.

Ahsoka padded over and happily snuggled up against him, lacing her legs around his own.

“Your feet are cold,” Rex grumbled as she settled.

Ahsoka grinned. “Ah well…so is the rest of me, so come here.” She pulled him towards her, burying her face in his chest.

Rex shook his head, but smiled and tucked his chin between her montrals. “Always happy to keep you warm, my love.”

Ahsoka pulled away a little to smirk at him. “You know what else would warm me up?” She began drawing circles on his chest, then running her finger up and down it.

Rex pursed his lips, and looked away from her. “Yes. I do know what else would warm you up.”

Ahsoka chuckled and pressed her body closer to his. “So?”

Rex hummed qnd then slowly laid his hand on top of her hip. His thumb stroked across it, making Ahsoka shudder. He applied the slightest bit of pressure, and a tiny moan escaped passed Ahsoka’s lips.

Rex leaned closer. “So what?” he whispered against her montral.

“I think you figured it out,” Ahsoka let out shakily, but smiling.

He hummed again by her montral sending a shiver down her spine.

Slowly, Rex slid his hand up her body -only making her shudder more- until it came to rest on her cheek. He tilted her head up to look at him.

“Hi,” Ahsoka breathed out.

“Hi,” Rex whispered leaning in.

Ahsoka smirked and bit her lip before moving to press her lips against his. Still smirking, she bit his lower lip. He grunted, but responded by deepening the kiss.

When they pulled away, Rex examined her face closely. “You are incorrigible.”

Ahsoka just shrugged and smiled. “But you like it,” she teased.

“Yes, I do,” Rex sighed, but she could hear the smile too. “I love you, cyar’ika.”

Ahsoka settled down, resting her head on his shoulder. “I love you too, cyare.”
