or the “Dr. Kan proves that demons exists… kinda” au
So Chapter 4 is almost exactly the same. Watari pulls her fire trap and Hama becomes the Blackened by triggering the trap and is sent off to be executed in the Magic circle.
However, in his excitement to execute Hama, Dr. Kan does something by accident. Even after going over the execution step by step, the staff are unable to come up with a non-supernatural explanation for what went wrong. Kan later theorized that he may have accidentally activated an ancient demonic ritual somehow in his attempts to emulate one.
Because during the execution, the fire stopped hurting Hama. Then his demon arm, his head, his chest, his ear, his eyes, all started to hurt more than the fire and the IV’s. The other students, his friends, all watch him change. They watch him transform. They watch as he is reborn as a demon.
Hama eventually is able to fight through the pain, but he is 100% running on adrenaline so he doesn’t quite understand what’s going on other than everything hurts, there’s fire, and he should definitely get away from the fire. He hears his friends calling out from behind the execution glass. They’ve seen his transformation, but they don’t care, they know Hama is a good person. Wada is still trying to reach out to him. Hayashi is cheering him on.
So Hama breaks through the remaining restraints (they were much easier to break than the one around his arm). He trudges through the fire, towards his friends calling for him. And when he reaches the glass, Hama stares at his new self reflected at him. Hama doesn’t recognize himself at first, but once he realizes that it’s him he’s staring at, he freezes up. He’s a monster, he’s a demon. He- he killed Watari. He deserves this—
Then he sees past his reflection, and sees his friends again. While they all have mixed amounts of emotion on their faces, one thing’s the same. They all stare at him with horrified looks, but he knows that they are not scared of him (Maybe a little, especially Hiroaki), but they’re scared for him.
That’s what gives him the courage to break the glass.
(After everyone backed away first, he didn’t want any of them to get hurt).
(he never wanted to hurt anyone in the first place, after all)
Everyone is stunned by what happened. Some stare at Monomoko, scared that the rabbit will intervene somehow, but the execution chamber has been sealed off again and the rabbit has scurried off (to go see the staff immediately, she has no clue how to deal with this).
The group shuffle into the elevator. They want to comfort Hama, but they don’t know what to say. Hama is still shell shocked himself. He doesn’t respond until the group exits the elevator, and someone finally breaks the silence.
…. And that’s the AU! This is just a starting point so feel free to suggest some ideas!

Individual images under the cut:
• Canarystripe was the daughter of a loner named Beam.
• One day, Beam abandoned Canary as a kit at the ValleyClan border, where she was taken in.
• She never felt welcomed in ValleyClan and had no friends or loved ones there.
• This led her to become troublesome and lash out at others.
• She was apprentice to a strict mentor in hopes he could curb her troublesome nature, but it only made things worse because the mentor was Xenophobic towards outsiders.
• Eventually she learned of FoxClan, a clan that was formed only a couple of years ago that her mentor criticized for being to welcoming to outsiders.
• On a patrol near FoxClan border, her mentor got in an argument with a FoxClan warrior named Topituft, a former kittypet, after her mentor insulted Topituft’s kits for originally being a loners.
• Canarypaw was in awe after Topituft vehemently defended his kits and declared that kits are welcome in FoxClan, regardless of their origin.
•The next moon, Canarypaw decided she had to join FoxClan, and waited at the border where she met the leader, Finchstar
• Finchstar allowed Canarypaw to join the clan, and even personally mentored her. • Canarypaw later earned her Warrior name, Canarystripe.
• Several other ValleyClan apprentices eventually joined FoxClan, Hollyhockpaw (she was abducted by Twolegs and wasnt allowed to rejoin ValleyClan) who became Hollyhockspots, and Sybilpaw (exiled after her father, a rogue, killed two apprentices and spared her) who become Sybil.
• Eventually Finchstar become a father figure to Canarystripe.
• One moon during a patrol, Finchstar, Canarystripe and some other cats stumbled across a dead loner and his newborn kits.
• Canarystripe recognized the liner as her father, but reasoned that she was probably mistaken, she barely remembers what her father looks like anyway.
•Finchstar and his mate, Tumblefreckle, adopted the kits, with Canarystripe attempting to look after them (she is skilled in kitsitting and isn’t just looking after her possible siblings.)
• She formed a connection with Whistlekit, who was interested in herbs and would make a great medicine cat/healer. • However, FoxClan already had 3 medicine cats, and Whistlepaw was made a warrior apprentice.
• Canarystripe didn’t let that stop her, so she came up with a plan. She knew that one of the medicine cats, Gato, was originally an elder who retired due to her failing eyesight.
• She knew Gato wanted to be helpful to FoxClan and wouldn’t be content in becoming an elder again, so Canarystripe suggested Gato become a mediator, a position Gato had expressed interest in before. • Gato agreed, and with Finchstar and Whistlepaw’s permission, Whistlepaw was made a med cat apprentice and Gato a mediator.
