Reasons I'd get kicked out of Camp Half-Blood

1- telling Chiron to "stay gold, Ponyboy"

2- belting the chorus of "sweet home Alabama" every time I see a couple in the camp

3- making your mom jokes to Athena and Aphrodite kids

4- randomly spraying Percy with a squirt gun to check if he's really water resistant, even when he's not expecting to be in contact with water

5- approaching random campers and reminding them who their half-siblings are (ex: "yo, Nico, did you know you're related to Hitler?)

6- hiding a noise machine in the Hermes cabin and playing the star Wars scene "Luke, I am your father" every time he eneters/ making it play Hamilton at all hours of the night, so we can fall asleep to the sound of our father's voice

7- telling kids to "read between the lines", knowing full well they can't even read the lines themselves

8- convincing the younger, more gullible Demeter kids to grow weed

9- bribing the Hephaestus kids into making me a gun that shoots celestial bronze bullets, because there is no way in Hades that I am about to go after monsters just wielding some pointy sticks

10- sneaking into the Hera cabin to sleep, because what do you MEAN I, a claimed daughter of Hermes, don't get a bed in my own daddy's house? Yeah, no, I'm staying over at grandma's, the goddess of motherhood. Smite me.

and what if you're 60 years old and still shifting, are you gonna only shift to 60s appropriate shows because hey you're too old to be studying at hogwarts? NO TELL ME BECAUSE I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW.

you will shift and be the same age you script yourself in unless you state otherwise. i can promise you, you won't pull an esther.

how can you preach that shifting is unlimited and tell me in the same breath that you will be an adult in a child's body? and that it's impossible for you to be a child in the FUCKING MULTIVERSE/S YOU DENSE FUCK.

and also, not everyone is shifting to date if that's your concern, GENUINELY not everyone is shifting to date, tons literally just wanna live for themselves and tons as well have lost their childhood due to plenty of reasons and are simply shifting to relive them or live better one/s, and IF for whatever reason they happen to date someone THEIR AGE you shut your damn mouth.

how is it fine for a minor to age themselves up but no no no god how fucking horrible and awful what an atrocity that an adult is shifting to be a child. OH HOW HORRIFIC HOW COULD THEY EVER DO THAT AS IF IT'S NOT THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE TO MISS YOUR CHILDHOOD OR MOURN IT.

nothing brings me more peace than knowing that katniss everdeen spends the rest of her life eating warm cheese buns and being held every night by a man who loves her more than life itself. she deserves everything

with the way some people talk about shifting… idk maybe they should just consider roleplaying instead

One thing that’s hilarious to me regarding DP fic crossovers with other superhero media is, while we joke that Danny is sorta OP in canon, he’s extremely OP in comparison to other heroes. His power set is just perfectly matched by his antagonists (ghosts) and thus is any situation outside of ghosts he’s ridiculously powerful. 

Imagine a hero that can attack enemies and then phase through any return hits. Who has superhuman healing even when he’s hit. Who can be invisible and completely undetectable to people, technology etc for recon purposes. Who can overshadow anyone and make them do as he pleases. Ghost powers, especially stable and strong powers like Danny’s, would be an immense boon to whatever hero or villain got ahold of him. He could change the outcome of any battle.

And yet the fact that he’s a) 14 and stupid b) stuck for the most part in Amity and c) his rogues consists of other ghosts who can counter his insane power set means that Danny doesn’t really get how scary his powers would be to the outside hero community.

Use your limiting beliefs to your advantage!
