Final Post For The Day, I Found A Protoman Doodle I Liked And Thought It'd Be Fun To Experiment A Little

I did laughter headcanons for X and his kids cause they deserve to be happy so now I wanna share what I think their favorite foods are. Just pretend robots can eat food this is an au.

X: Has no particular favorite, but loves homey stuff. Something warm and comforting like the kind of food a parent would make for their kid after they've had a long day and are in need of a pick me up. (Frequently shares with his own kids so they know they're loved)

Harpuia: Has a major sweet tooth and loves anything with fruits in it. Pies, cakes, salad, whatever. If it's sugary then chances are he'll eat it. Has actually been caught stealing fruits before X can make anything with them. His favorite snacks are walnuts, favorite drink is grape juice, and his favorite food is strawberry shortcake with apple pie being a close second.

Leviathan: Loves anything with fish or seafood incorporated in it. She also likes cold treats like mochi ice cream and eats a surprising amount of veggies especially just by themselves. X doesn't even have to prep anything, she will literally just grab a carrot or some lettuce from the fridge and start snacking like a mad lad. Her favorite snacks are shrimps or cucumbers, favorite drink is water, and favorite food is calamari.

Fefnir: Spicy foods are his all time favorite and has eaten so much his tolerance is through the damn roof. He once chugged an entire bottle of the spiciest hot sauce X could get his hands on and made X wonder how he was even alive. Beyond spice though, he really enjoys savory foods like burgers and fries but usually only eats after he's dunked them in sauce. Favorite snacks are spicy chips like Takis, favorite drink is pineapple soda, and favorite food is spicy chicken curry.

Phantom: Has no particular likes or dislikes much like X but tends to gravitate towards baked goods. The mellower the better, he doesn't like it when things have a strong taste. Anything spicy is out of the question but sugar is alright as long as there isn't too much. Favorite snack is usually lightly salted potato chips, favorite drink is water, and favorite food is a sourdough bread bowl.

Random Au headcanon time:

In TMNT 2012, Leo got a voice change due to the Shredder messing up his vocal cords after the Foot ambush. It's spawned a few headcanons that Leo can't speak for long periods of time because his voice would give out on him if he spoke too much or yelled too loud.

I can't remember where but I saw this one post that expanded on that idea with Leo having a love for singing and would often sing his brothers to sleep some nights. When Shredder damaged Leo's throat, he was devastated because he couldn't sing as well as he used too. His brothers on the other hand, loved his singing voice because it reminds them that Leo's still here and safe.

I want to add this headcanon to the Mutant Mashup Au. DaVinci would probably sing along with Niccolo when he did his funny voices. Vin might have gotten into singing once Nico showed him where he learned the countries of the world song.

I imagine that sometime after the Kraang Invasion, once everything settles down, the boys notice DaVinci is a lot quieter than he normally is. Once it finally clicks that Vin can't talk at the moment, Orange goes to Draxum for help. By this point Draxum is a reformed lad that casually accepts he's been forcibly adopted and goes to help DaVinci.

Whether through some sort of mystic healing spell (similar to 2012's Healing Hands technique) or actual surgery, DaVinci is able to speak again without much pain. There are times when his throat flares up but those moments only come after prolonged use of his voice. DaVinci is a pretty quiet kid when compared to his family so that thankfully doesn't happen much.

Just a little thing, DaVinci probably felt proud of his voice and must've felt so insecure about singing after his throat got better. To the point where the rest of the boys, even April, May and Casey, got worried he stopped singing altogether. Blue especially worried because he hates when anyone in his family is hurting, that's part of why he's the medic. It takes a while but the family eventually convince DaVinci that they'll love whatever his new voice sounds like no matter what.

Finally got around to drawing @fannele's Able, he's largely based on: "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream". I drew Able if he somehow managed to be unabstracted. He's just a little lad looking for new coping methods cuz he feels bad for everything he put the cast through, and my Abel loves to help with mental health care!

Also drew an interaction between the three Able designs I've seen so far. Sorry for not asking if I could draw your little guy @sm-baby! Had an idea and the doodle was already half way there before I knew it. Hope it made you smile a little!

Short blip for my version of Abel that's deviates a little is that his Caine doesn't actually resent or feel jealous of Abel in anyway and actually adores his little brudder.

I made the grave mistake of looking up what Epic the Musical was on YouTube and now I don't know peace-

That led me to listening to Survive, a song from The Cyclops Saga by Jeorge Rivera-Herrans, here's the link on Spotify:

It's so unbelievably good that I daydreamt an entire separate timeline for the Mutant Mashup AU based on this that I lovingly refer to as, the Painful Timeline.

Like I could vividly imagine DaVinci starting the song via declaration of war against either Krang Prime (Rise Krang) or a Krang infested, Dark Armor welding super Shredder. Blue would be the one who sings the battle commands in the middle of the song. By the end, DaVinci dies with the rest of the turtles get picked off one by one, leaving Blue, Sanzio, Niccolo, and Orange left to try and fight.

If they manage to get away (Blue used his portals) I imagine Sanzio lost his memory during the altercation, just like he did during the Mutant Apocalypse in canon. Niccolo would definitely need to build a new shell for himself, as a reference to the IDW comics. Blue definitely lost his arm for very obvious reasons. Orange is the least physically hurt by the enemy (y'know, baby privileges) but he does unlock more of his mystic abilities.

The rest of the fam is up in the air but here's what I got. Lou and April live but May dies, or at the very least isn't an ally because she was engineered by the Kraang themselves to be a weapon. Casey and CJ survived, Cass didn't make it and got overrun by the Kraang.

