“Florida banning all 14 year olds from social media rare Florida W???” I think it should be obvious this is an effort to control young people’s access to information that runs contrary to a conservative agenda, as well as online resources and networks that could be vital to abused children.
You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me
Some people feel comfort from knowing that they're not alone in their struggles, that it's something most people go through (my sister)
And other people feel like being told "everyone goes through that" equals "you're overreacting", and therefore feel like their feelings are dismissed and would rather get validation for them instead (me)
Weird when you first start paying attention to animal noises and realize they don't actually sound like the words we use

i wanna say fuck you to anyone who shame disabled, chronically ill & neurodivergent people, especially homebound folks, for "spending too much time on their phone/on the internet/etc." when it's the only (Somewhat) accessible way for them to experience the world. many people don't get to get out much even if they want to because of their disabilities. shaming someone for trying to connect with the world, make friends and engage with hobbies in ways that are accessible to them is beyond cruel and unnecessary
