Alright! First off this is an au that will have many many many MANY MANY characters in it! So I'll gladly let anyone join if they're interested in the au!
Starting off with the kingdoms in this au. All kingdoms will be galaxies and the planets in them will be the land that the rulers rule over!
The first kingdom being Camelot that is run by a ruthless king named Donnie. After someone he cared deeply about was taken away from him by magic, he forbids magic to be in his kingdom and to whoever has magic and or practices magic, they're sent to their deaths.
Thankfully, Donnie has a dear friend who he took in after helping her father win a war. The father sadly dying in battle. The king will do anything she says and will believe her until his untimely death.
Dominator for the first half was a nice and caring woman despite being born as a witch (without the knowledge of the king).
She was always caring for her maid and kind to people in the kingdom. However, she began having terrible nightmares of her dying over and over again with a strange face looking down at her before striking her down.
As this goes on, Dominator starts to slowly become evil after practicing her magic, keeping it hidden from the king.
In the second half, she begins to grow a hatered for the King making her want to kill him along with his younger brother Prince Darren so she may take the throne and rule over the kingdom, making magic free.
In the third part, she fully becomes corrupted with her power and does everything she can to kill prince Darren.
The heir to the throne of Camelot is Prince Darren, the brother of Donnie. He's a snobby, self centered posh boi. Unlike his brother, he's a brave man and won't turn down from saving someone. Also he cares a lot for his horse Gerald! Despite being a lil asshole, he does have his kind moments and will show it to certain people or joke around with the knights (Knights of the round table), seeing them as brothers.
One day, a young woman comes to Camelot seeking out a place to stay with her dear friend and mother figure Nicola. Nicola works for the King and has known him for a few years. She was a sorcerer herself and practiced black magic, but has sinced stopped due to the rule from the king. She works as a medic and helps the people with herbs to heal the wounded knights or civilians.
The young woman named Toons arrives at Nicolas lil shack where she lives inside the castles walls.
While Toons began making herself comftable, she accidentally knocked over a bucket of water before turning around and using magic to stop it mid air making her eyes glow a light orange. This of course isn't allowed to be seen by the public, which causes Toons to try and keep it a secret unless she wants her head rolling on the floor.
While on errand for Nicola, Toons stumbles across a man running for his life and passed her. She looked to where he ran from and was face to face with Prince Darren. After some insults were thrown at each other, they began to fight, causing Toons to barely escape him using her magic that the oblivious prince failed to notice.
Further into this story, Toons attends a dinner party with Nicola who was invited by the king to eat at said party.
Unfortunatly, bandits attack the party, going after both Prince Darren and the King. Thankfully the King could fend for himself, killing the bandit that was after him but wasn't able to reach his brother in time. Thankfully, Toons was and grabbed a sword, plunging it into the bandits back and killing him.
From that day forth, the king declared Toons as a servant for Prince Darren for saving him.
The second kingdom is ruled by a horrible leader, who is allies with king Donnie. He attends the parties that Donnie hosts and will bring his servant Peepers who will soon to be his husband, along with his son Prince Wandy.
In public, Hater is seen as a serious and dangerous man, yet he will have his moments of being a dork and stupidity. He will show his gentle side yet will also be an asshole.
However, around Donnie he doesn't show that he has powers and plans to kill the king himself to overthrow Donnie's kingdom. Him being behind the bandits at the party. The bandits were slaves of his who were forced to obey or he'd have them exectuted.
The kingdom Hater rules over is a strict one. The people who live on the planets are filled with fear and will do anything the king asks/orders them to do.
Further into the story, He will begin to have alliance with Dominator, working with her until her plan fails and leaving her on her own. Banishing her from his kingdom.
Comander Peepers is also more serious, keeping the king in check and making sure the people on each planet are following all the rules the king has ordered, sending knights to keep people in check. If the people fight against the rules, they are killed or taken away to be tortured until they obey the law.
Peepers also keeps the prince in check, making sure the kid attends meetings, parties, dinner and plans for the kingdom. He enjoys his job, no matter the amount of times he's yelled at, he'll follow his kings orders and perform them as perfect as he can. If he fails at an order, he would begin to doubt himself as a good fit for the kingdom. Peepers may seem as a stone cold watchdog, but he does have emotions too. He cares deeply for his king but won't show it in front of Hater.
Whenever the young prince is caught stealing bread or entering the Tavern(bar), Peepers would feel embarrassed to go collect him, having a whining child to go keep in check. He would also have to help teach the kid magic, sword fighting and continue to tell him each day about his contribution to the kingdom along with the ancestors who ran it before Hater.
This small poof of orange is the future heir to the throne when Hater retires (due to him being a skeleton, he wouldn't die and just be watching over his son and keep him in check as a king).
He's incredibly curious ever since he was a child and has always seen Hater as his father, not knowing about where he actually came from. He was only a baby when Hater found him.
As a child, he likes to run around and cause mayhem inside the castle walls, not caring for many of the people who work there, especially the watchdogs. He would mostly run to get away from Peepers, so he could roam around the city.