Somehow, someway they throw Krang Prime into the prison dimension with or without the sacrifice Leo did in the movie but by then, the damage to the surface is so severe that the remaining people need to go to the Mystic City. While it IS possible for the Earth to recover, it takes a very long time.

This isn't the worst of the worse timeline but it gets angsty real quick. From Sanzio struggling to regain the person he once was, to Blue's guilt over causing this entire mess, it gets pretty sad once you think about it. That's not even mentioning Niccolo or Orange's feelings about all this, or any of the other extended Hamato family and how THEY experienced this.

So I had an idea

To be completely honest, I mostly drew this as a treat for me. We don't see a lot of Roll outside of a cutscene or manning the shops and it just makes sense for her to be the player 2 in-game. Yeah we got Protoman and Bass, but c'mon!

I wanna see this lady charging in, full throttle, wooden chair in hand, and smack Wily's newest machine around like a piñata.

So yeah, player 2 au I guess? There's more info below the cut if you wanna read. Be warned, it's a long one.

First I had to ask myself why would Roll even want to fight when Rock does just fine on his own.

Roll's a coward canonically, but she also has a big heart and is willing to fight if she has to. Maybe after the first Megaman game, Rock came back far more damaged than Dr. Light expected. While this does convince him to build Rush, Roll also volunteers to join Rock in this fight.

Dr. Light was super hesitant, but Roll's reasoning was that if Wily was willing to kidnap the Light Numbers to one up Light, who knows what else he would do? Rock already had a hard time fighting them by himself and the Numbers weren't even built to fight. If Wily was smart enough to reprogram civil servant robots, why wouldn't he reprogram robots built to fight?

Eventually, Dr. Light relented and built Roll her own set of armor and a durable broom. She has a shorter attack range, but in exchange she deals way more damage. She doesn't have the copy chip Rock does, so her armor doesn't change color, but her broom does and can change shape/color depending on which weapon is equipped.

Now onto my thought process during the drawing.

When I was drawing the armor, I wanted to keep a couple things in mind. Specifically, what makes Roll so iconic by herself. She has her hair, the green bow, her dress, and her broom/cleaning products.

One other thing I kept in mind was the various depictions of Roll in combat armor. Many fans have made their own and they all look amazing, but I always thought Roll was more of a heavy hitter up close. Most equip Roll with a buster like Rock, which is a good direction to go in, but it wasn't what I wanted to do. Then I looked at Roll's"official" armors, specifically the armor she wore during the Upon a Star movie and the armor she dreamed of from Megaman 11.

I basically put a chest piece and shoulder armor over the Megaman 11 armor, I removed the buttons on it, both of them had a heart motif on the chest which I thought suited Roll very well so I added that. I also used her hat from the Megaman Fangame Perfect Blue. You may notice her arms don't have the bulky arm guards most robot masters have... Yeah, I have no excuse for that, but Splash Woman doesn't have the guards either sooooo.....happy accident?

They're sisters so they matching!!!

I think the colors were the hardest part. I colored the dress to be more red with a pinker red for the heart and middle of the dress. Originally I had the skirt be a solid pink color and the rest of the armor be red and white, but it looked off to me. I knew I had to add her bow which meant adding green and I think that's what threw off the whole thing. The first draft only had a green bow, and I felt I had to add it somewhere else to make it look more appealing and I immediately went to color the buttons on the heart green. A small callback to Zero that doubles as a parallel.

That kinda makes me wonder if Zero was modeled after Roll and Protoman in this au. Also, what would the Megaman timeline even be like with Roll as a fighter alongside Rock? It's always better when someone has your back and Rock and Roll were always meant to be a pair.

They're twins in this au, not a couple. Just had to set the record straight.

Anyway, speaking of Blues. It makes sense why Protoman wouldn't show up as much in this context. Roll is right there, why would Rock need Protoman's help? I imagine he usually shows up only in situations where Rock and Roll are forcibly separated or shows up to both of them individually. Whether it's because he wants to help them be more independent or test the strength of their bond remains to be seen.

I have more to say about this au, I'll try drawing some expressions and go into more detail regarding Rock and Roll's personalities in the au.

How hard do you think Rise Raph and maybe 2012 Leo relate to Luisa from Encanto?

Now that I think about it, isn't 2012 Leo kinda like a mix of Luisa and Isabella??

Like, y'all know Rise Raph is under some serious pressure from being the oldest brother. (Taking care of three VERY chaotic little bros is NOT an easy task. Luisa has it objectively worse since she goes out of her way to look after her ENTIRE family. How neither of them popped a blood vessel is beyond me but whatever.) 2012 Leo has the same issue but he's also under pressure when it comes to being perfect. (Isabella outright stated she was stuck being perfect her entire life which is similar to Leo) In the sense of being the perfect ninja I mean. I'm not sure if that's just a me thing or what, but now I'm thinking of those two meeting the older Madrigal's and them all meeting up just to vent and gossip. (Leo and Isabella at least. Raph and Luisa are probably lifting weights or just chilling like royalty)

When I first brought up this au, I toyed with the idea that Zero was based on Roll and Protoman, I've been thinking about it a lot lately and drew up a few doodles of Roll using Zero's sprites as a reference. The irony isn't lost on me but I like em so much I just had to share.

If you're wondering why her skirt's missing, it's because Roll has her game face on in these doodles. The skirt is removable and in this au, Roll throws it off when she locks in. So far I haven't thought of when she does this, probably after Wily gets away one too many times or she's just had it with his schemes. Maybe it could be a callback to when Rock was contemplating killing Wily that one time? Only difference is putting Roll in Rock's place.

Idk some food for thought.

Anyways, I'll leave off with two photos the twins took while visiting their little brothers at work.
