Y’all look at this set of Napoleonic playing cards I found by Philipp Otto Runge, early 19th century.
They depict figures from the Napoleonic era including famous military figures and women wearing really pretty empire style.
The first one is supposed to be Murat.

why don't you look at a painting which is predominantly blue and lose yourself in its melancholy and maybe you'll. actually you won't calm down.

inktober day ??: s/o to the guy on the train who noticed me trying to peep the cover of the book he was reading, kindly flipped it up to reveal Pride & Prejudice, and then went back to reading it.

I really like how many of the world’s most iconic structures and places are just right next to some of the most mundane stuff imaginable, for example
Stonehenge
Is right next to a busy road
The Pyramids of Giza
Are at the outskirts of Cairo
Niagara Falls
Are part of the town of the same name
And Agrippa’s Pantheon
Is crammed inside downtown Rome
It just so interesting to notice.