Wandy sadly isn't allowed to go outside without someone with him, so he would drag either a poor watchdog or order a poor man who's working there to escort him around. He usually likes to either ditch said person and watch them from afar freaking out or ditch them to go to the Tavern, which is basically like a bar/pub.
Of course being a child, he isn't allowed to drink but it won't stop him from trying any chance he gets until he's dragged back to the castle by Peepers.
He practices and learns a lot from both Peepers and Hater but his least favourite activity would be history. He doesn't much care for the past or future, only wanting to be in the present and have fun while he can before becoming king.
To keep it short, the watchdogs are loyal and will fight to the death for their king. Protecting Hater at all cost. Some watchdogs will be more frightened than most but will work more out of fear than loyalty.
The knights of the round table are knights of Camelot. They are a symbol of bravery, locality and truth to the kingdom. They will protect Prince Darren in the future. Some of these knights will consist of commoners after the king has died.
Wander is a kind and caring orange looking furry spoon that travels to different kingdoms, mostly avoiding Camelot due to magic being forbidden. He travells with a friend named Sylvia who he met a long time ago during a war that he thankfully saved her from.
He's not exactly a sorcerer but keeps his hat a secret so it doesn't get taken away from him or him being seen as someone who should die. His hat is still magic but he isn't. The hat still gives Wander what he needs and not what he wants, he's incredibly respectful to the hat and cares for it.
The only person he's comftable with letting know it's magic is Sylvia and a few folks he's met and befriended along his travels.
Speaking of Sylvia, before she met Wander, she had worked for Hater before he had Wandy and Peepers. She worked for him for about a year until she was sent to a war that would have killed her.
Thankfully, Wander was there to help her get out of that situation after being swung by a powerful blade to the side. Wander thankfully took care of her and over time she began warming up to the lil weirdo. She now travells the kingdoms and lands with her friend.
That is until she meets Prince Darren and Knight Toons who, after a mishap, she's offered a job as a knight to serve Camelot.
((This is just a WIP so far. But please if you want to join this au with a oc of yours, feel free to! I'd love to keep this au open for everyone, not just the original cast of woy!))
((Thank you to @anothershittydoodler for letting me use their characters “Donnie and Darren”))
The pilot animatic for Wander Over Yonder has been found and preserved by user Derps on YouTube! Huzzah!
Israel just carried out a large-scale terrorist attack in Lebanon by causing a number of pagers to simultaneously explode across the country, injuring thousands of people.
It's a developing story, but so far eight people, including an eight-year-old girl, have been confirmed murdered in the attack. An additional 3,000 have been injured.
I've seen Western media outlet report on this like its a target attack on Hezbollah fighters, with media figures in my own country using words like 'sophisticated' and 'impressive' in their reporting.
Look at this still from a video capturing one the pagers going off, and tell me what you see:
Does this look like a justified "military target" to you?
We don't know how these pagers were compromised yet, or who were carrying them, but we're starting to get a good idea of where they exploded, and so far, from the videos circulating online, that includes shops, supermarkets, buses, cars, civilian homes and hospitals.
If this had been done by any other country in the region, it would have been called a terrorist attack.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if you've heard, but there are protests happening in Kenya. As someone living in Kenya, I want to keep you updated and inform of what happening, preferably as soon as possible (I've already delayed like a week) before the internet cuts become more serious (which hopefully it doesn't, but you never know. Or there might be national blackout)
Okay, let's start with some context. So I believe it was last Sunday, June 16th was when the Finance Bill was introduced. The Finance Bill basically goes over the budget for the government, and the measures the government is going to take to finance the budget. This bill was widely unpopular because of the amount of taxes introduced on basic necessities, such as bread, feminine hygiene products (pads and stuff), diapers, cars (not buying a new car, but literally just having one on the road), vegetable oil, fuel, and sugar. They even taxed medical treatments, such as cancer treatments and Mpesa, which is a mobile money service that so many across the country use to send and receive money, as well as pay for anything.
This is coupled by the fact that the government doesn't really do all too much for the average Kenyan, so all these extra taxes will not come back to the people. Just in the past month, our president, William Ruto, was going from country to country on our tax dollars. Just in this year alone he has done 20 international visits, and the year is only about halfway done. A lot of the tax dollars go to 'confidential expenditures', which is just whatever the officials want it to be. All of this money being spent by top government officials, but our public school system is not good, we still get frequent power outages (unless you live near State House (where the president lives)), water isn't guaranteed (my family once had no municipal water for months, and had to buy a water tank and supply our own water), youth unemployment is high, healthcare is lacking, the roads are not well built, the cost of living is higher than it's ever been, the shilling is doing badly (especially against the dollar) among many other issues.
So, fed up with all of this excessive taxation, and the corruption of the politicians, many people, especially young people have taken into the streets to protest. If you read Kenyan news, you may hear the word 'maandamano' being used to describe it, just know that it means protests, basically. Starting in Nairobi City Center (or Town, as it's locally called), the protests have spread across the country to almost every major city. Of course with protests comes police pushback.
