Love not having a ”””fandom””” specific blog. Something new will just consume my mind and everyone has to accept it. My house

I've been keeping it off my face as much as I can on video, but I'm livid about the TikTok ban.
I have about 100,000 followers on that app. I joined during the pandemic. I was lucky to find a community full of incredible people, many of whom I now consider lifelong friends. Because of the community I found on that app, I found space to experiment with my gender presentation. I was able to come out as nonbinary (to feel SAFE ENOUGH to come out as nonbinary) because of that app.
I've seen a few Tumblr posts in which people gloat they never got into TikTok. Good for you. You won't suffer emotionally, and that makes you feel superior. But if you have no concept of what that app has meant for more than 170,000,000 Americans (that's half of all Americans!), many of whom do not have access to community in physical spaces, kindly sit down.
The ban constitutes the largest mass layoff in American history. We will lose billions of dollars in our domestic economy. Over 7 million small businesses are shuttering because of the ban. You will feel the effect of that whether or not you were on the app. If you can't grasp the significance of that, again: kindly sit down.
The language of the TikTok ban has set a dangerous precedent for the American government to shutter any tech platforms they deem "dangerous" for arbitrary, undisclosed, nebulous reasons. This will affect Americans' ability to organize, spread information, and protest. They have effectively banned our right to assembly in digital spaces. This is the greatest infringement of free speech that has ever occurred in the United States. If you can't grasp the significance of that, either: kindly sit down.
This is bigger than "never falling for the TikTok craze." This is an enormous governmental overreach sanctioned by our own Supreme Court. It's bigger than teens doing silly dances you can sneer at from your smug high horse.
And if you can't grasp that: Kindly. Sit. Down.
My doctor and therapist: now with this autism + ADHD diagnosis you need to learn to unmask because masking all the time will make you burn out again and feel like shit
Other people: well it's just interesting how after getting the diagnosis you suddenly start behaving like that I mean I'm not saying you're faking it's just funny how you suddenly cannot be normal like you were before
having a uterus SUCKS man bc all day you'll be feeling the "hey bestie check your pants 😃 check it right now 😃 you might be getting your period 😃 hey bestie i think youre bleeding 😃" and then when you check if you got your period and your body is like WRONG ❌️ its The Slime
Teehee just kidding you don't get a choice
How?
When I was a kid I was a big fan of the big Garf, and as a man who doodles on every sheet of paper I also ended up learning how to draw him and doodled him on everything, I got introduced to Heathcliff through drawfee and since Garfield should be long retired by now I look at the comics. I also learned how to doodle him, I believe the first time I really thought about it was doodling on a foggy car window, where I doodled them kissing
What?
Imagine, if you will, Garfield going around the neighborhood and finding another outdoor car by the name of Heathcliff, Heathcliff is mute. They go ham heisting, caterwauling, etc. in a universe where they are catboys I imagine Heathcliff can ride a motorcycle and maybe cook but there's no shortage of non catboy content given Heathcliffs robot son and various other lore. Garfield thinks Heathcliff is cool, maybe even adventurous. Heathcliff thinks Garfield is funny, and secretly nice.
Why?
Why not?
Hi increasingly exasperated mutuals, would you guys like the garfcliff lore? (Garfield/Heathcliff)
I'm not afraid of anything
viridian is sooooo cunt like i would kiss her on the mouth
I agree!

AGONIZING ctl idea that I had a few years ago and just remembered: a trans guy is abducted by the fae as a depressed, closeted teen. when he returns as a changeling, now an adult who's becoming happy in his transition (despite all he's been through), he finds that the fetch they left in his place is nothing like him. she is the good daughter his parents always wanted, she is upwardly mobile and bright-smiling and respectable, she is everything he failed to be because he was himself. when the gentry took him and replaced him with this facsimile, his parents noticed nothing wrong — in fact, that was the moment their child started acting right. finally, she's let go of all her silly phases, she's not so closed-off and pointlessly defiant. they're a happy family now. if his parents learned the truth, if they could possibly believe it, would they even want him back? he turns away from his old home. he doesn't want to know. and neither do they.
