POV you have one of the coolest names (Trafalgar D. Water Law) and one of the hardest nicknames (Surgeon of Death) then one day a dumbass 19 year old appears and decides to be your friend and now everyone refers to you as TRAFFY
I don't have a dream job. I want to be a fairy and sleep in a tulip
Honestly good for her. Oliver is that girl.
personally if i was deeply in love with a guy and managed to get with half of his family but not him despite our intense sexual chemistry i’d throw a fit and murder him too
i think it's beautiful that stewy walked up to the portal and said "i'm weird i'm a weirdo" and kendall said "no you like breakfast food and you kiss guys on molly" and then the portal just closed itself out of respect for gay love.
Exactly.
It's funny how activism and allyship go out the window at the first sign of personal inconvenience, huh? The trailer for JK Rowling's newest cinematic bowel movement dropped yesterday and a baffling number of people with pronouns in their bios are losing their freaking minds with excitement over it.
If you confront them about it, they'll be the first to tell you that they absolutely do not support Rowling's Problematic Views, but they just have to see their favorite middle aged men waving sticks around for two hours. It's not their fault, really.
Well what if I told you that by still appearing in these movies, your favorite middle aged men are being part of the problem and you shouldn't support them either? That includes Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law and especially Mads Mikkelsen, because he signed up to this franchise after Rowling started sharing her transphobic views. Maybe you should consider why that is.
And before you start with any "But the contract...!" nonsense:
Katherine plays Tina, one of the main characters in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. After she took a firm stance against Rowling's bigotry last year, she's rumoured to have been more or less written out of the franchise, she isn't in any of the promo material and leaks indicate that she only has a few scenes in the new movie. Your faves have no excuse, they're more famous and wealthy than Katherine, their careers wouldn't be in danger for doing this, they simply don't want to.
At the end of the day, pirate the movie if you're curious to see it, but don't go to the cinema, don't post about it and stop pretending like if you ignore the problem, it'll go away. Trans people feeling safe and welcome in online spaces is more important than your nostalgia or daddy issues. JK Rowling writes these new movies, she produces them, she's got full control and she gets all the profit. Grow a fucking spine for once and stop supporting a bigot.
kendall roy, always willing to fight for the downtrodden
The way so many of the characters this episode had story beats dealing with their inner child was something so powerful to see:
Roy receives an endearingly childish shirt from his niece, which he wears and is then told that he looks happier than ever in it — and then proceeds to tell Keeley how he feels in said shirt
Rebecca is about to have a panic attack, visualizes her inner child in her place, and then works herself through the anxiety, choosing to go to the meeting because that child deserves to stand up for herself
Nate looks through his childhood things, plays the violin, and learns that all along his dad was really proud of him and just wanted him to be happy — and then he does a kind gesture for Will
Keeley reminds Rebecca that all of the men in the meeting were once little boys, and like the mirror scene, this allows her to appeal to the boys inside all of those men as she stands up to them
At one point or another, each of the characters were just kids who had all these hopes and dreams, but life happens and we all deal with shit, but by confronting the wounds they faced in their childhood and healing their inner child — the characters are allowed to grow and move on
here are some of my tips that i use but also ones i’ve gotten from the internet to help with productivity!!!
1) listen to music!!! when studying, i like to listen to instrumental music but if i’m doing math, i like to listen to music i like to help keep me going!
2) put your phone on do not disturb (or the equivalent). this will ensure that you won’t get any of those notifications that you always want to check
3) turn off notifications for certain apps. i completely got rid of notifications from snapchat and instagram so i’m not as tempted to go on those apps that suck time away from me lol
4) sit at a desk or table. if i try and do homework on my bed or my beanbag, i’m sooooo tempted to not do anything and just take a nap. don’t do that.
5) drink water!!! gotta stay hydrated my friends!!! this’ll give you the energy you need to get all that stuff done!!
6) take breaks. reward yourself after doing a lot of stuff by taking a break to watch one youtube video, or read a chapter of a book. but promise yourself to not go overboard and return to what you need to do.
7) write a to do list and break it down. to do lists are my life savior. it’s so satisfying to cross things off and it makes me want to do more because i’m physically able to cross off the task.
8) ok you’re gonna hate me for saying this one but, get up early. this doesn’t help with coming home from school but this is specifically for the weekends! getting up early gives you sooooo much more time to do what you need to do. and then, when you get a lot of it done by noon or 1pm, you feel SO much better about yourself.
9) take a break when you get home (eat a snack) and then start working. try not to postpone your work, thinking it won’t take you very long because most of the time, it’ll take you a lot longer than you originally thought. just try and get it over with so you don’t have to worry about it later.

best of luck in your endeavors :)