Teargas has been used against the crowds, although some protestors are brave enough to just through it back to the police. Water cannons have been used, and recently guns. At least 5 people have died in the protests, with a couple hundred injured.
Amidst all of this, the government has decided to amend some parts of the bill, getting rid of some taxes, such as the taxes on cars and Mpesa, or changing some, such as now only imported feminine hygiene products and diapers will be taxed; domestic ones will not. This happened late last week, I believe Friday June 21st or so, and is expected to go into effect July 1st. However, this is still not enough, as the protestors were calling for the bill to be rejected completely, and led to more protests happening yesterday, Tuesday, June 25th, and more planned for tomorrow (Thursday, June 27th). Yesterdays protests were a lot more intense, with the parliment building being breached and set on fire (it didn't burn down in it's entirety), and the crowds being larger than usual.
This led to Safaricom, one of the biggest internet and cell service providers to basically disconnect us yesterday afternoon. As someone who has a Safaricom sim card and home internet, I can confirm that the internet was unbearably slow. Some social media sites, such as Youtube or Pinterest worked, although many things didn't load. Snapchat and Whatsapp worked as well, faster than the first two, but still noticeably slower. I could not get into Tumblr at all yesterday, which is what prompted me to write this long text post. If I disappear for a couple of days, you know what happens. There's also the possibility of a national blackout, but that's kinda not new. Sometimes, Kenya Power is just 'silly' and there's no power in the entire country. It's happened at least once in the past year.
So, what can you do? Personally, I think just being aware and speaking about this is probably one of the best things to do for now. Other than a national blackout, I don't see this situation devolving into full-scale violence, and I'm hoping really hard that it doesn't. If you have any friends or relative in Kenya, perhaps reach out to them and make sure that they're okay. In addition, as you keep the situation of Kenya in mind, be sure to also keep in mind what's happening in other parts of the world, such as Palestine, Congo, and Sudan. We're not free until everyone is free.
Anyways, thanks for reading, I'll drop links for further info below.
PS. I forgot to mention that firstly, we've sent police to Haiti, even though I'm fairly sure that we're not allowed to do that. Secondly, the government has threatened to shut down KTN, a major news broadcasting service in response to this.
PPS. I forgot to mention that this isn't the first time that there were protests against him. It happened around summertime last year as well, although those protests were organized by his main opposition, Raila Odinga, who was basically pulling a Trump. I believe the national blackout happened in the midst of all of that, so my fear for a national blackout is not unfounded.
Update (27/6/24) : So, the finance bill has passed in Parliament, but Ruto has refused to sign it, which you might consider a win, right? Well, not really. Since Parliament has already passed it, if they don't rescind it, it will become law in 21 days. All he's done is kinda bought himself time to oppress the protestors since if Parliament doesn't' rescind it, it'll go into effect later than July 1st.
I'm trying to see if I can find what the government has allocated funds to in order to paint a picture of how the government is misuing our tax money, but I can't seem to find a credible source, just things put on social media. A starting point, for sure. I'll be back this afternoon to continue looking
Also, I'm okay! I'm safe, and will most likely be for the time being! There are some protests near my house but I personally have not physically been at the protests. Today is another scheduled day for protests, so we'll see what comes out of this (hopefully no violence, but I did talk to a guy who went Tuesday, and he said that someone got shot right next to him, so... yikes.)
Okay, I'm back, and here's what I found. This article from the Nation, a Kenyan news source, goes over the budget for the deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua. These figures seemed to be the source of what many on social media are quoting, so I'll link the article here.
As well as this video from Tiktok that goes over what the article is saying:
I will list the prices in the infochart from the Tiktok in USD so you can get a sense of how much money this is. Keep in mind that this is just for DP Gachagua alone. Conversion rate is 100 shillings to 0.77 dollars.
Karen Home Renovation (For context, Karen is a wealthy residential area in Nairobi where the deputy president lives): $5,106,382.97 (5.1 million)
Harambee Annex Office (His office) Refurbishment: $3,558,994.19 (3.56 million)
Confidential Expenditure (Whatever he wants it to be without reporting what exactly it was): $6,808,510.63 (6.8 million)
Drug Abuse Fight*: $1,934,235.98 (1.9 million)
Medals: $1,934,235.98 (1.9 million)
Motor Vehicles: $1,547,388.78 (1.5 million)
Household Appliances: $19,342.36
Office Furniture: $290,135.40
Educational Aids*: $15,473.89
Laundry: $16,247.58
Internet Connection: $77,369.44
Accomodation: $704,061.89
Gas: 4,023.21
*The reason the person in the video laughed at this is because politicians here have a history of allocating funds to public works but the money gets taken. That's why a lot of roads are half finished, some official took the money that was meant to finish the road.
Also, to give a sense of the purchasing power of the Kenyan shilling, my daily commute costs about 160 ksh. A six pack of hot dog rolls is 120. Snickers is like 224. I got oatmeal and chia seeds for 789. Some Sony Bluetooth headphones are going for about 7,000. So please let that sink it how much money that is, and why we're so mad and insistent on not paying any more taxes.
(7/24/7: Reblogged this with more updates.)
