error does have a counterpart who hasn't showed up yet! just like how error is afraid of touch, so is error-kitty, so being in the middle of a cafe with 20+ other cats is not a good combo usually

on this note, error-kitty would be EXTREMELY clingy to those they know

i am now imagining classic-kitty and error-kitty just cuddling together and oof my heart- *drabble idea forms*

THE STARTERS!

I love these two, so glad I finished drawing them.

Onto short lore, Toontale takes place after the barrier was broken, but to clarify what their roles were while the barrier was up…

Me and my friend foraged this together so some characters might not fit their roles or whatever but Whateves! (Some are complete jokes too)

here are the "starters," i don't think they'll be changing much in the final refs, except for toodles who will be rocking crocs instead.

(part 2! You guys seem to love this silly idea of mine! This will be primarily told in slice of life snippets. I'll add in new characters (heroes, villains) as their arcs end. That way i can get a feel for their characterization. Then mold them to fit this AU better.)

Lin Ling was able to calm Nice down. Eventually. It took a while. The poor Hero had been bottling up a lot of pain for a very long time. Once it seemed as if he was winding down Ling used one of his abilities as Homemaker. He didn't have a name for it, but he could infuse a mild calming effect into a melody that he hums. He abused that ability liberally when watching children. 

Nice absolutely melted into Ling’s lap at the simple lullaby. He turned boneless. Ling continued petting silky hair.

“Thank you…” the other hero whispered softly.

“You're welcome.” Ling said as he pulled out a travel pack of tissues from his pocket. He wiped the tears from Nice’s face. “There we go. Much better.” He smiled softly once he was cleaned up.

The other hero was looking at him with wide, wonder filled eyes. “I’m Nice. I mean. Hello.” 

Ling was absolutely charmed by the awkward introduction. 

“Lin Ling. I’m also a small-time hero, Homemaker. I’m happy to meet you.” 

Ling, in another world, would have been much more freaked out about everything. In this world, though, his Trust Value made him have a much calmer demeanor. His parents, when he started gaining Trust, had been mildly horrified at the implications of his personality changing to reflect how he was perceived. Ling accepted it, though. Very easily. A calmer personality helped him with his babysitting. In turn that helped him earn money to help his parents. 

“Come on. Let's get down from here. It's getting late and getting colder. You must be hungry and thirsty as well.” Ling was in full Homemaker mode at that moment. He helped Nice to stand up and caught a glance at his wrist and Trust Value. He’d had a huge jump in trust. He calculated and realized he would have gone from rank 500 to 450. His Value was still climbing, too.

Little did he know, that huge jump gave him a boost to his abilities. He now just radiated a calming presence and Nice was soaking it up. 

The white haired man (in his own mind) needed  to have this amazing fellow hero with him always. Nice needed Lin Ling as much as he needed Wreck. As much as he needed air. He’d never felt so cared for outside of the time he spent with his boyfriend. It was addicting and he was already hopelessly dependent. He started making plans as he flew them to Homemaker’s apartment.

Bunni: i gotta share this with my cousin. She loves Nice. Huge fan of his. She’s gonna freak! 

(Little did they know that said cousin would post the original post to her own social media and cause it to go viral. It soon caught the attention of a certain Hero Manager.)

It's a mystery that this cat likes cuddling with him so much, but a bigger mystery that he lets it.
