Quick sketches of my mc Edwin Porter while I prepare for the OLNFweek prompts.

For those who can't read my god-awful writing:

-Edwin Porter, Age:10

-Tama compares his hair to cotton candy, Qiu thinks he looks like a sheep.

-He's constantly mistaken for a little girl.

-He's a selective mute. His mum helped him learn some ASL to communicate.

Art Journal- Day 2 of Random Art Exercises

I really wanted to draw my farmer again- This time in my style! I redesigned his first outfit a little bit and added his next two outfits from summer. I looked up how to color scars, but I still struggled a lot trying to pick an accurate color so if you think it looks off pls tell me!

Also, I changed their name. It's Levine now. (Eyvind was too close to Eiland idk what I was thinking LOL)

My mc for OLBA- Cadence Drew!

Again, in case you can't read my chicken-scratch:

-Cadence Drew, age: 8, RBF(resting bitch face)

-snail <3

-Him and Lee have matching shell bracelets. (He adores his cousin)

-He doesn't know how to interact with others, Cove thinks he hates him. So, they're not friends at first. LMAO

-How he looks to other kids\ Reality: Needs glasses

-Cadence thought that Cove was a fae or mermaid when he first saw him.

just curious on if theres any info you can give me on edwins interactions with other characters? like how do they act with everyone and are there any people who they act differently around?

Sorry! I've been preoccupied lately.

Edwin is usually a very shy person, he wants to get along with everyone but he's hesitant to step forward if that makes sense. I've had this idea in my head that if he likes or is comfortable with someone he'll show it by giving them things. (If that's confusing think of it as similar to a crow giving trinkets LMAO he'll just start sharing things, like snacks, toys, a cool rock, etc.)

With Tamarack he'd be more playful. Since she tends to just charge forward, I think he'd be drawn into the energy of it as a kid. She could probably talk him into trouble if she wanted. They often explore the forest together and play pretend.

With Qiu I think he's the most relaxed and comfortable (other than his mom ofc). I think Qiu's confidence with handling other people would help him feel less anxious, and in turn Edwin checks in on Qiu a lot too. I like to think they trade notes a lot in and out of class since Winnie doesn't really talk. Anywhere between full sheets of conversation and just silly doodles.

With Ren he didn't like her at first, purely because Ren didn't like Tamarack and that was his bestie. As things calm down between those two though, Edwin finds he actually really likes hanging out with her (and the rest of the boy's club). I can't think of anything specific tho..

With Baxter pretty similar to Ren, except he looks up to Baxter. He thought he was kinda of intimidating at first then thought he was really cool.

Fun fact: It is actually very easy to fluster Cadence, and Cove for sure takes advantage of that when they're older as revenge for Cade teasing him all of the time growing up.

I know it's not possible in game (or at I'm p sure it isn't) but I think it'd be so freaking cute if your mc and Cove could accidentally propose at the same time-

Cove's ring looks like a wave or a dolphin fin. While Cadence's ring is fairly simple (as he would prefer) with his favourite gem: Pearl. :)
