I Am Not Your Asian American Doll: a comic for AAPI Heritage Month 2023

I usually spend a lot of time editing and fine-tuning my comics so that they come across as polite and inoffensive. But honestly, I’m really tired of the way Asian cultures and countries are treated / talked about while Asian people themselves are excluded, and thought it was about time I really let my rage out lol.

Hmmm I wanna draw a picture with Dedede in it but I don't have a lot of experience drawing him. I should look up a reference.

A screenshot of a search for "king dedede" in the search engine DuckDuckGo. The first result is an info panel-- a summary of information on a given subject based on the search terms.

The info panel is titled "King Dedede", with the subtitle "Fictional character from the Kirby series". Holy shit unfollowing a bunch of people actually fixed it a bit. I REALLY like and wanna keep up with some of them but I'll just do it at my own pace now.

Man, I hate how political this site is sometimes. I kinda find myself pushing like for anything that sounds convincing enough these days and I know I need to stop. I can actually feel myself being swayed by everything I see with how low my self esteem is.

I can't donate to anyone right now and I'm already hearing about world events all the time. This isn't healthy for me or anyone else... It's normal to not know everything and take a BREAK sometimes. It doesn't make you a bad person.

I don't know man, I just wanna see and post art.

nothing more annoying than people who brush off basil's act of hanging mari by saying "well, he was just trying to protect sunny! he was being so selfless!" first of all, impact absolutely eclipses intent in this situation. second of all, basil's motivation is clearly at least somewhat selfish? above all else, he wants to keep his best friend, and his concern for the well-being of said best friend is secondary.

just look at this dialogue. of course basil loves and cares about sunny a lot, but when he gets desperate—as he is here, and as he presumably was when he hung mari—he isn't acting with sunny's best interests in mind. he's primarily concerned with what sunny can do for him.

how close are u to finishing your next skeletondance fic chapter

Honestly? Been going through some major family issues rn so I shelved it for a bit.

I tend to only post my fics when I've completed them due to stuff like this, but I decided to post two chapters early when I probably shouldn't have.

I'm not sure when the next chapter will be out, but I do work on it in my down time. I might post a snippet later...
