Imagine if Blank Space had been recorded back in the 40′s…what might that have sounded like? I put an amp filter on PMJ’s version of it, and I gotta say, the 40′s sounds good with some taylorswift :)
💕 We made you some scientific valentines because we love you. 💕

Astronaut Edgar Mitchell, lunar module pilot on Apollo 14, passed away Thursday in West Palm Beach, Fla., on the eve of the 45th anniversary of his lunar landing. Mitchell was the sixth man to walk on the Moon.
“To me, that (spaceflight) was the culmination of my being, and what can I learn from this? What is it we are learning? That’s important, because I think what we’re trying to do is discover ourselves and our place in the cosmos, and we don’t know. We’re still looking for that.” - Edgar Mitchell in 1997 interview for NASA’s oral history program.

Solving the data processing alone is mindnumbing…
The amount of sensory information collected pose a huge storage problem and require real-time signal processing to reduce the information to relevant data. In mid 2011 it was estimated the array could generate an exabyte a day of raw data, which could be compressed to around 10 petabytes.
Square Kilometre Array
The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) is a radio telescope project that will be built in Australia and South Africa. It will have a total collecting area of approximately one square kilometre. It will operate over a wide range of frequencies and its size will make it 50 times more sensitive than any other radio instrument.
