"That's not god's fault," might be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. My child, that guy's entire claim to fame is being omnipotent and omniscient.

i find the trend of getting offended at goth people for wearing rosaries so funny because it’s like,,,,, how do you know they’re not ex-catholic? how do you know they’re not irish? or polish? or mexican? or italian?

you gonna tell them they can’t interact with imagery from their own culture? pls lmao.

I used to volunteer for a Christian homeless outreach program. Giving out food donations, gently used clothes, prepping and giving out hot meals, such and such. The leader would also preach to the people waiting in lines for their next meal, before they were allowed to get it. Some people would come later when the sermons were basically over. And, I remember him essentially shaming them for it, bc how could you just come for your physical nourishment and not your spiritual nourishment?

That’s manipulation. That’s guilt tripping. No one should be forced to listen to your drawn out babble about God when they and their children are starving.

Do You Know How Many Witches The Inquisition Burned?

Do you know how many witches the Inquisition burned?

None of them.

witches don't exist

It wasn't witches who burned, it was women.

Beautiful, cultured and intelligent women. Women accused of having water in the well or for cultivating and caring for their beautiful plantation. They were convicted of having a birthmark, for being skillful with herbal medicine, for being tall, black or red-haired.

They condemned those who showed a strong connection to nature, those who danced or sang. The ones who looked happy. To those who looked independent and powerful.

For the Holy Inquisition and many other groups throughout history, any free-spirited woman should have been burned or thrown into the water. If it floated it was guilty and executed. If she was sinking and drowning she was declared innocent and then her soul would go to heaven.

Many, thousands of them were thrown off cliffs or placed in deep holes in the ground by beings who felt superior to them, almost gods.

Why am I even writing this?

Because knowing history is important when it comes to building a new society and a new world. It is urgent to give voice to all women in honor of those who were humiliated, beaten, tortured and massacred. Long live to independent, strong and powerful women.

It wasn't witches who burned, it was... women.

thinking about it, part of the reason the "you were never a christian" accusation hurts is because of how much i wish it was true

Actually, ex-Christians have earned the right to make fun of Christianity. It comes free with the religious trauma.

“Not To Shade Religious People But It’s Kinda Chilling How Some Folks Praise Abraham For Being Willing

“Not to shade religious people but it’s kinda chilling how some folks praise Abraham for being willing to kill Isaac for God to prove his devotion. Like idk about y’all, but if God told me to kill my son i’d kinda be like maybe this isn’t the god for me.”

Religion prioritizes submission, devotion, obedience, blind faith, etc. so it’s obvious what that tale was trying to do. They’re telling the followers that they will be rewarded for putting their god above any other.

“You must submit, but you have to do it willingly (like Abraham), forced submission is the same as no submission.”

They’re portraying this behavior as something to be praised and something to strive for. Abrahamic religions only give the illusion of “choice”. The tale is used to keep the followers in line while making them think that they’re admirable and worthy of praise because they chose to submit.
