Flashback to that one time I found the reality shifting symbol drawn on the whiteboard at my college library:
Do you ever feel super productive for most of the week and then out of nowhere you one day is just stops and your brain becomes non stop tv static for hours on end?
Every time April fools comes around I always think right back at that one SpongeBob episode from back in the day.
If you think:
- the Magen David (star of David) is a hate symbol
- the Shema (which begins with “Shema Yisrael” or “Hear, o Israel”), the primary Jewish declaration of its religious theology, is Zionist
- that using Hebrew makes someone “sus”
- that Jews that are visibly Jewish due to their jewelry or dress should just “stop wearing things that make it obvious” for their safety
- that it is acceptable to protest or threaten a Jewish synagogue, school, or community center. . .
You can keep your “Happy Hanukkahs” to yourself. They’re empty, meaningless, and frankly offensive.
Oh, the second video brings back warm memories from my early childhood. My mom played this a lot especially whenever I was in the car with her. I even listen to it sometimes just for nostalgia and also because the song is so beautiful.
I’d like to put some more songs here, if y’all don’t mind:
First off, another song I remember from my childhood and an iconically beautiful song:
Second one was from when I went to a Jewish girls summer sleep away program and this played in the car I was at heading back to the campsite. Again, another beautiful song:
And finally, another one from the Jewish girls summer sleep away program:
(Bonus song; also one of my faves):
i need jewish positivity. reblog this with your favorite jewish music.
I've been sniffling all day and eventually realized I got the cold.
Just saw this!
It was absolutely amazing to study and turn over those books and I’m so happy we were able to do so together!
One of the books in question is called “Questioning the Answers” by Kayla Haber Goldstein. It’s a really amazing book and even if you do know most of the content, it explains everything on a whole different level!
I think we deserve a Jewish Joy post.
Share something relating to Judaism in any way that has made you happy lately!!
This past Shabbat @skyedom and I were reading some books at our school's Chabad and we got into some really interesting discussions about those books! We went back and forth on interpretations of the books, whether or not we agreed with what the books were saying, etc.
Feel free to share your Jewish Joy moment in the comments or reblogs!
I’m seeing the new movie with my fam later today!
Hopefully it’s a solid sequel.
This new character seems a little familiar...
oh wait:
I’m going to post some OC content eventually so here’s the heads up for people when that happens..