• However Whistlepaw soon became overwhelmed with her duties because one med cat died and the other was ill. • Canarystripe stepped up and became a temporary med cat, and helped look after a patient who needed more attention than the others. •Canarystripe would become a warrior after Whistlepaw became a full med cat, Whistlecrag, but by that time the Clan realized that Canarystripe and Whistlecrag and her siblings were likely related because Scratchfur, Whistlecrag’s brother, looked almost identical to Canarystripe.
• One moon Canarystripe was helping out in the medicine den when Whistlecrag got in a n argument with the deputy Lilacdapple.
• After leaving camp to settle the argument privately, Lilacdapple killed Whistlecrag.
• Everyone was distraught at the death of Whistlecrag, and Lilacdapple was exiled alongside another warrior who murdered a cat (story for another time)
• Canarystripe was forced to become a basically permanent Med cat, and was very overwhelmed at the prospect. Even though she had a much older and more experienced healer to help her with her duties, Canarystripe had mostly relied on Whistlecrag’s guidance to help around the medicine den.
let’s see how many transphobics we can weed out
chat is this good do you see my vision
song: 紗痲 (Shama)
Dhurke definitely blames himself for Jove’s death.
Uuuuuugh
No one talks much on Dhurke and everything that happened with Jove
But like he 100% blamed himself for that, especially after finding out he was the only actual victim?
Do you think they set an honorary faux burial for Jove after AA:6?
Like we all think bought that right? Like they found out the queen who's death they obsessed over for years is alive
And the other queen that made them think wrongfully killing others for defending amd doing thier job was okay was exposed by the only victim of that fire's son
Like has to be at least something???
Nahyuta come on man? Like idk right by your dad's or something??? Jdbd
Idk I'm tired
…they did WHAT now?
I feel completely betrayed by the Fahrenheit 451 2018 movie. Like, why would you age up the 17 year old girl who's supposed to have a daughter like bond with the main character to make her a love interest, when the main character already has a wife. In fact, they completely removed her because they didn't wanna show cheating, when she was extremely important in the book. Like... Huh?
Well if Hama actually is the victim that's going to make Hellbent really hard to relisten to. ☹️
so um. My prediction is that Watari died but uh.
I think Hama might've killed her by accident
WHICH MAKES IT WORSE!!! GOD I FUCKING HOPE IT WASNT HIM!!!!
And let those who lived longer than they should’ve mourn.
Let Faruzan stare at Sumeru city, comparing it to the one she once knew. Faruzan should struggle dealing with how things have changed. She should search for records of her friends, her classmates, and even just acquaintances in order to learn what happened to them. Faruzan cries at night over the loved ones who died thinking they would never see them again. Let her blame herself for not solving that puzzle quick enough.
Let Olaf from Mondstaht confuse people for his friends from decades ago. Let all his jokes fall flat because they only made before anyone was born. Let him be awkward around Diona and Draff, the kin he lives with, who don’t really know him and only took him in out of pity and his connection to him through blood. Let him be terrified of the cold and ice and snow, because he doesn’t want to wake up in a different time again. Let him wake up in a Springvale that’s comfortably familiar yet terrifying foreign to him at the same time. Let him rely on the bottle to drown out his misery, ignoring the displeasure of his great great… Diona when he does so. Let him find comfort in a well dressed bard who gets his jokes, who understands his stories like he was there, who has wisdom well beyond his years, who feels like an dream when he wakes up the next morning, hangover hitting him hard.
Let those characters find each other one day, and share a drink as they can relate to each other’s struggles. Let them understand how they miss the world they had left behind, and are constantly reminded of every day. Let Faruzan and Olaf mourn together.
let immortal characters in genshin be horrifying. they're not human and people should recognize that!! it's way more interesting if they don't feel normal
venti forgets to breathe, sometimes. he doesn't need to - he is the air around them. his eyes are just a little too vivid if you look at him directly. he doesn't bleed when he should and he doesn't sleep, either.
xiao stays away from liyue harbor. he doesn't want to corrupt them with his karma, and he doesn't want to frighten them, either. he knows what he looks like: too-gold eyes with too-slitted pupils, ears too pointed and fangs too sharp to be human. if you look at him in the corner of your eye, black and green and red dance across his skin and reach out to you.
ei has never learned to be human. her eyes are blinding and electricity crackles over her skin. the puppet she inhabits has too-smooth skin, porcelain clear and cold to the touch. she moves too quickly, too sharply, like a bolt of lightning that cannot slow down.
zhongli forgets human customs. he speaks of events from thousands of years ago like they were yesterday and talks in long-dead languages. to be under his gaze while solidifying a contract is to feel the weight of millennia upon your back. he makes no sound when he walks and yet his steps can shake the ground.
