Is there any lore behind Furinaβs ousia and pneuma outfits? I genuinely canβt find anything and am wondering if Iβm missing something obvious
Apollo has been recognized as a god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the sun and light, poetry, and more.
repeat after me
I WILL FINISH MY WIP
I WILL FINISH MY WIP
I WILL FINISH MY WIP
GUYS, HEAR ME OUT
So, everyone here is familiar with 4nemo, or 5wirl, whatever. Right?
So I thought a bit and, LISTEN.
I made a few names but I'm not sure if it's good, but here
HY8RO
VAP8RIZE
H8DRO
And it would consist of
Furina, Kokomi, Nilou, Mona, Yelan, Candace, Mualani and Barbara
If we're going to take the band(group?) Context, I'll say which instrument I think each of them would have
Furina and Barbara would mainly sing for me, so I can't think of any instrument rn
Kokomi gives off keyboard vibes.
Yelan probably uses the electric guitar
Candace uses the drums
Mualani would use either Maracas or something like a triangle.
I'm not sure about Mona
BUT, I do think they would be more like, in a kpop group vibe? π
But yeah, I had this idea and needed to share before I forgot π
(Also, maybe Focalor could be an ex member that left and let furina take her place without anyone noticing the difference until she said it to the public)

Straightway, great Phoebus, the goddesses washed you purely and cleanly with sweet water, and swathed you in a white garment of fine texture, new-woven, and fastened a golden band about you. - Homeric Hymn to Delian Apollo
"People mostly write and read very character driven, specific ship focused fic, because what most people want out of fanfiction is to focus on the romance between characters they're not getting in canon so they can soak in the vibes."
Yes, absolutely. And thank hell for all the authors who write character-driven, ship focused fic for us to soak in the vibes to.
But alsoβ¦
thank hell for all the authors who write angst, whump, and hurt no comfort, for us to luxuriate in blorbo's hurt and pain and cry or cackle.
thank hell for all the authors who write cheating, love triangles and affairs for us to consume large quantities of popcorn to and yell 'oh no, they didn't'.
thank hell for all the authors who write case fic, mission fic, and intricate, plot-driven stories to replicate the feel of canon, when canon has stopped or gone wrong.
thank hell for all the authors who write 'fix it' fics when canon has betrayed us with bad vibes, plot holes and deaths.
thank hell for all the authors who write poly ships when what we need is just for everyone to get along and screw instead of screw up.
thank hell for all the authors who write gen fic when we're not interested in romance.
thank hell for all the authors in fandom, and all the wonderful, different kinds of fanfiction they write for us.
1. High inspiration, low motivation. You have so many ideas to write, but you just donβt have the motivation to actually get them down, and even if you can make yourself start writing it youβll often find yourself getting distracted or disengaged in favour of imagining everything playing out
Try just bullet pointing the ideas you have instead of writing them properly, especially if you wonβt remember it afterwards if you donβt. At least youβll have the ideas ready to use when you have the motivation later on
2. Low inspiration, high motivation. Youβre all prepared, youβre so pumped to write, you open your document aaaaandβ¦ three hours later, that cursor is still blinking at the top of a blank page
RIP pantsers but this is where plotting wins out; refer back to your plans and figure out where to go from here. You can also use your bullet points from the last point if this is applicable
3. No inspiration, no motivation. You donβt have any ideas, you donβt feel like writing, all in all everything is just sucky when you think about it
Make a deal with yourself; usually when Iβm feeling this way I can tell myself βOkay, just write anyway for ten minutes and after that, if you really want to stop, you can stopβ and then once my ten minutes is up Iβve often found my flow. Just remember that, if you still donβt want to keep writing after your ten minutes is up, donβt keep writing anyway and break your deal - itβll be harder to make deals with yourself in future if your brain knows you donβt honour them
4. Canβt bridge the gap. When youβre stuck on this one sentence/paragraph that you just donβt know how to progress through. Until you figure it out, productivity has slowed to a halt
Mark it up, bullet point what you want to happen here, then move on. A lot of people donβt know how to keep writing after skipping a part because they donβt know exactly what happened to lead up to this moment - but you have a general idea just like you do for everything else youβre writing, and thatβs enough. Just keep it generic and know you can go back to edit later, at the same time as when youβre filling in the blank. Itβll give editing you a clear purpose, if nothing else
5. Perfectionism and self-doubt. You donβt think your writing is perfect first time, so you struggle to accept that itβs anything better than a total failure. Whether or not youβre aware of the fact that this is an unrealistic standard makes no difference
Perfection is stagnant. If you write the perfect story, which would require you to turn a good story into something objective rather than subjective, then after that youβd never write again, because nothing will ever meet that standard again. That or you would only ever write the same kind of stories over and over, never growing or developing as a writer. If youβre looking back on your writing and saying βThis is so bad, I hate itβ, thatβs generally a good thing; it means youβve grown and improved. Maybe your current writing isnβt bad, if just matched your skill level at the time, and since then youβre able to maintain a higher standard since youβve learned more about your craft as time went on
